A nice view of the 60s, the trucks are kept clean and the beet factory was a busy place. Nice to see dad taking his girls to work.

Beet sugar factories are very busy for a few weeks of the year (harvesting time of the sugar beets). During this time they manufacture the whole yearly production of sugar. For the rest of the year they are shut down, maintained and prepared for the next "sugar beet campaign".

By the vehicles I'd say very early sixties, poss. late 50's. When life was still relatively innocent and we only had ourselves in the country.

We only had ourselves in the country?, we get your drift as nasty as it is…Just to enlighten you a little Britain had a diminishing empire you know the one the sun never set on , thankfully it collapsed like all empires do mostly because the countries colonised resented the colonisers thieving the wealth of the their nation…

Blooming heck did you notice the size of the mirrors on the Bedford at 52 seconds. Dark wet mornings in winter must have been a joy 🙄

Would there be any possibility of finding more footage from these recordings? I’m looking specifically for more footage of the man next to the ‘OUT’ sign around 3:17
