Catch monster snook just crawling these right on the surface at night. I had the 2” weedless shrimp get me a 38” snook right in a mouth of a creek flowing onto a flat. Wading at night is scary alone tho

So I picked up the savage 3D 4 1/2 “ inch shrimp at a flea market for $ 3 bucks the hook is in a slot , it’s the translucent gold with flake in it , I would have liked the smaller size azz I think the fish would be more receptive to it , whereas the bigger one might be better for snook or larger fish , the game changer is the gheenoe it gets you back in the skinny water and your able to site fish , I do have to say the lure is realistic looking and l wish more US lure companies would jump on the bandwagon and produce more realistic lures , I did try the crab but not much luck with it , but I’ll get it a few more chances 👍🏼

Was out today the water is cold , clear , and not seeing a lot of bait around , maybe it was just the spot I was fish’n , the reds are a bit spooky , but if it’s a dark bottom the water might warm up a bit and the bite might get better, I know you’re testing those shrimp but I can’t help but wonder if a plastic 3D crab would have worked as well ? 🤔

When you had those three refusals in a row, why didn’t you immediately switch to the other color?
We’ll I had about 3 refusals in a row followed by 3 eats. It’s just fishing, nothing is ever guaranteed.

just about all the shrimp lures are attractive and catch fish but i cant see spending 7 to 10 $ bucks for 1 shrimp when a 3 pack of DOA are still under 6 bucks at walmart
DOA shrimp have been slaying fish for decades, I've had no reason to switch. Especially since they are more affordable as you mentioned.
