Helpful hint: Rubberbands are handy but don't last "forever" I saw in another video to use a rubber band but to then tie it off with a piece of twine/thick string .... made sense to me!! Great Video - LOVE Gnomes!!

ahhhh Deirdre honestly better to enjoy a relaxing session of Gnome making .. I only did it in 3 mins for so many reasons ha x mainly because it was one of my very first videos 4 years ago ... and all of my friends wanted me to make them one .. I was like No ! they literally take minutes and so easy to make haaaaa and that is really where this video was born. of course I never expected it to do as well as it has x

Great tutorial. Thank for sharing this. I agree with all the previous comments that it's better without any annoying electronic music playing. The only (tiny) thing I would like to see is a view of how the "hat sock" looks from the back. Just to make sure I've got the sock on the correct way etc. But I love love love your video! I made one but he needs a beard replacement. My gnome’s nose was hella hard to grasp and put anything on besides string, and I had to use a slipknot lasso to do that. However he came out very cute despite my manufacturing deficiencies. Woman you must have 5 arms to make the gnome and videotape in 3 minutes 14 seconds. So much fun. I think I will make another one now. Thx for the tutorial. Ditto the music. I like listening to makers.

TFS! You might have got it under 3 by simply double knotting the sock... no cutting no bands no hot glue. Simple and secure. Also...my gram taught me.....rags work well as stuffing-cut em up or roll up an old sleeve or pant leg. (weight with a bag of pebbles if needed for smaller gnomes or fat snowmen.) The amount of old clothes that end up in landfills in the U.S. is mind boggling. We must re use more fabric.

I will have to try these with some socks I have that need a home. They are too good to toss, but not good enough to donate. They should be perfect for gnome clothes and hats, though! Loved the video!
you could totally try sand ... it didn't work for me as it came through the sock this rice was out of date... although the rice I used for the sock rabbit wasn't... I'm sure you will find the best method that works for you Thanks so much for watching 😁😁😁
Claire’s Crafty Corner and louise lill, I was kind of hoping the gnomes would take the place of the elf. We had an elf growing up, but he stayed put. He didn’t creep around and report to The Big Guy. I just watched a video where a girl bought some really neat fluffy yarn that looked like blonde wool and made pigtails. I’m going to add a side ponytail braided for my granddaughter. She made the perfect Elsa for Halloween and her birthday is in December

In one of the facebook group I am, it was recommended to freeze the rice for a week beforehand it will help prevent the rice from getting bugs.

Coach Jo sometimes with the rubber band the hot glue melts it and rice goes every where. I use twine to tie off. Even for the nose.

I just watched a video where a girl bought some really neat fluffy yarn that looked like blonde wool and made pigtails. I’m going to add a side ponytail braided for my granddaughter. She made the perfect Elsa for Halloween and her birthday is in December
