I remember reading Of Mice and Men in the 6th grade and when we got to the part about the vaseline glove, the teacher tried her hardest to deny that Curly keeping his hand 'soft for his wife' had anything to do with finger blasting.

I was assigned the role of George and I started laughing when I was on the stand because of the questions the prosecution team was asking me and the fact that my defense team wasn't objecting or doing anything. I got convicted of murder and sentenced to the electric chair.

He couldn't control himself. Eventually it'd be a child. And we're talking about a time without video cameras or fingerprints or DNA or anything, which means he could very easily get away with murder after murder. In fact, he likely had murdered dozens of people throughout his life. The mouse, puppy and woman, couldn't have been the first.
