0:52 Allis Chalmers Roto baler, the fore runner of the modern day round baler. These were the days when farming was farming, very very happy times. Hard work yes but none of the modern day stress
I remember as a small boy watching the local farmers , I suppose I'd have been roughly the age of the young lad in the early 60s . Worth their weight in gold these old films for the memories they provoke . 👍
Absolutely brilliant I am not a farmer but lived near by many on the outskirts of the town where I lived I loved getting on my bike to go and watch the combine harvesterharvester harvesters thanks for talking me back to a great time. 😀👍
Bit before my time but similar to how I grew up late 70s and 80s. Still had some of that gear then with a few newer ones as well. Love the six wheeler bogie
Great to see footage like this. Grew up on a farm myself at about the same time, so all familar scenes. When Massey Ferguson were top of the tree. Went on to repair Massey tractors and combines during my working life, looks like the 20 baler is being 'giving the beans'. Jealous of the 6 wheel trolley @ 6:06 , must have had 2 old prams, only had 4 wheels on mine.
first combine i drove was one like those in early 70s ,it was a converted massy harris bagger to tanker which my father bought in mid 50s for his crops and some contracting
Great Memories Wouldn`t be Good to go Back to Those Times in so Many Ways.

Great video,I was probably as old as the small boy when I remember scenes like this. Very very happy times. When farming was hard work but rewarding

Lovely to see some classics from the 60's. Thank you.
Reminds me as a small boy on my Granddad’s farm late 50s and 60s. Heaven 👏😊
Great video with a fantastic array of red machinery. Brought back a lot of fond memories growing up and school holidays and nostalgia.
Thank you very much for sharing your video really enjoyed it 👍

Nice to see allis chalmers roto bailed in action
Nice
Having to push the clutch pedal down and stop everytime the baler makes a bale must of shortened the life of the clutch.
And your knee
