Anyone else notice how little the QB moves in the pocket, he stares at one side of the field. If im a db i feel as if i know where the ball is 100% going or the play is ruined.
That’s how the coach teaches what to do at least to have little movement in the pocket maybe not the other stuff it’s weird but he says it in the other overtime video
Its not a bad thing if they are not bringing pressure. So he is doing it right on the plays they show. HOwever, I want to see what he does under pressure.
Love this coach and his attitude towards the game and helping the kids! Reminds of of Coach Saban getting mad when you’re doing things right haha! Hoping y’all turn the program around.
I think they practice for the qb to not move much so he doesn’t get happy feet or make mistakes trying to get a good throw off and planting is feet. Idk even though i live here but it’s just a suggestion and if the qb don’t know what he’s doing look at those numbers on the scoreboard😅😅
If my team had to play schools with scholarship players when my school did not, then I wouldn’t want to talk about it either. He alluded to older, likely his former college team, players thinking they know everything versus high school kids in the video as well.
@@jaked9597 It is, but if I remember right he thought the school would offer scholarships when he took the job. Without some scholarships the team is just a high level recreational team playing against collegiate teams. Idk how that would ever be a recipe for success or even mediocrity.
"If he doesn't throw it right away, you've got to work and get open", advised the coach. A little more than half the time, the planned routes don't result in someone getting open in the first 3 to 6 seconds, so it definitely makes sense at that time to perhaps deviate from plan a little bit (or even a lot) in order find a way to get open, rather than just mostly stand there at the end of the planned route, and rather than mechanically continue a planned route into a part of the field where a safety (or less often a cornerback) is "playing centerfield" and you are going to be the only receiver there against someone who is a little bit faster than you. The longer a quarterback is back there, the more sense it makes to just get open, rather than sticking to a plan that just isn't working out on the particular defensive coverage in effect on a particular play. Short version: The receivers should almost always stick to the plan in the intial part of the play, but as the quarterback is standing back there longer and longer becoming more and more like a potential victim to a sack, the receivers should be more and more willing deviate from the plan if that's what it takes to get open.
Dear @Overtime SZN, Please follow this team all year. This should be a series. OR: Do more of these episodes that follow HS Football teams seeking redemption.
I hope that QB can read a book because he sure can't read a defense lol. My dude standing firmer than the Statue of LIberty and he burns a hole through one guy with his eyes. He is a DBs dream come true.
@ScootsMcPoot eh, statistically they perform much better than their record. He literally loses the games for them by going for it on 4th and via overutilization of onside kicks. He is a degenerate gambler lol.
Lol, they are currently 2-5 and lost a game by 50+ points. They are pretty bad. The QB has a 58% completion percentage and 22 TDs to 12 INTs, they just turn over the ball on downs too often. This coach is effectively ruining their odds.

As much as he yells he doesn’t cuss 👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Real coaching! I don’t mind the cursing but some coaches take out their personal lives on the kids and play it off as tough love.
I thought he wasn't cussing cause he not tryna get bleeped out on camera 😂
Meh when he says “freaking“ instead of the actual F word is any different? It just subbing the actual F word for a more socially acceptable one.
