What I say when I make a shot like that is: "I don't show that shot to too many people."

I'm struggling to imagine a scenario where this would be useful. Why can't you just aim to bank the 8 into the corner normally? Doing so would not double kiss

At that point, from that position you'd have to bank that ball fairly thin to get the bank into the ball park of going in the corner. The weight to hang it there if your off would also be hard to judge. Not to mention your cue ball would go flying around the table and who knows where it might stop. The advantages of this shot are :
      It's easy to learn.
The weight and final position are easy to control
The cue ball doesn't fly around after the contact and usually stays on the opposite end of the table.
It's worth setting up and checking out if you haven't yet. 👍 Thanks for watching.

@@HereAfterBilliards Makes perfect sense, thanks for the response! I rarely get to practice but i enjoy learning about the physics and strategy of the game

@@Ben_Chillin That's awesome! Never stop learning. If a player says they HAVE stopped and they know everything...give them the stink eye🤨 LOL. As CJ always says..."The game is the teacher!"

@@HereAfterBilliards i like the double-kiss bank shot better because you certainly don't want your cue ball flying all over the table with so many opponents balls laying around waiting to kiss that cue ball into a pocket, resulting in a loss. i think the percentage of making the 8 ball is probably the same with this or the regular thin bank to the corner but the risk is way lower on the double-kiss version. not to mention the possibility of blocking one of their balls. just my two cents...
