QOTD: my favorite part of building naturalistic/bioactive enclosures for my herps has to be the psychological aspect that follows moving them in. It's so exciting and rewarding to see your animals utilize their new homes, and even more so, the confidence boost that you get from providing such awesome homes for your animals is amazing. It's just extra rewarding to be able to provide excellent enclosures to them, so that's an amazing part of it.
My favorite part of building a bioactive enclosure is the difference from start to finish, just the natural beauty of the plants working together to bring everything together, it’s literally living art. Great video today dayyan love the upgrades🤙🏽❤️
I love making something that brings the beauty, complexity, and functionality of a natural ecosystem into my home in a way that both helps my pets live happier, healthier lives as well as makes my living space more beautiful.
To answer the question, so many things. What isn’t there to love about bio active?? I love keeping and growing all sorts of plants so obviously those two things go hand in hand not to mention keeping and caring for all sorts of animals ❤😂 I starting building my first natural background for a paladarium I’m setting up for my red eye tree frogs, seeing them in their most natural environment, or as best as I can make it, you truly get the most out of your animals. Lastly, I used to be really into insects and isopods as a kid, so getting back into isopods is bringing me back to my youth! Also helping me get over my fear of bugs that I developed 😂
I just got a mangrove snake for my birthday and I’m hoping that I can make a nice vivarium two houses it’s a baby now so I have to keep it and you know it which name of a small thing but later on in life, I’m hoping to learn how to do a vivarium and I love your videos they’re very good videos keep them common
To me, a natural, bio active enclose just looks so much better! I'm hoping to go full bio active with my tokay this summer and start planning to go bio with my Apalachicola King soon after.
Just wondering Ik maybe it's hard to find large enclosures or it's expensive But i feel like maybe you should save money to build your own enclosure that's much larger to allow them to feel like they are truly in their natural habitat
Thank you very much! I appreciate your support! Personally, I wouldn't recommend them as beginner snakes due to their finicky start as babies (not wanting to eat anything but live fish). If you get your hands on a juvenile they aren't too bad. You just have to keep them and their water very clean because they like to poop in it and it quickly leads to scale infections. They need cooker temps which is pretty easy and cost-effective.
Personally, I don't think so but regardless, its a bit of musical tanks! They have a very large build in the works for them to move into as adults and I will likely moving them into 18x18x24's before that too haha.

It’s incredible to see how much effort and care you put into every animal. I don’t know how you do it!!
Thank you so much! They are my pet family! I do my very best!

Agreed! Thank you for watching!
Love your builds. Especially for such unique species
I love the little horn such a unique animal. Wish I could own a snake but I could never provide the habitat and love it needs.
Love your builds! Wish we could have a snake but my husband says no 😅
Thank you! Maybe one day!
QOTD: I love creating little hidey holes for them and imagining where they will hang out.❤
Good job on the builds for the rhinoceros rat snakes. Have a good weekend see you in the next video.

Go for it! You'll be so happy you did! It's not the best for every individual animal but for most it unlocks a whole new experience of keeping!

Are you going to do a vid on setting up all the animals from last reptile expo like the Bynoes geckos?
You'll get to see them in their temp setup on Friday! I am making their final terrarium next week!
Great video
Thank you!
New here! What are those packets that you put into all of the enclosures? I’m assuming they are beneficial mites, and if so, do you find they work??
Welcome! Those are thripex mites. Essentially they are biological pest control that help remove plant pests but don't harm my animals.
love the content reptiliatus keep up the amazing work, would you recommend these snakes to a beginner?

First! ❤ and what is your #1 favortie speices?
Wahoo! Thanks for watching! Too hard to say but I really love green tree monitor lizards!
Hi what do you think about Leeches. I know slightly venomous has some. Have you ever thought about keeping some.
I don't think I'd ever want to own leeches haha. They are neat animals but aren't for me!
Yeah LOL 😂 after looking at her video it is not something I would want either. But super cool animals.
@@Beau-o6r sure!
Aren't those enclosures a wee bit small for them as well??
Personally, I don't think so but regardless, its a bit of musical tanks! They have a very large build in the works for them to move into as adults and I will likely moving them into 18x18x24's before that too haha.
May I ask, what is what looks like a door hanger in each terrarium?
Perhaps you are thinking of the vines in the terrarium? :)
It looks like a square, maybe 2"× 4", piece of paper. Green and white. With a hole at the top.
For my white eyed crocodile skink it is currently burrowing under its hides is this normal or should I do something about it?
Very normal! They like to hide a lot! :)
@@Reptiliatus ok thank you very much
5:45 what is this animal called?
Pinocchio? Little on the nose, isn't it?
haha
