Justin: "For where I live it's just not the best artificial shrimp to be using." Catches a slam & Mangrove Snapper....... Mark Nichols: And you were saying.......?
Buddy you do such a great job with your videos and fish handling....a great example of a skilled angler. And thanks for keeping it clean because my kids love watching with me
Also, I grew up my teenage years in Brandon, Florida but I moved back home to Pittsburgh, PA back in 2000 and I miss saltwater fishing SSSOOO badly...especially after watching this.
I’ve tried using these for years. Even recently gave them another try. Mine rarely ever slide up after hooksets and the fish usually gets off because the hook isn’t exposed enough. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? I use a perfect loop knot similar to your setup. Idk. Your review was spot on. Glad it worked for you and anyone who uses them! 🤙 Sick video, brother! -D
Dope vid JM, I hear a lot about the vudu shrimp, bein from the northeast it probably wouldn’t be a great lure for me to be throwing but it looked like it worked pretty good for you, keep it up..🤙🏼🤙🏼..
The vudu shrimp is good but it is small compared to other shrimp lures, and with slight heat it can melt the plastic. If it touches another soft plastic it will melt. But overall it works
@@holdenfitzgerald4212 ya I tried using the Savage Gear manic shrimp they come in a variety of lager sizes an are pretty durable, you can get em in a 5” if I’m not mistaken
Hey I was looking into getting some smiths longfin sunglasses for fishing since I lost my other pair due to a customer hitting me in the head with a rod and knocking my hat and glasses off into the water. I guide trips and got a 60% off any smiths glasses for being a guide and was wondering if the lense color matters? I had oakleys prism deep ocean lense in blue but the pair of smiths I want are brown and I see you have brown. I was just wondering if it matters at all when your on the water? The blue lense was way darker when driving and I know green and brown are a bit lighter but I don’t know how they work offshore?
Bro your eye measurements never fail ... and obviously it’s not no skit 😂 for months I would say dang he’s always saying the right size of fish every video but now it’s getting out of hand 😂😭 you the man !
I need your secrets I’m struggling with the redfish here tarpon springs area ! I’ve tried everything dead bait, live shrimp, power prawn , doa , pinfish, !!! Hooked into a good one and broke off … I’ve been doing back country got kayak and everything because of you and another RUclipsr!! Keep it up , tight lines ! I personally don’t like doa I’ve never been successful with them!!
find spots near the inlet and also if you’re really trying to hook up then find some charter boats and fish under the charter boats. there will be dock pets waiting for a free meal for you.
@@justin_menendez lol yea I was pumped to see that tarpon charge the inlet!!! You shoulda seen everyone that was fishing there look at me, everything was quite until. ! Anyways I told em all who you where and Hopefully they subscribe 🤘😎🌮
For all the stuff you do trying to land fish like the trout, I think you should get a net with some rubber netting. Doesn’t hurt the fish slime and makes landing things like trout a heck of a lot easier and less stressful.
That's my favorite go to shrimp out of all of them I like it because it allows me to skip in those tight areas my favorite is the white with the gold at the bottom that's my go-to
Don’t you fish the Indian River around Melbourne and that area? I swear by this artificial, I’ve caught over-slot snook redfish and tarpon on it, and I usually only fly fish. What do you think is a better artificial than this?
So you tried the clear shrimp, and I would say really good results, so how about doing a videos we’re you throw different colors at them to see if one color out fishes the others 🤔. Ps , the more I see your geenue the more I want one , 👍🏼
Not to make fun of you or anything but you started the video by saying that the DOA shrimp doesn't really work for your area and you haven't had much luck with it, but you snagged a nice red, nice snook, and that crazy trout. I'd say the DOA shrimp is Justin approved after today...lol I know how it goes when you have an opinion about something and you end up catching some killer fish on it the same day...lmao
I caught my first red recently using a casting spoon. He was 26.5 inches. I was getting skunked and then at 7:30 in the morning I thought I had gotten hung up so a jerked my rod and the reel just started screaming. Took me 10 minutes to get him in and he made some good fish tacos. I was fishing the choctowatchee bay from a dock while on vacation. I’m 15 and was fishing while my siblings were packing to leave at lunch time.
You guys use the DOA Shrimp??
Yea its great!!!
lost so many giant snook on it because tho hooks a little weak
Yup but savage gear is now my go to
@@jacknehs5 that new rtf kills in the new penny
I've landed a 31" speck on a green with silver flake DOA !!!! And literally thousands of slot trout in the Upper Laguna Madre Texas
No experience with the shrimp but the DOA CAL absolutely kicks ass

I knew that was a Red the way he ate that. DOA shrimp catch everything. Keep Slaying!
All these fish are chunky for their size, eating good in the neighborhood!

D.O.A Shrimp has never let me down,, hell yeah bro awesome job👍
Haven’t started the video yet, but the 2.75” shrimp blows the 3” out of the water. Change my mind.
Most factual thing I’ve heard all week

Hey Justin, sweet fish! What push pole are you using and gunnel clips? Thanks
He has a Moonlighter fiberglass push pole. Not sure of the length, but I think its a 16 ft.

Brother you are my favorite. My opinion you’re on top of the game, runner ups are lawdawg, fl bass master, and fishaholic
what rod are you using i didnt see it in the description, is it custom?

Who is this man turned into he called a 24 inch snook good for him That’s bait size I’ve seen you call 30 inch snook small
