That tool job on the leather is solid. Clean lines, no errant strikes, and the stain took perfectly. Clearly a leatherworker who has done this for ages. I hope you're planning to get a matching strap.
You know, something ALWAYS goes wrong, no matter how well you prepare with these projects. Thanks for showing at least three "hiccups" and how you addressed them. Very real and encouraging for those of us who may try this kind of build someday. As a side note, the weathered silver-colored tone and volume knobs match the rest of the hardware better than those admittedly very cool polished brass ones that came with the leatherwork. Just my opinion. Great playing at the end too. Thanks for sharing!!
Dude not only do we get to hear a new song, but we get to see you build a guitar. Awesome Justin, just awesome. As someone who is learning slide guitar, and loves building things, this is just what I needed.
That is a nice looking guitar and sounds great in your expert hands. The leather work is something new to me and works really well with the natural wood. :-)
Oh man, tooled leather and a pine body. What a dream tele! Congrat's, looks like a keeper. Can't wait to see how she looks after a year or two of touring battle scars!
I saw the screenshot for this video and thought, wow that looks like Justin Johnson's guitar...surprise! I didnt even know this channel existed until now!
The only thing I would change about this are the tuners. It´s a personal preference but I just like the Klunson style tuners. They would go perfectly with the vintage vibe and changing strings is just so much more comfortable. They also have locking tuners.
Every guitarist should have a go at assembling their own tele at some point. For all the craftsmanship and bling that can be applied, at their heart guitars are tools. Doing a build, or customisation, gives you an appreciation of that
My guitar/gun/wood/leather shop looks like a grenade went off in it, But if it was clean and organized, I’d never be able to find anything!!! That is one SEXY tele!
One Awesome looking axe! I think the aged chrome looks better than the brass. They match the the rest of the hardware. The roasted neck is a perfect fit with the body. Very tastefully done.
👁️✨👁️ aloha OMG Justin: "I put this baby (read "family heirloom") together in about 2 hrs" Me: in 2 hrs each (not counting cleanup) dehydrater seed crackers prep; strawberry rhubarb crumble; fermenting prep Jun, Kombucha, & Water Kefir; dang dude !!!
Me too...i thought it was JJ's gift to us to try learn some of his covers...and to buy the others if we want more....very sad...i came here every now and then to exercise on them
Dude that tele is gorgeous. It’s got a growl to it that hits that sweet spot in the soul.

Random thought. I just love all the jewelry. Turquoise always reminds me of the native great grandmother. 👍 🪶
Hello Justin Johnson, you do understand "the guitar." Really great job and it sounds great and looks like it feels good to play.
Woow, i would like to have a Tele or Jazzmaster like this, looks amazing 😍

Looks amazing and sounds great Justin!
Put ur two e tuners on, string those two loosely then center those down the neck ends. Then screw down ur bridge.
great sound, love the guitar
Looks better without the brass knobs. Great sound!
My guitar/gun/wood/leather shop looks like a grenade went off in it,
But if it was clean and organized,
I’d never be able to find anything!!!

Great Job, but this Telecaster deserved the American Roasted Vintage Tele Neck!
4-way switch rules!
wait now, I think I may have missed something here, Mr. JJ you & your brother
sheesh

Beautiful Justin 😍 👍🏻
Great work, beautiful 🤘🤘
That's a bitchin guitar. Love the wood and leather work.
Gorgeous🙋♀️💕
Sweet
Something about a telecaster… I’ve got a sweet G&L. It’s what I reach for about 80% of the time.
Justin... is that bridge available or was it custom made? Where can you get one?? The stamped steel ones are SO chintz and cheap!! Thanks!
Awesome job, I wonder if a person can get the leather pattern like Waylon’s ? In the same colour
Wow...:D!

Cool
Justin dall'Italia ciaoneee
Sounds like you figured it out. Did you do the setup or did you have a luthier do it?
Looks awesome. How much does a build like this typically cost?
What amp and any pedals were used? Did I miss it?
Why did you delete all the videos from this channel ?
I was working on them ! i'm so sad :(
Me too...i thought it was JJ's gift to us to try learn some of his covers...and to buy the others if we want more....very sad...i came here every now and then to exercise on them
Bummer the brass knobs didn't fit, but it still looks fantastic
Nicest Tele I've ever seen
O man she's a beaut. For sale? Gatemouth brown said all pick guards should be leather
Is the leather glued onto the wood?
That kind of bridge is only made by bybodzi?
so creepy, man im doing something in this ballpark as we speak. great stuff thank you.
Thank you I thought it was leather very interesting
What radius is the neck?
❤️
ayo how do you get the tone on the amp i need it
Would love to know cost..
Maan, where's the other videos gone?
Beautiful guitar. I like the aged steel knobs better than the brass. Sounds amazing. Fantastic job!
How much did this cost roughly?
Does it bother you if the body of the guitar is symmetrical and the head stock isn't? Drives me nuts.
