@ wdym should have had? Unless the refs gave the ball to the other team in a dogpile then no they just didn’t execute correctly it worked at the prep school bc his kicker was elite at them hasn’t worked anywhere else though
No judgement, new squad and building a program. Went further then I thought from the beginning so chin up. Next year's team, you see a running back that straight up, get some ribs, properly. Do work boyz!
That QB just stares down his receiver every single time.. can't believe he isn't picked off on every play. Actually he is picked off on most of them...
Maybe just punt a couple times a game? Like when you have the lead and the game is on the line and you absolutely can’t let them score, just a thought…How bout we try that next season 🤷♂️
I’m sorry, but this coach is not it. Sure, maybe when he had top tier talent at all positions you could onside kick and go for it on 4th constantly, but with lesser teams you can’t. They’re constantly starting the opposing offense at the 50, he has his right handed QB rolling out to the left, etc. Imagine what this score could have been if they actually kicked off and punted the ball, allowing their defense some room to work with and making their offense drive 80 yards.
For being a supposedly analytics based coach doing an onside kick every kickoff doesn’t make sense. As the game gets closer to ending an unsuccessful onside kick can be even more costly. Also it seemed like his team hardly recovered onside kicks this year. He must need a certain percentage of onside kicks to be recovered to break even with giving the other team great field position a majority of the time. Not sure what that number is, but I doubt they met that quota.
Idk man. I think in a situation like this, rolling the dice is what gives you a chance. Keeps your defense fresh and puts their defense on the field a lot. I like his strategy, but he needs more time with the team to build it. I don’t agree with the late onside kick with the lead tho.
My guess would be jv is suited up just so they can all be allowed on the team bus so they can have more people cheering/fans so they don’t have to rely on driving themselves
Imagine what would happen if you didn’t give the other team the ball at mid-field every time?? It’s a shame the boys have to suffer because of a coach’s ego - should’ve won that game. It’s been what, 10 years since his stupid gimmicks have worked?? He’s like a bad used car salesman.
You get a quarterback performance like that when you tell him to not move his feet, this coach sucks idc how many state championships he had the players carried him to those.
you think that a program just magically wins 8 state titles like Pulaski did? It all starts with the coaching lmao. Brayden Bratcher used what he coached, he went to Arkansas. Charlie Fiser used it, he went to SMU. Dax is just a lot less athletic lmao
@@stevehead8024 He would have won far less, but you don't understand analytics and high school ball. He has an absolutely astonishing record when they recover an onside kick. Unfortunately this game homie kept falling down every onside kick. They should have at least had 2.
How can this coach possibly feel that bad for his team? He’s killing there chances with those onside kicks . He kills any momentum they get every time they fail to make an onside kick shame on u coach.
Qb has zero awareness for anything. If he could read coverage, and also realize hes allowed to move and scramble he might be a little better. Arm isnt terrible strenght wise, but not accurate.
I’ve been told he actually doing what that coach asks of him and that he has thrown for over 3600 yards. You seeing highlights of all mistakes for views and then hating on kids for fucks sake
I get the team may not have much talent but they should’ve definitely won that game. Those 4th quarter play calls were terrible especially on 3rd down.
A lot of teams at the highschool level play very soft and undisciplined defense. I understand offenses have gotten better but defensively a lot of these teams play extremely poor assignment football. It’s ridiculous to watch.
Who would want to go play for this guy. He's not giving his team a chance by playing the odds. Because he did this back in the day doesn't mean he should still do it. Insanity, doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. If what he was doing worked, everybody or at least some people would also try it. Ridiculous. Other than his ego he seems like a really good guy but he's letting his ego get the best of him. Its not fair to his team.
I’m sorry but this team was not it. All they had was a rb. Defense was bad. Without their unique strat this team wouldn’t win a game. Sorry but it’s the truth. Also not one onside recovery. I would have stuck the rub out there on kickoff.
Does this coach not have a kicker that can kick it deap lol, giving the ball to the other team with a medicore dfense at best is kinda stupid, lol onsidde kicks every time can not be the answer at all ever.

I'm going to say it.....this coach lost this game!!! how in the heck do you always do onside kicks!!! you're going to give the other team GREAT field position! sorry this coach is a joke! week in and week out I watch video after video.....and going for 2 when it's not necessary...again...dumb! you're leaving points on the field..... i feel bad for the players...Sheridan should have won this game.....but the coach screwed them!
