Doesn’t sound like he ever praises anyone for doing something good. I mean he’s excited but he won’t express it to them individually like he does when someone fucks up.
As a keyboard warrior I would like to say Kelley’s true talent will show at a school like Sheridan. PA is a school that continues to be competitive and win state chamionships in multiple sports including football even after Kelley left. The onside kicks, 2pt conversions, and 4th down plays only go as far as the talent you have on the team. PA is a tuition based private high school that pulls kids from all over Little Rock. They will likely always be a top team with whatever coach they bring in.
It’s always so funny to me when it’s cuts from a coach just screaming at the top of his lungs to him immediately leading a prayer. Religion is a wild thing.
Coach kelley is trying to re-invent the wheel with a stationary QB. That might work for a few games in high school but what about college? Does Coach kelley think about the future of his players? I wouldnt waste a second scouting a QB who doesnt move his feet reguardless of stats.
@@shanewoods1980 except he isnt accurate most of the time, watch all the videos and see how many picks he throws. Im guessing its because he doesnt step into the throws and use his feet
I think the quiet feet on the QB is a pretty unique and innovative idea. Not sure if it’s worth it from a cost/benefit standpoint… it probably depends on roster construction and the QB’s skillset. But I’d trust Kelley to know what he is doing there. Just because he’s heterodox that doesn’t mean he’s wrong.
Here is my issue with this crap. You can clearly see the QB isn’t comfortable doing that or his throws wouldn’t be “high” all the time. He can drop it deep because he has an arm. But the truth is that a college is going to pass him by because of this nonsense. A good coach would want to prepare his kids for the next level. This guys isn’t doing that, he is just trophy hunting and using these kids as bait.
I agree with Coach Kelly on the QB'ing stuff. It's also important to not move your feet too much if you don't have to because your head will bob up and down too much and it makes it more difficult to throw the ball with accuracy. Same with pitching a baseball. And so many throws I've seen from his team the QB didn't have any pressure to worry about. Why move your feet if you don't have to. Imagine being at a carnival and doing one of those games where you're throwing a football thru a tire and you're 'buzzing' your feet. It makes no sense.
Coach if that qb gets sacked, that’s on you, you have him on his heels, he can’t get away from anyone like that. But hey your way, just don’t get mad at the qb if he gets sacked, that’s on u my friend. But with all that being said, your offensive line kicked ass and your qb made awesome decisions even though you yell at him constantly lol keep up the good work
If he doesn't have his heels on the ground and is loaded on his toes acceleration will work just the same. The coach explains that in the video that he should be on the ball of his foot, not his heels.
I mean it works for him in high school. If you want to see if it is optimal, look at his record at Presbyterian. Good on the QB for just listening to the coach and being coachable
The play they ran @11:25 was pretty slick. QB is still slow. I dont mean he runs slow or whatever they were babbling about people on the internet were saying, I mean he is just slow in all of his movements. The game it moving at the speed its moving at and he is slower than that. He seems to have a good understanding of what's going and he can throw it pretty good; he'll make a decent D2 QB somewhere. I wish I understood more about how the classifications work in Arky, my goodness, a school with barely a thousand kids is 6A?
I played for a coach in Smithville Ms, his name was Dwight Bowling. The field was named after him and he was a “god like” figure in that small town. He was hard on the players there’s no doubt, but even though parents and people adored him he had a dark side. He was arrested and found transporting under age boys across state lines for his pleasure.

Especially with his size.

I couldn’t play for a guy like this. Zero emotional regulation, as whiny as they come, constant tantrums on the sidelines. But he won championships playing mid level ball at PA so I guess he “knows what he’s talking about”.
I dont think his coaching style is working very good, just look at the morale of the players BEFORE the game even started, he put them all down and they all ran out of that tunnel looking morally defeated. You are supposed to be a hard coach that MOTIVATES, those kids arent motivated to do anything, they are strictly running off of fear of the coach.
