Love gnomes and I have several but I have never made one myself. I think I could do this one. You tutorial was very clear. Thanks for sharing. Have a Blessed day.
I enjoyed the video. Could we have a demo with more than a head? How did you make the nose. I could see putting these on the top of Christmas gifts next year.
Of course, it's a question I get A LOT and it took me a long time to find it. :) It's called Mongolian Fur and you can get it on Etsy (in small cuts) and on Amazon in larger or by the yard cuts. It's not as inexpensive as craft store fur, but the look cannot be matched. This color is frosted gray and it, along with white, are the most popular colors. That said, there are TONS of options, especially starting about now until Christmas. Have fun with it!
@@SarahNenniDaher Thank you for answering so fast What I got was a pink, because I wanted to do my first gnome for Breast Cancer I think for my first it's ok (I hope) I made 2, 1 is for my husbands work I love your patterns I didn't find 1 for this, but I used what I saw from you and tried Thank you also for the fur name Is that what I will just put in under Amazon or Esty to find it? Also I love that you are so normal, I mean you say you are messy you burn yourself (like I do with the glue gun) I'm sorry if this sounds odd, but I have not seen alot that say that/the truth, that it's all so easy and then I do and it's not for me I have met one other on here this week (not gnomes) but she is the same as you in that way It makes watching and learning, just maybe I can do to, and learn from you both! Thanks again, of and sorry I did ask about the best/right way to find that fur 🙂
@@7peacefrog Aww thank you for the sweet words and I totally understand you - a perfect crafter, I am not. :) Okay, so yes - you will search "Mongolian Fur" and see what comes up; sometimes they are sold out, but sometimes they have full yards and even 10-15 inch square cuts. My favorite brand is actually Shannon Fabrics or Barcelonetta, so I try to buy from them on Amazon. The shop on Etsy I order from is great for smaller cuts, too (rufflesandrainboots.com/go/brown-fur-partial-cuts/) - not that fur, but go to Rachelle's shop- she's the sweetest.
@@SarahNenniDaher I'm sorry if that's what you thought I was saying, I was saying that when I am watching you crafting I feel like i'm learning and crafting with a friend
Love the gnome. How would you suggest making a goatee for a gnome? I am making a biker gnome for my daughters boyfriend for his birthday. He doesn't have a beard just a goatee. Trying to make it look as close to him as possible with the facial hair.
Oooh, it's some fun stuff. It's called Sherpa fleece (or lamb's wool fleece, depending on where you buy it). It's at JoAnn's and comes in quite a few colors.
That is a Sherpa fur or Sherpa fleece. It can also be called lamb's wool fleece, depending on where you buy it. I'll link to Joann's so you can see it: www.joann.com/fashion-faux-fur-sherpa-fabric--grey/15123888.html

You better get some rest so you can keep crearing
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Do you use rice for the filling please?
I love this gnome! I was wondering what you have on your finger that prevents you from getting burned by the hot glue. I definitely need that! :)
I wanna know too. I end up using ✂️ to hold the glue down. Ouchy

I would form a face shape to delineate the body from the head and add the goatee to that face shape.
🤩🤩
I love this & how simple it is ... just 1 question ~ What did you use for the trim on the hat?? Thx!!
Oooh, it's some fun stuff. It's called Sherpa fleece (or lamb's wool fleece, depending on where you buy it). It's at JoAnn's and comes in quite a few colors.
@@SarahNenniDaher Thank you ... I need to get some of that & more fur for beards!! looks like a trip to Joann's is in order!! Thx again!!
What is the fur you added to the edge of the hat?
That is sherpa or lamb's wool fleece. It's available at craft stores and Joann's on the bolt.
I missed what fabric that is that you glued around the raw edge of the hat?
That is a Sherpa fur or Sherpa fleece. It can also be called lamb's wool fleece, depending on where you buy it. I'll link to Joann's so you can see it: www.joann.com/fashion-faux-fur-sherpa-fabric--grey/15123888.html
Thanks got it.
that is NOT a Christmas sock! it is a tree sock or a winter sock. Snowman are also NOT Christmas, they are winter and sometimes year 'round!! LOVE, love, love your Gnomes!
Well that makes me feel a bit better, Terry! LOL You know, I don't even know where I got that sock... Things just appear in my craft room. :)
@@SarahNenniDaher I should have added "just like gnomes are season-less"... gnomes have their own mind when and where they'll show up!!!
I got the smaller pair.
Thanks, Tami. I got the longer ones to stuff those loooooong shelf sitter legs. :) Thank you for telling me about them.
