Aww yay! My sister and I did comp cheer as teens in Dallas! I miss those days so much! Don't miss inhaling all the spray glitter and hairspray though 😂 It's wild to see the changes- like we had to wear a HIGH ponytail with tight ringlets curlers for the day before and sleep in it lol We did nationals twice and it was amazing! When my crazy aunt won nationals, she broke her ankle in the first tumbling pass and finished the routine 😱 Regardless of getting a bid, have fun and be SO proud Annica of how much hard work and dedication this sport takes! Y'all did so great! Can't wait to see the whole routine 😍

My granddaughter is in competitive cheer. They won 1st at Universal Studios last May. There is no way that she would dream of changing shoes in the middle of a season. She won’t wash them either. She doesn’t want to jinx the mojo. Plus she eats cheesecake after every win. She’s 13 and has been competing since she was 5. Good luck. I hope you win a bid!

Competition cheer is sooo fun. The day of competition I was always a nervous reck going over the routines 50 times in my head. But congratulations 3rd is still good! Hope you make it to nationals !
Annica I was a cheerleader for 8 years. There was times where I hated it and loved it. Times where I would want to quit. But I can genuinely say it was where I had the most fun in life. From doing allstar cheer, middle school cheer, and rec cheer I had so many different experiences. It gave me so many different opportunities to travel and meet new people. Unfortunately due to covid last year I was not able to experience my last year of cheering with my city team as I have graduated high school. Everyday I think about cheer because it played a big part of my life. I miss practices. I miss games. I miss competitions. I definitely didn't take advantage of the time I had while I was cheering. Please Annica enjoy it while you can because one day you'll look back and never get to experience it ever again. xoxo
