You're very welcome! I'm so glad you love this album. ^_^ Just in case you missed them, perhaps check out this remix album from Sonic Paradox and another album from John Weeks and myself? :) Project 20 - A Sonic Paradox Remix Collection ruclips.net/video/9lpdKlCeYBw/видео.html 8-Bit Sonic 2: Piano Redux ruclips.net/video/khCC1vsk7s4/видео.html
@ً Oddly enough, I was working on such a project, several years ago. Here is an incomplete, work-in-progress version of John Weeks' and my Genesis / Mega Drive Sonic 2 album. Just be aware: quite a few tracks really needed more polishing. ^_^; Maybe, one of these days, I'll be able to get back into music production. At any rate, enjoy. :) soundcloud.com/drmackfoxx/sets/sonic-2-1992-sega-genesis
Well, if you played and enjoyed the Sega Master System or Game Gear version of Sonic 2, perhaps check out this other album from John Weeks and I, here on Sonic Paradox? ^_^ 8-Bit Sonic 2: Piano Redux ruclips.net/video/khCC1vsk7s4/видео.html
I, for one, love the fan-made projects we keep getting. Always fun to be a part of these major projects, as well. After all, I am the voice of Dr. Eggman, assistant writer and the lead video editor for Seaside Denied and Metropolis Mayhem, among other things. :) Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed John Weeks' and my 1st album. ^_^
@@DrMackFoxx You’re very welcome. Thanks for providing such quality music over the years. I truly appreciate it. Do you plan on covering any more albums in the future?
@@TheWingsofValmar Ah! ^_^ First off, just in case you missed it, here is John Weeks' and my remix album for the Sega Master System / Game Gear edition of Sonic 2! 8-Bit Sonic 2: Piano Redux ruclips.net/video/khCC1vsk7s4/видео.html Honestly, the positive reception of this, as well as John Weeks' and my 8-Bit Sonic 2 album, is proving to be convincing enough for me to take up music again and at least complete an 8-Bit Sonic 1 album I started work on with John Weeks several years ago. The only major hurdle is getting a bunch of really old programs to work in some manner on Windows 10. Not a small challenge, since these old programs will not work on any operating system beyond Windows XP. I've seen a few suggestions to try using a Windows XP virtual machine, so I've been looking into that. Wish me luck. ^_^
@@DrMackFoxx Thanks for the update! I also happen to have your Sonic 2 cover album. I’ve also been listening to it, since 2014. My favorite track from your Sonic 2 album is Crystal Egg Zone. My favorite track from your Sonic 1 album is Scrap Brain Zone. I really hope you’re able to get back into music production. This would mean so much to me and many others. I’ll support you regardless, so there’s no pressure. Just go with the flow with what you feel is right. You’ve got this, my friend! :+)
Well, if you happened to enjoy the Sega Master System / Game Gear version of Sonic 2, John Weeks and I did put together an album for that game. ^_^ 8-Bit Sonic 2: Piano Redux ruclips.net/video/khCC1vsk7s4/видео.html As for future albums for the Sega Genesis games, those could very well be on the menu at some point. I suspect you quite enjoyed this collaboration. Thank you for the feedback! :)
I am considering that. The only thing standing in my way is getting some really old music software to work on Windows 10. The most recent operating system nearly all of my old programs will work on at all is Windows XP. ^_^; At any rate, thanks for the comment. :)
@@DrMackFoxx I wish you nothing but the best of luck with all that, your covers are stellar. If there's any way I can support I'd be more than happy to!
Greetings! Sadly, a FLAC version is not possible at this time. First, the original WAV files I rendered out for this album are long gone. This project is over 10 years old, after all. ^_^; There is no point or reason to render a lossy format like MP3 into a lossless format, such as FLAC. Second, I used some very old programs to create this album: none of which can be installed on Windows 10, since the most recent operating system they can function on at all is Windows XP. I was able to get by for a while with Windows XP Mode, which was optional with the Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate Editions. However, with Windows 7 not compatible with my newer computer hardware, I was forced to move on to Windows 10. However, when I did put this album together all those years ago, I did a lot of research and experimenting to ensure the MP3s were of high quality: much more fidelity than you will get through this RUclips video. Hopefully, that will suffice, since this project is over a decade old at this point. The MP3 format is still heavily-supported across many an operating system and many a mobile device: it has definitely stood the test of time. When encoded well, this format can still deliver audio quality that most, by far, will find to be well beyond acceptable. Now, if there were some way to get my old music programs to work again and there was enough demand for it, I would consider going back to this project to render out a FLAC version. Unfortunately, that is just not at all possible at this time. I hope this thoroughly answers your question. :) If you have more questions, feel free to ask. ^_^
@@DrMackFoxx Hey, I truly appreciate the response! It sounds like you know about audio, and that's good to hear! First, I'd like to mention that MP3 may be well-supported, however it truly is a format of the past. Better quality can be had at lower bitrate and thus lower filesizes with AAC, OGG and especially Opus (which youtube happens to use as well as discord). With that said, though, I didn't realize this was from 10 years ago, which makes a lot more sense now haha. Second, you can very easily install a Windows XP virtual machine on any computer you have. There are dozens of virtual machine programs that you can use, such as vmware, virtualbox, etc. You can then render your projects out in the virtual machine. If you'd like, you can send me the project files and I can render them in WAV > FLAC for you. Please respond with your Discord if you're interested, and I'd be happy to chat with you in real time and provide you with any assistance you need if you choose to install the VM yourself. :)
