Honestly, having the first avenger to meet Kang be Ant-Man is very weird. If you want my take on it, Dr. Strange should have been the first avenger of their universe to meet him. In fact, Kang should have been the villain in Multiverse of Madness in my opinion.
In my opinion, they COULD HAVE pulled it off very well, the second trailer was very evident of that. Scott, a man who’s lost time with his daughter, meeting another man that can grant him just that. BUT, we saw none of that in the final film. NONE of it. It wss stupid
Not sure how anyone can take this stupid video seriously when you say Kang made his cameo in Antman… have you not heard of Loki? Lol. Trash opinion video.
Honesty when I watched this movie in theaters with my family and saw the two villains in the movie Kang and Modok I thought in my head “Eric is gonna hate these villains.”
Actually there is one villain right now who is actually a huge threat but Marvel insists that this villain is a hero. I’m talking about Wanda Maximoff.
I heard that Kevin Feige was a fan of Rick and Morty and hired the writers of that show. Jesica Gao (She-Hulk), Michael Waldron (Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Avengers: Secret Wars) and Jeff Loveness ( Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty)
I mean Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame were written by the guys who did Thor The Dark World and Pain And Gain. Both films that got extremely mixed reviews. All I’m saying is just give them another chance, and besides Jeff knows about the bad reviews, so maybe he wants to improve upon what he did with Quantumania with his next film Kang Dynasty
For a villain who can travel through time, crush people with telekinesis, blast people out of existence, and possess technology and weaponry centuries from the future, he got owned by the ant family???
Quantumania really should have been a tense movie where our heroes battled against a more terrifying/intriguing Modok. Once Modok is defeated our heroes are hit in the face with the introduction of Kang. (who was never known by anyone even Janet. Also, think of Darth Vader and Palpatine.) Kang easily defeats our heroes. Kang Brutally kills Janet and Hank. Scott, Hope, and Cassandra barely escape with horrified/Saddened looks on their faces. And throughout the Marvel films, we see post-credits scenes of Kang killing multiverse versions of Marvel heroes to slowly gain pieces of "something" to control the multiverse. Also another suggestion Have Kang kill Cassandra I know it's gnarly but wouldn't you say it would make Kang instantly memorable as the first Marvel villain who killed a child on screen in full display as her loved ones watched?
It's because of Modok's design that I can't watch this movie anymore. He just looks too uncanny. About Kang murdering Cassie...wow, that would really be ballsy for Marvel to do. A villain murdering a.child but we got to know.
I am completely over the MCU's corny jokes.. But my biggest problem with Kang was that he was supposed to have 41st century technology and absolutely none of that seemed on display in this movie. That just told me that the writers have a very limited imagination.. Ultimately this movie just didn't make me feel anything.
MCU didn’t need another ‘Thanos’. They should have scaled the conflicts down and been more nuanced with the affect the snap had on all levels. As for kang, he sucks. As does the MCU at this point.
Just gonna correct something you said, Kang didn’t originate in this movie, he was originally set up in Loki when Sylvie and Loki met the one running the TVA, sure it was a variant like every Kang we see, but to say he was set up and introduced in this movie is false when he showed up in Loki. I’m not trying to be malicious, just correcting something.
I feel like this movie would have been fixed by antman dying or him in the wasp being stuck in the realm with Kang. The we just both have to lose line is so good and would have been a good set up for his death
I do think his more human side needs to be developed. At the same time he is driven by stopping the multiverse from colliding and killing itself. He does that by killing timelines. Problem with that is that it causes war and he who remains takes control. He’s seen so much death that life doesn’t matter to him, only what others can give him. It doesn’t seem like good writing but people who kill consistently get desensitized to it and lean more into it
I think ant man should have been stabbed by Kang while they’re trying to fight him and he dies. Then Cassie gets overpowered but puts up an okay fight. I’d also want Kang to kill Janet and modok kill hank. I’d destroy the ant man franchise to show how powerful kangs army is
In my personal opinion his motivation should have been he wants to CONQUER the multiverse so he can stop the chaos in the multiverse and stop people from ruining the timelines
Wont work since in loki they had him get killed cause he was bored of it lmao wouldnt make sense to have him go through the same steps again if we already know the ending of his ark(getting killed by sylph)
His name is kang the CONQUEROR for a reason lol that's his plan and motivation but it's stupid cause they already showed him getting beat by antman and killed by female loki lol Edit Mb I forgot I commented on this before lmao
Here are some things that should have happened 1.Kang should have been in a post credit for Dr.Strange 2 2.Kang should have killed the entire Antman family except Cassie Lang and Modok should have also died due to Kang
@@nathanthompson6720 Dr strange 2 was a multiverse movie that focused on the Marvel multiverse. Kang making an appearance would kickstart the whole Kang vs avengers storyline
Chukwudi Iwuji, Keith David, Tony Todd, Mahershala Ali, and obviously Giancarlo Esposito would have been much better as Kang. Because those guys can actually act.
Tony:” if you’re nothing without that suit than you shouldn’t have it” Me: Kang, if you’re not intimidating without that suit than you shouldn’t be a villain.
yeah without his tech at the end of the day he's just like a normal human guy. just look how easily his variant The One Who Remains was taken out at the end of loki they just stabbed him. he's not a space god, or an immortal demon or something he's just a guy with really advanced tech. they should have just made him the villain of Fantastic 4 or something i don't think Kang has ever been big bad material. he's strong but he's no Thanos or Doctor Doom or something
Thanos is the result of sticking to one of the laws of marketing that MEN OF RENOWNED in the field of marketing understood for decades . "SELL the SIZZLE not THE STEAK" They teased Thanos to us for over 5 years, the human mind is a very strange place, if you allow the idea of a threat to fester and nurture in the mind, by the time the actual threat comes, we've already solidified that threat in its entirety. Thanos is not as epic as he SEEMS to be, but we bought the sizzle... 😥It's hard to encapsulate. It's like how they say ," a slap hurts more when you know it's comming". Thanos is even worse cuz he was a 5 year slap in the making. Kang carried no weight as a result with regards to the MCU not the comics
Have you ever read the comics about his origin? I hope the writers have because Kang has a very good and dramatic story about love there. That was his sole purpose in life. To find a way to be with Ravonna Renslayer. The very act of travelling through time however creates the person he hates the most. Himself. He is destined to become himself over and over again and thus he will fail. He messes up the very thing he loves the most in the most extreme way possible. A life with Ravonna.
Its crazy that Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes the cartoon show did a better job portraying this very same storyline. I really like the idea if Kang trying to kill Captain Amerucan because he felt it was the best option to save his world
Great video as always Eric! Speaking of Jonathan Majors, are you looking forward to seeing him as the villain in Creed 3? I’ve heard that is actually quite sympathetic and a villain you can reason with. 😅😅 He blows Kang as a character out of the water already.
Honestly, I just love the representation in the movie. It's nice to see an evil psychopath like myself represented on screen, not those bad guys with a heart of gold or tragic past that every villain has now become.
When I saw the ending where Scott thinks about what Kang said and then shrugs it off like it was nothing I’m like Eric Carter is going to dislike this because it’s typical MCU where whenever anything serious happens the MCU likes to make it a joke
Also, could you do a The Phantom Menace vs A New Hope vs The Force Awakens, when an Attack of the Clones vs The Empire Strikes Back vs The Last Jedi, and a Revenge of the Sith vs Return of the Jedi vs Rise of Skywalker
He was supposed to be at full power in this movie. And he STILL couldn't beat Antman. I think the MCU just ruined their new main villain here. And I don't see how they can bring his dignity back at this point. Especially now that they will most likely recast him aswell. I think we just need a new main villain at this point.
@@EricCarter12 idk if he was at “full” power but basically too powerful to have lost probably. I think he should be a protagonist character and we get a special presentation of his backstory before Kang Dynasty and at the end it shows him escaping the engine core and sets up for his return
7:03 that transition rivals the Spider-Man 2 transition I haven't actually watched the movie yet (because I don't care about paying money for marvel films anymore) but I have seen so many responses to this film that I kinda do wanna check it out, when it comes out for free on Disney+ that is
The MCU is starting to feel like a bad 80s sequel throne so basically during the 80s one movie would do awesome then they'd make another one and another and more and more sequel till eventually the effects look so awful and horrible that eventually it just ends this is what the MCU is becoming they're effects are getting worse and worse
I am downright HORRIFIED that writers from Rick and Morty are writing the MCU content. I was very forgiving to Marvel throughout Phase Four. But after Thor: Love and Thunder came out, and after She-Hulk broke me, I came through a few choices I have made. One: The only Disney+ shows based around Marvel I will be watching from now on are What If...? and Loki, because those have competent writing. I will not be watching Iron-Heart, or Echo, or any other live action series to be released, because it is clear that the TV showrunners care about jack shit from the complaints they have heard from fans. The blatant harassing of audiences in their films and shows is also humiliating. In WandaVision, it was the casting of Evan Peters to make a dirty joke. In Eternals, it was casting Harry Styles as Eros just for the sake of it. Ms. Marvel's blatant hypocrisy after what Disney did with the live action Mulan. Thor: Love and Thunder appealing to no one, and I mean no one, but seven year olds (something Chris Hemsworth said a while back), which is clear with the jokes. And She Hulk and the twerking moment, in which Marvel and Jessica Gao were like, "You want maturity? Well, watch this." Most recently, it came with Quantumania. (SPOILERS) 10:42 sums up perfectly what this film's version of M.O.D.O.K. is. Honestly, M.O.D.O.K. is officially my most hated Marvel Cinematic Universe character of all time. The fact that they turned a very disturbing ugly looking character (something that the Avengers game did three years ago), and turned him into one of the WORST CGI characters ever created. Look at all the CGI characters created in the history of cinema. Look at the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park. Look at Gollum. Look at King Kong. Look at Ceaser. Look at Thanos. How did we get from those to M.O.D.O.K.? The jokes involving him were absolutely terrible, especially the dick joke and the died an Avenger line. The latter is, in my opinion, the most insulting line ever from Marvel. Natasha Romanoff willingly jumped off a cliff to save billions of lives. Tony Stark wielded the Infinity Stones and snapped his fingers to save billions of lives. M.O.D.O.K. started out as a corporate douchebag villain, who wore a knock off Ant-Man armor, had his head blown up like a balloon, and jumped in the way of a villain who killed Thor. What a freaking nonsense and stupid line! I didn't like Yellow Jacket in the first Ant-Man movie, but at least when he put on the suit, he was menacing. Here, he was just the worst thing ever put to screen. The worst part about all of this is that we are stuck with these writers from here on in. Forget Jon Favreau and the Russo Brothers. The guys who wrote an animated sci-fi comedy about a drunk scientist and his autistic grandson should make the next batch of projects based around the Marvel comics. Are we supposed to be impressed by that?! The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars don't look good to me anymore. The Avengers is my favorite film of all time, and Infinity War and Endgame were the perfect finale, so why they are stretching it out makes no sense in of itself. But turning them into a knockoff of a crappy CGI heavy Robert Rodriguez production is just the worst, laziest, stupidest, unpleasant, ungrateful, and most insulting thing you could do to what is essentially Infinity War and Endgame on steroids. I had faith in Marvel a long time ago. I grew up watching the stories and characters of the Infinity Saga unfold, and it felt like a complete narrative. Seeing the Multiverse Saga begin seemed like such a cool prospect. Now I know that it's just going to be quickly forgotten as soon as it showed up. As of now, the comic book movies I want to watch are the DC films, because James Gunn seems to be knowing what he is doing, and DC is my favorite comic book franchise, and tied with Star Wars as my favorite franchise. Gunn will bring new life into the comic book movie genre with Superman Legacy, Lanterns, The Brave and the Bold, Swamp Thing, and many others in the future. As for Marvel, while I will be watching their films, their TV shows, their tie-in specials, their comics, if they are not worth it, I am not paying attention to it. This is not what we wanted from Marvel, and they gave it to us anyway. I have one last message to Marvel. FUCK. YOU! That was a long one, so expect a big read.
Kang should've been saved so he can be the main villian of the 2025 fantastic 4 reboot movie that wouldeve made more sense considering he was Thier villain in the comics atleast Rama tut Kang he never even was Ant-Mans villians in the comics
I believe with plot “power” like time travel, accompanied by the reputation of Marvel so far, the view this guy shared in his video is expected. Speaking quickly before we see the full idea. The idea of this film was to explain where this “ULTIMATE” villain has been all this time… outside of time.
How would you feel if Marvel had animated movies based on comics like Civil War Secret Wars, etc, do you think they would be on par with DC when it comes to animation ?
Considering how the quality of the What If episodes were, I seriously doubt it. And yes I did end up seeing 2-3 episodes of What If and they were very meh.
@@EricCarter12 I honestly do hope you like it. Most people say it’s the best one. It is easily one of the most serious MCU related content. There’s not a single joke in it and it’s played completely straight as a tragedy. I’m not entirely sure how you’ll feel about it when you see it but my fingers are crossed that you’ll declare it a winner.
As a HUGE fan of Kang the conqueror i admit i watched this movie for Kang and him alone i was too busy fanboing out seeing my favorite Marvel villain that it took a day after watching it in the theater, a couple RUclips videos (including this one) and comments to fully realize just how much they fucked Kang up as a villain even one of my work friends didn't understand why Kang was like this Me being a fanboy: Kang is threatening, you hear how he threatened M.O.D.O.K and Ant-Man daughter? My work friend: it makes no sense to threaten his own minion and how can he use time powers to put Ant-Man in a time loop of his daughter being killed if they are in the quantum realm? A place that exists outside of TIME and space Me being a fanboy: well darn, good point! But he's murdered a lot of people including the avengers My work friend: yes that's what is said, but what big name character he kill here that we see him kill instead of him saying he killed them? Me being a fanboy: well none but he is the most POWERFUL villain we have seen more powerful than Thanos My work friend: he got temporarily overwhelmed by ants and defeated by Ant-Man and Wasp.... They are joke characters! Me being a fanboy: "sighs" (accepts defeat) you right you right I was so mad about the ant comment because it was true i thought of a better way to do that scene i commented in another video i will post it here too
I've constantly thought of better ways to handle that scene For instance I'm sure you remember Kang forcing M.O.D.O.K against the wall and saying "do not speak when i am in the room" so in the ant swarm scene when M.O.D.O.K yells "MY NAME IS DARREN AND I AM NOT A DICK" Kang looks at him calmly and menacingly, not afraid and disgusted, stops Darren from disrupting his force field by taking over M.O.D.O.K, and start crushing him while calmly saying "What did i say about talking when I'm in the room" and then crush him inside his mechanical chair killing him! Then turns his full attention back to the ants summon 10 orbs out of his gauntlet that once launched will grow bigger while multiplying, says "I've had enough of this foolish resistance and causes his force field to burst outward, he throws the orbs up and they start doing their thing getting bigger and multiplying the ants start coming again Kang smiles and the orbs start rapid firing upon the ants! The ant numbers start declining fast and Kang hover while blasting as well That's how I would have done it
Interesting points apart from when you called the Kang Variants Stereotypes, I’m confused what you mean By that(Not trying to be antagonistic by the way, I’m just legitimately curious what you mean by that since I didn’t view any of them as stereotypes) Also your statement about The Violence that villains commit shouldn’t be censored, I agree with you about that for Kang in this movie but that rule can’t always be applied to every film for instance Christopher Nolan had to cut out a lot of his Batman Trilogy with Heath Ledger’s Joker, there were rejected scenes of him violently killing several Batman imposters but because of the MPAA, Nolan had to cut that out or heck the Original Script for the First Indiana Jones was a lot more violent and gory than the final film! But I do agree overall that Kang was wasted and if anything he should have been a cameo like Thanos was in Guardians
I was excited to see how they handle Kang. Well. I'm no longer excited after watching the movie. Not a good start to phase 5. I don't know much or who Jonathan Majors is but man people appear to praise him as the best actor in marvel now. Very confusing to me. Feel like I'm missing something. He had to great scene. The scene where he's threatening Antman and the harm he will do to his daughter. It was chilling and I believed him. Kang should've killed two or three characters and left Scott in the Quantum world to make him threatening. Kang was just underwhelming all around and I'm not excited for him as the main villain. They can turn it around. There's time but I don't have the same trust in Marvel movies as I once did.
The way I see it we can just ignore everything after Endgame if we choose to. It’s obvious at this point that they’re not gonna top the Infinity Saga so there’s honestly no point in investing more time to see more of the MCU if what’s been given since 2021 onwards hasn’t been good. The Infinity Saga is a great series of films that we can be happy with (even if Disney isn’t). It’s honestly best to just move on. It’s not like the future of comic book movies is dead. James Gunn’s DCU looks very promising and I say it’s time to let them have their day in the sun for the next decade.
What MCU should have done is have MODOK be the main villain of the movie with to plans one with be abviues with the other one being in a blink and you misses it and than revealing it in post credit scenes where Kang shows up with a villain from a previes show or movie and high evolutioner or some other villain that will appair in phase 5. And than having him bring MODOK back to life so the main villain of the multiverse saga were going to be Kang and main villains from movies and shows during it insted of diffrent versions of Kang
So in regards to good comic book related content, did you hear that Clancy Brown will be playing Sal Maroni in the Penguin show (likely being the main antagonist)?
A bit out of context but as a huge Transformers fan who has played the movie tie in games I find it so funny that you're using music from the games (Transformers: The Game 2007 and Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen The Game 2009) as a background music. Just wanted to point that out if no one else did.
Avengers Earth‘s mightiest heroes, Kang was better Than the MCU Kang he was powerful, and you understand his motivation and sympathetic, not the MCU version
Imagine Thanos was first introduced in Spiderman Homecoming and gets his whooped. What a terrible first impression. I am not looking forward to Kang Dynasty at all. I do not give a single fuck about a bunch of joke variants of the same character fighting the Avengers. It makes him look more like just a pest than an actual threat.
I was so disappointed with the line I don’t have to win we both just have to lose I also agree what you said about the Russo brothers as I’ve been telling my family
Not sure why anyone liked this movie. Kang was depowered at the end. Cassie was bad, not sure why the Wasp was in it. Not looking forward to any other MCU movies
The fact that the writers from both Quantumania, and Multiverse of Madness are writing the next two Avengers movies……. I give up on wanting to see either of them. The only exciting upcoming MCU movies are Deadpool 3 and hopefully Spider-Man 4. Truth be told I skipped 90% of Marvel’s phase 4 because it just doesn’t excite me like phases 1-3 did. Moon Knight was the only decent series IMO.
Kang could've had his presence built like Thanos, but he would in in every movie he appeared in. But no gotcha you thought this movie had a Civil War tone. I bet Marvel is gunna gang bang the Director of Everything all at once with (woke) "IDEAS".
I agree with your points. But to be fair, Thanos was also introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy before Infinity War and if you just took that movie alone, you would’ve considered Thanos a weak villain too. We didn’t really know why he wanted what he wanted. In the end credits of Avengers and into Guardians, he seemed to just want power. It wasn’t until the final movies of phase 3 that we learned his motives. So in Guardians, he was a “weak” villain too.
While the actor Johnathan Majors is great, the character is lacking Edit: also we both have the same agreement, the good part of the film is the brutal hand-to-hand combat finale with Ant-Man & Kang
Kang is human like the rest of us he gets his power from his suit the only reason he lost to the ant men family is cause his suit was damaged so of course he lost to people who had functioning suites
A:"how dare you? Thor the dark world is nowhere near in the same ballpark as love and thunder! B:"the reason Marvel isn't special anymore is simple! Can anyone answer me why so? I'll wait.

1. that's who kang is. is a psychopath and likes to lie to people thinking that he'll do good where in reality he isn't that's the point that's who he is. 2. the kang dynasty look fine. 3. yes i do understand why is kang in this, i actually agree with you on that but my only reason is becuase they needed to find kang. 4. modok was not good. 5. kang story might get explained in the avengers movies later on. 6. Kang might get stronger later on. 7. they could change kang from this because they changed the final battle in wanaka in black panther to infinity war so they were saving it. If they fix and save the story later on then i think we're good. kevin fiege should leave. marvel needs to get better writers for the avengers movies or marvel projects as a whole. Though i find kang is not as bad as malekith from the dark world. Also yes we really need the russo brothers back and i was actually intrested the original ending of that ant man was going to lose to kang like he was supposed to happen

I really don't have faith in phase five or six but on the other hand I am really excited for James Gunn dcu
Eric im a loyal fan but this video is honestly very poorly done and has such bad faith, i want to explain why and hopefully you can see why I think so, firstly I think this may be worded badly but you equated the Loki kang (he who remains) motivation of purging all timelines so his evil variants to quantamanias kang who just wanted to escape his exile and conquer, you say that kang is weak, which he is in this variant but even the weakest kang can build an empire and rule all without any of his conquerer technology so a whole council should be terrifying in concept, omni present beings with infinitely more power then the lone abandoned one who almost won. basically this is kangs first true appearance so going "thanos better" even though we haven't seen his story even remotely played to its full potential is odd, if you made a video about thanos first speaking appearance where he does nothing but yell at ronin and say he's bad then its like yeah he's not finished developing yet
Remember when there was a popular Internet theory about how Thanos would be defeated by antman crawling up his ass and then expanding.... I guess someone at Marvel saw this and assumed he was a fan favourite. I think the point at which I lost respect for kang is when he started trading punches with a bench warmer avenger
When you realize the Green Goblin did more in NWH with the short time he had on screen than Kang did in this movie.

It’s fine if Feige enjoys Rick Morty. It’s a completely different genre in every way. Feige should know this.
@@almightyloaf5434 Russos played a big part there
For a villain who can travel through time, crush people with telekinesis, blast people out of existence, and possess technology and weaponry centuries from the future, he got owned by the ant family???
Also another suggestion
Have Kang kill Cassandra I know it's gnarly but wouldn't you say it would make Kang instantly memorable as the first Marvel villain who killed a child on screen in full display as her loved ones watched?
Who cares he sucks no matter where he started.
I feel like this movie would have been fixed by antman dying or him in the wasp being stuck in the realm with Kang. The we just both have to lose line is so good and would have been a good set up for his death
Kang felt so out of place in the antman 3 movie its almost like he walked into a different movie entirely
I’d destroy the ant man franchise to show how powerful kangs army is
@@Us3r739 the movie definitely lacks stakes
In my personal opinion his motivation should have been he wants to CONQUER the multiverse so he can stop the chaos in the multiverse and stop people from ruining the timelines
Wont work since in loki they had him get killed cause he was bored of it lmao wouldnt make sense to have him go through the same steps again if we already know the ending of his ark(getting killed by sylph)
True but I was meaning so he could stop having people like spiderman and doctor strange from messing with the multiverse
And the loki's of course
That’s literally what his motivation was.
His name is kang the CONQUEROR for a reason lol that's his plan and motivation but it's stupid cause they already showed him getting beat by antman and killed by female loki lol
Edit
Mb I forgot I commented on this before lmao
Here are some things that should have happened
1.Kang should have been in a post credit for Dr.Strange 2
2.Kang should have killed the entire Antman family except Cassie Lang and Modok should have also died due to Kang
I think Hank Pym should've died. Michael Douglas said that he would be done with this character
Why post credits for dr strange 2
@@nathanthompson6720 Dr strange 2 was a multiverse movie that focused on the Marvel multiverse. Kang making an appearance would kickstart the whole Kang vs avengers storyline
The actor isn’t even imposing, he doesn’t look like a threat, he looks like a joke in fact. I laughed when he pretended to get angry and look tough.
Yeah Jonathan Majors certainly wrong choice for kang and he's not a good actor I don't know why people find him a great actor?
Chukwudi Iwuji, Keith David, Tony Todd, Mahershala Ali, and obviously Giancarlo Esposito would have been much better as Kang. Because those guys can actually act.
Tony:” if you’re nothing without that suit than you shouldn’t have it”
Me: Kang, if you’re not intimidating without that suit than you shouldn’t be a villain.
yeah without his tech at the end of the day he's just like a normal human guy. just look how easily his variant The One Who Remains was taken out at the end of loki they just stabbed him. he's not a space god, or an immortal demon or something he's just a guy with really advanced tech. they should have just made him the villain of Fantastic 4 or something i don't think Kang has ever been big bad material. he's strong but he's no Thanos or Doctor Doom or something
I’m also disappointed that Kang didn’t win.
2:39 You know a movie is Bad when Michael Bay is doing a better job than you.
if you want a good Kang and Modoc just watch the cartoon The Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heros
Thanks! Will do!
When did you officially get tired of the MCU, I’d say around 2017 or 2018.
Same
Same
Thanos is the result of sticking to one of the laws of marketing that MEN OF RENOWNED in the field of marketing understood for decades .
"SELL the SIZZLE not THE STEAK"
They teased Thanos to us for over 5 years, the human mind is a very strange place, if you allow the idea of a threat to fester and nurture in the mind, by the time the actual threat comes, we've already solidified that threat in its entirety. Thanos is not as epic as he SEEMS to be, but we bought the sizzle...
😥It's hard to encapsulate.
It's like how they say
," a slap hurts more when you know it's comming".
I really like the idea if Kang trying to kill Captain Amerucan because he felt it was the best option to save his world
@@Aerex12 EMH is fantastic to this day that cartoon has best Dr Doom in 2 episodes than whole fantastic 4 movies
Horrendous 3rd act (like The Batman) diminished Kang, seriously being defeated by ants, so dumb.
Great video as always Eric! Speaking of Jonathan Majors, are you looking forward to seeing him as the villain in Creed 3? I’ve heard that is actually quite sympathetic and a villain you can reason with. 😅😅 He blows Kang as a character out of the water already.
If you want to see a good portrayal of Kang the Conqueror. Go watch Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Honestly, I just love the representation in the movie. It's nice to see an evil psychopath like myself represented on screen, not those bad guys with a heart of gold or tragic past that every villain has now become.
The villian should have been villian more associated with the microverse. Maybe psychoman or someone like that.
?
Kang needs to come back in the next Avengers film and just fuck people up to show that when he’s at full power he can’t be stopped
The writer of Quantumania got fired. Let's see how someone else writes Kang...
7:03 that transition rivals the Spider-Man 2 transition
I haven't actually watched the movie yet (because I don't care about paying money for marvel films anymore) but I have seen so many responses to this film that I kinda do wanna check it out, when it comes out for free on Disney+ that is
The Scarlet Witch is a better villain than Kang but sadly they won't let Elizabeth feel her antagonist fantasy
Great video man. Btw what score do you give this movie or are you saving that for a versus video?
3:41
Noticed that you used the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen game menu soundtrack.
I think villain needs to be threatning. This is why Shao Kahn and All For One works.
Kang lost to ants so I wonder how will he ever be a threat
(SPOILERS)
10:42 sums up perfectly what this film's version of M.O.D.O.K.
FUCK. YOU!
That was a long one, so expect a big read.
that is not the strongest kang I heard comics a even more powerful kang is coming and stuff you said kang was injured during the fight
Kang should've been saved so he can be the main villian of the
2025 fantastic 4 reboot movie that wouldeve made more sense considering he was Thier villain in the comics atleast Rama tut Kang he never even was Ant-Mans villians in the comics
I loved the QUANTIMANIA title texts that you had in the video!
Imagine being so strong you conquer entire worlds, slaughter entire armies, end TIMELINES, and you still can't kill a bunch of ants.
@@EricCarter12 you didn’t see the Doctor Strange one?

I’m not entirely sure how you’ll feel about it when you see it but my fingers are crossed that you’ll declare it a winner.
10:41 I'd also say that this M.O.D.O.K looks like Pauly from Darkman.
On the subject of Jonathan Majors, do you plan on seeing Creed 3?
As a HUGE fan of Kang the conqueror i admit i watched this movie for Kang and him alone i was too busy fanboing out seeing my favorite Marvel villain that it took a day after watching it in the theater, a couple RUclips videos (including this one) and comments to fully realize just how much they fucked Kang up as a villain even one of my work friends didn't understand why Kang was like this
Me being a fanboy: Kang is threatening, you hear how he threatened M.O.D.O.K and Ant-Man daughter?
My work friend: it makes no sense to threaten his own minion and how can he use time powers to put Ant-Man in a time loop of his daughter being killed if they are in the quantum realm? A place that exists outside of TIME and space
Me being a fanboy: well darn, good point! But he's murdered a lot of people including the avengers
My work friend: yes that's what is said, but what big name character he kill here that we see him kill instead of him saying he killed them?
Me being a fanboy: well none but he is the most POWERFUL villain we have seen more powerful than Thanos
My work friend: he got temporarily overwhelmed by ants and defeated by Ant-Man and Wasp.... They are joke characters!
Me being a fanboy: "sighs" (accepts defeat) you right you right
I was so mad about the ant comment because it was true i thought of a better way to do that scene i commented in another video i will post it here too
I've constantly thought of better ways to handle that scene
For instance
I'm sure you remember Kang forcing M.O.D.O.K against the wall and saying "do not speak when i am in the room" so in the ant swarm scene when M.O.D.O.K yells "MY NAME IS DARREN AND I AM NOT A DICK" Kang looks at him calmly and menacingly, not afraid and disgusted, stops Darren from disrupting his force field by taking over M.O.D.O.K, and start crushing him while calmly saying "What did i say about talking when I'm in the room" and then crush him inside his mechanical chair killing him! The ant numbers start declining fast and Kang hover while blasting as well
That's how I would have done it
I don't agree that ant man is a joke, I mean Paul Rudd is a jokester but realistically ant man should be way stronger and not underestimated
@@jesuschrististheanswer4546 Hank Pym Ant-Man shouldn't be underestimated Scott is strong just not as smart and skilled as Hank
Exactly
What MCU should have done is have MODOK be the main villain of the movie with to plans one with be abviues with the other one being in a blink and you misses it and than revealing it in post credit scenes where Kang shows up with a villain from a previes show or movie and high evolutioner or some other villain that will appair in phase 5. And than having him bring MODOK back to life so the main villain of the multiverse saga were going to be Kang and main villains from movies and shows during it insted of diffrent versions of Kang
Oh and can we agree that kang getting scared a lot by a lot of ants was just so stupid am i right?
You are right. Especially with someone of his power set. What a wuss.
I do have to say that marvel should’ve focused more on ending the ant man trilogy than setting up the next avengers film
Avengers Earth‘s mightiest heroes, Kang was better Than the MCU Kang he was powerful, and you understand his motivation and sympathetic, not the MCU version
I think you should add so far since he still has time to rise imo
I had no idea about those writers. That sounds terrible. The next two Avengers Films are doomed.
This is why I decided to skip this movie. Marvel has declined in quality.
he really is. I meant he has already gotten beat up 3 times and has zero intimidation factor or any defined goals.
I was so disappointed with the line I don’t have to win we both just have to lose I also agree what you said about the Russo brothers as I’ve been telling my family
You know who else is a bad villain… The CWs red death
Please make a video about the flash season 9

0:37 and using a bad script is not a good idea either.
Not sure why anyone liked this movie. Kang was depowered at the end. Cassie was bad, not sure why the Wasp was in it. Not looking forward to any other MCU movies
@courtlinsellers-sd6sc I did, I think Marvel interfered and had it changed to what we got in theaters
Kang is overrated
UNDERrated. Y'all were asking for Doom.
While the actor Johnathan Majors is great, the character is lacking
Edit: also we both have the same agreement, the good part of the film is the brutal hand-to-hand combat finale with Ant-Man & Kang
They should’ve given him more screen time.. because if not, I hope this isn’t the last time we see his character
Kang is human like the rest of us he gets his power from his suit the only reason he lost to the ant men family is cause his suit was damaged so of course he lost to people who had functioning suites
He's defeated 1000s of ant men
He doesn't even remember him
Ez enough?

I think Russo brothers should be responsible to every mcu project
Ita funny how kang and Gorr are basically the same level of danger😂😂😂 gorr was just more horrifying they feel the same and there both at the same throw away level
Not only the Russos, they need Markus and McFeeley back.
They wrote the most iconic Marvel movies, but I think all four of them know better than to tie themselves to this creatively bankrupt steaming dung heap.
1. that's who kang is. is a psychopath and likes to lie to people thinking that he'll do good where in reality he isn't that's the point that's who he is. 2. the kang dynasty look fine. 3. yes i do understand why is kang in this, i actually agree with you on that but my only reason is becuase they needed to find kang. 4. modok was not good. 5. kang story might get explained in the avengers movies later on.

Love your videos 💕
Forget onscreen flaws .... I'm still laughing at the casting
Out of curiosity, who would you say is the second best director of an MCU film after the Russo Brothers?
I would say Jon Favreau for the first Ironman. Not counting the second, but that was technically the studios fault for interfering.
Even Kangs robot minions are incompetent and give off stormtrooper vibes.
THANOS AND LOKI are Tier 1 villains, The Guardians villians are tier 2, Kang is forgettable tier 3 Kang, yellow jacket, claw,😂😂
