I’m actually planning a podcast on the difference on baitcasters and spinning reels and which ones are better at certain types of fishing. I prefer baitcasters for lgmouth bass
Hey dude just wanted to say this video popped up on my feed and I said “screw it ill check it out” and good job with the content, editing, commentary etc. keep it up!
just ordered a proficiency krazy 3 baitcaster combo my first bait caster, watched a couple vids on how to set it up practiced casting so I got the feel of it and to not backlash, what do you recommend when your hooking them and is it different from a spinning reel in any way?
also how did you do your settings I have my breaks on about 6 or 7 and tried tuning it to where the lure falls slowly but im still new to all this mine was casting good tho
The biggest thing I’ve noticed is hooksets feel a little different and if you saw in the video I had my drag too low which also made it harder to hook fish.
I think it would help you a lot if you tighten your drag pretty much every time you set the hook your drag slipped like crazy so you couldn’t really set the hook very well
@@Wall_Reel yea... i said that before it did but actually good job for 1st time w baitcaster, tip for setting hooks, if its like texas or frog just set the hook like your tryna pull its head off. Treble u can just ligt hookset as long as sharp hooks
Which do you prefer more? Spinning or Baitcaster reels

slowly learning how to use a bait caster
@@Atyiq_it takes a lot of time and practice to master.
I’d recommend a shimano slx,slx xt, or slx dc
Baitcasters are definitely a big difference. I highly recommend Abu Garcia baitcast rod and reels.
Ya I understand why there’s a lot of hype around them now
Eh they don’t make ‘em like they used to… I’d say shimano and daiwa are on top
I got an Abu Garcia Vengeance and the line guide insert came out lol
I’ve never had any problems with mine.
this video was such a realistic kind of video.. like whst happens everytime someone goes out to fish XD
Yoo remember me when ur channel blows up also I love this vid I was thinking of getting the same combo
Haha I will bro! It’s a great combo I’d highly recommend it

Comgrats on stepping your game up homie!
Thank man! It was long overdue 😅
had some nice action to test it out!👊👍
Yessir! I’m hoping to get some bigger ones though
keep up the good work and keep making this videos i love em

@@Jordan-tj6sx That’s exactly where I set everything for mine and it works great
cool video man, love watching it, how'd this rod hold up?
Thanks man glad you enjoyed! The combo is my favorite one I own. It's always with me when I go fishing.
@@Wall_Reel Been thinking about picking one up for kokanee
@@dramsanddecibels Highly recommend!
Don’t get discouraged by backlashes it happens to even the best of pros
Super entertaining video bro 😃
Thanks man!
@Wall_Reel no worries bro! Had to send you a sub too of course 😉👍
I think it would help you a lot if you tighten your drag pretty much every time you set the hook your drag slipped like crazy so you couldn’t really set the hook very well
That’s true it was pretty lose. Thanks for the advice!
My guy, I've been using baitcasters for years and there's still always a few backlashes.
I’ve gotten better but can confirm there will always be backlashes haha
@Wall_Reel it's inevitable. You just get more efficient at dealing with them, and they happen a lot less.
It took me 5 spools of line to use a baitcaster
Ya I got pretty lucky never having to cut my line 😅 I guess I’m a natural
Remember to tighten your drag so it doesn’t backlash when you cast. Also make sure to never cast into the wind.
Nice video man about to get myself the same setup from abu lol
You won’t regret it! Great combo!!
you gotta use both hands when setting the hook it's not like a spinning rod look how the pros do it.
Ya I learned that the hard way 😅
Hi Braeden!
@@FH_18UNK Who’s this Braeden guy you speak of?
@@Wall_Reel Idk… but he’s terrible at snare 😂 jk
you should try and learn how to skip like to go under trees its easier with a baitcaster i think
That's definitely true. I'll have to start trying to learn. Thanks for watching
it is in fact not easier, baitcasters arent easier they are more efficient, they are faster not easier to use
It’s tricky to learn but when you put time into it you’ll be profesh 😎
I JUST GOT THE SAME 1 G
You'll love it. It's a GREAT combo!
Waitvtill he backlashes and his lure goes 5 miles away
Oh it already happened

@@tanjirokamado1733 Thanks for the advice man! Hopefully I’ll lose less lures in the future 😅
