The trick is to shout the name of a different attack to the one you are using, preferably say the name of a long charge up move while you do something faster, so you can hit them in the middle of their internal monologue, or in the case of an opponent who has seen this video, hit them in the back as they calmly walk away.
Another alternative: Play the anime's opening theme(or that one song that plays when the hero is going to win) so that there is no you can lose... unless if you're up against Aizen from Bleach.
Can't wait for a guide on proper bracing for impact and landing techniques against trucks, to me it sounds like a really important topic, given the rise of isekai over the last years, but sadly there is a severe lack of information regarding those topics.

I love how he uncharges to call the target pathetic and weak only to recharge in an instant. It's like he was doing the slow charge just to give the poor guy false hope

Counter point, Cheap Spam followed by a speedy retreat. something I like to call "Dropping the Ball" this is based in the idea that Most Charge up attacks tend to explode if suddenly disturbed during the build up phase. If the attacker "drops the Ball" during this delicate phase, the explosion may be enough to cover your escape and plan your next move.
I never last long in these situations. Not because I get hit but because I get too excited and let off my “Anime Charge Up Attack” too soon, usually to the disappointment of my “opponent”.

A malfunction in the Exedellius Fortana System caused a universal rift and joined their two worlds and saw the dawn of a joint reign of terror between the Brotherhood of the Nexus Daybreak Cycle and the Society Involving Notsogood Stuff, a regime which the two ASSes banded together to fight against. It's my favorite anime crossover of all time.
Another good tip is to avoid boys with spiky colorful hair. It’s the same reason why you avoid colorful snakes and spiders because they have a lot of stored power.
