Your Dad was my eye doctor when I was in high school. I still have the Christmas Card that he gave me of Van Halen, signed, and with all of you dressed up! He was a very nice man!
Cool,Mindy..He sounded so cool , always forking over big bucks to help band get going .Without Dad , it's hard to.say if they would have gotten going as fast or as well.
Mr. Roth is genetically incapable of being depressed! His mind is endlessly fascinated by the world around him. Bottle that joy Mr.DLR and the world will beat a path to your door.
No matter what they say, Dave tackled life head on. I would want no part of the shit he did like sleeping in those wet, hot sleeping bags in the heart of the jungles, and many other Adventures he roamed into. A lot of times, I pictured Dave at the beach...white sand and blue water, when most of his Adventures were waaaay different.
This is why I adore David Lee, such depth, empathy and experience. There's no faking with him. All that and a martial artist, acrobat, ROCKSTAR etc. Handsome as ever too! Great opening picture-David Lee is a true Alpha! When I say Alpha, I say it in the true sense of the word-Alpha Man-Man of Value, knows his purpose, strong & courageous, real man naturally-he just has it and always will, man of culture and experience. Absolutely love this show #19!
We tear out the trees and name the street after the trees that are gone. Boom. I need a jewelry box for his pearls of wisdom. Keep listening. They are in there.
Things I love about DLR. His storytelling ability, his laugh, (like my grandfather), and his life perspective. I wish he would do more Roth Show's, or ready books on tapes.. I think it would be interesting to take comments from fans and put it into a storyline, "ASK DAVE." I have many questions without answers.
Saw you Dave in 1979, Van Halen Tour. I still remember how flipping amazing it was. Made me want to get out and see the world! I did thanks Brother Dave. Glad you have a podcast, a pleasure hearing your stories.
I met you a few times at the ol’ Starwood back in the day… You’ve always been quite the wordsmith with a “gift of gab”…My band Jail-Bait was the Sunday night follow up band to VH on Fri/Sat a couple times … One time at the “Wood” downstairs, I actually tried to have a meaningful conversation with you, but unfortunately, I had laryngitis at the time… Who knows what the hell we would’ve talked about
You know I just read an article about Sammy Hagar saying a lot of negative stuff about Dave, after listening to Dave on some interviews and growing up on Van Halen with Roth, I never listened to Van after Roth left, it just wasn't the same to me, anyhow I really think Hagar is talking out his ass. David shares so much info enthusiastically, painting pictures with his memory , his voice his very peaceful and comfortable. Very cool positive vibe.
Did the same. Turned 18 senior in high school. Had advance Red Cross first aid. CPR training. Most of the calls were medical sick calls. Women with loads of cats. Nice houses on the outside but dumps on the inside. Zillion stories.
Hey Sammy you could learn a lot from Dave, I saw Van Helen twice on the Balance tour and the 2007 tour in Buffalo and inToronto and even if Roth didn’t do the flying splits he still put on a better show than Sammy did(I felt let down when I saw the Balance tour was a let down I wanted my money back. Long live the Greatest frontman DAVID LEE ROTH. Hey Sammy keep your mouth shut and bow down to the master. Roth is the real voice of Van Halen period.
I think Sammy has learned a lot from Dave. It’s okay to like different things in life. And sounds like you shouldn’t worry about Sam, go meditate, and then come back to listen the original singer of VH. Have fun. I’m going to Cabo.
Dave… You’re the best. I really enjoyed listening to you talk because I grew up in San Gabriel Valley not too far from where you did and I can relate to all these locations. Although our stories are a little different, we were definitely on the same roads. Bless you always brother✊🏼
That is Amazing. Your stories of the Bronx and The city. So True. I was born two days after Eddie. Your guitar player. Totally Awesome that your with us. I love your podcasts. So funny, in a good way. Your Dad was like my dad. Took me travelling as a young person. He worked in the Navy Dept. We started going to Miami in the 1960 s. I became a Nurse. Worked at Mount Sinai on Key Biscayne. Jogged past the Bee-Gees house before work, 1979. "Staying Alive". I always loved the music. Opera, Radio City Music Hall, Ballet, the Sound of Music. From Woodstock , to Disco. Your music. I love all of it. And I love to Dance to it. Keep going David. You put it together so nicely. 😊🗺🏯🗼Peace Cor. And Samoa, Fuigi!!! I could go on...🎶🎸🌷♥️.
I got to see David Lee Roth one time at the rainbow in Hollywood I said David Lee Roth and he said hey guys I must have been 18 or 21 i am 52 now right on DLR right on Homeboy🙏👍👍
Omg, I was a huge fan of the last David Lee Roth show. I just listened to him on the Howard Stern airways after Howard Stern left then when they parted ways with Roth I stopped listening to the radio pretty much but he's very talented in almost endless ways I believe
I hate the stench of laundry products. I used one laundry when I first moved into this districts and years later, and many washes later, there is still a hint of that detergent in my clothes. The laundry I chose after is way better. The Vietcong have said they always knew when an American patrol was coming: the smell of shampoo, soap, aftershave and laundered uniforms was a dead giveaway and even hit them before the noise of a US patrol being "quiet and stealthy".
We all have that cool uncle who travels the world then drops by to see the nephews and nieces and makes mom and dad totally nervous and uncomfortable as he challenges the uptight confines his sibling has decided to raise their offpsring in...fear n loathing DON'T inspire kids to be conquering heroes like Conan the Barbarian and Diamond Dave...so DLR is the uncle I always wanted, NEVER had, but at least in the chaos of the early 21st century I have these amazing dispatches from 'uncle Dave's ' basement somewhere in California.😎
I love natural smells, even if they’re stinky! I HATE all the febreze and the chemicals and the overwhelming “clean” sprays here in Buffalo! People here shower every day and it shows. NY has a big problem with stink. Just fucking embrace it.
I've been a fan of Van Halen and listening to David Lee Roth since I was young kid..... To this day I still have no clue what the hell he is ever talking about
I would Love to Hangout, Work For, Work With, Create an Entity, just about anything wih this Cat. You gotta weigh people out, Everyone has their Quirks, Issues, etc.. Good...Bad...Ugly....Beautiful... weigh it out... If they have an Issue that You just can't deal with.. then move along... If you can deal with it... Then ACCEPT IT.... and Enjoy Your Friendship.... Some times total opposites can Create Great Things...
Good evening, just got back from London ont rib fest .I heard this guy singing how he's hot for teacher.dave was there in spirit.and when that happens makes the ribs all the better
AAAAAAAAA What the fuck are you talking about Dave, I feel like eating ice cream while watching the washer humm and thinking that poor fella on the bus must be thinking of his itchy butt. love you Dave. Even a ham sandwich smells good on Tuesdays
Your Dad was my eye doctor when I was in high school. I still have the Christmas Card that he gave me of Van Halen, signed, and with all of you dressed up! He was a very nice man!
Awesome, the great Dr. Nathan !
Cool,Mindy..He sounded so cool , always forking over big bucks to help band get going .Without Dad , it's hard to.say if they would have gotten going as fast or as well.
Thats soooooo cool
That is so cool!! Great memories!
Mr. Roth is genetically incapable of being depressed! His mind is endlessly fascinated by the world around him. Bottle that joy Mr.DLR and the world will beat a path to your door.
I think he's incapable of being bored!
Manic
People think he’s odd, and he is, but he’s present and wise. He had the curiosity of life. So, he’s become the “sensei.” A great way to be.
No matter what they say, Dave tackled life head on. I would want no part of the shit he did like sleeping in those wet, hot sleeping bags in the heart of the jungles, and many other Adventures he roamed into. You are so right. DLR is still handsome- and his mind fires away at the speed of light. Love
Dave is a wonderful storyteller. He always has a sence of urgency and honesty to his approach.
It's a pleasure see you telling your stories here, Dave!😉
Love you guy 😍😘🥰
The energy. I'm living life differently... from here on out. I promise... The DLR positivity is infectious.
We tear out the trees and name the street after the trees that are gone.
Boom.
I need a jewelry box for his pearls of wisdom.
Keep listening. They are in there.
All a man needs is a pickup truck,Van Halen and a good dog.

I love Dave. I can imagine that he was a lot to take on a tour bus back in the day, but he's interested, intelligent, and incredibly well-read.
My heart throb In the 80s. And will always be. Biggest fan here. Love 💘. Nobody loves you like me. 👍
So sadly, Edward is gone. Let's enjoy the mutant superhero that Diamond Dave is for as absolutely long as we can. You can't get this stuff no more.
I tuned out for a month and missed a couple episodes. I’m catching up now. I love these stories
He's a great story teller and I always loved his humor.
I like to listen to him speak almost as much as his singing ..He has such insight.
Things I love about DLR. His storytelling ability, his laugh, (like my grandfather), and his life perspective. I wish he would do more Roth Show's, or ready books on tapes.. Absolute genius Diamond David Lee Roth
I feel like I'm in a circle of smokers listening to great stories..
Saw you Dave in 1979, Van Halen Tour. I still remember how flipping amazing it was. Made me want to get out and see the world! I did thanks Brother Dave. Glad you have a podcast, a pleasure hearing your stories.
When a new episode comes ... I too say OHHH YEAH!!

Did the same. Turned 18 senior in high school. Had advance Red Cross first aid. CPR training. Most of the calls were medical sick calls. Women with loads of cats. Nice houses on the outside but dumps on the inside. Zillion stories.
Probably the most vocal and entertaining lead singer in the world of rock and roll history🇺🇸
Great example of why Dave never got beyond Hooking Up as far as relationships go 😂
