So nice to see you back on Flosstube. You were the first Flosstubee I watched back in Jan 2019 and I binge caught up back then. Sending you finish it vibes for the Mirabilia :)
Hello Tina! Always slow with commenting but at least I do in the end 😜 So yes, I think the old canvas is a great idea for framing your Long Dog finish and the Velcro idea is brilliant 😃 I use foam board to mount/frame most of my stitching. Of course sometimes I finish them differently, in little or bigger pillows etc but foam board is my first go to solution. I like the normal frames but they are really difficult to storage when you don't have them decorated, especially the big ones, plus that they can cost much more 🖼 I like a lot the shoes patterns from Bothy Threads too, especially the Christmas one is so posh and impressive 👠 I hope you'll get in the right mood to finish the Snow Queen because she looks really amazing and you've done most of it and it's a lot of work ❄ Have fund with your crafting and everything, till next time 😍🧵🪡
Tina your Templar of Prophecy is fantastic I’m so glad we got to see it finished, it’s amazing. Also the tape measure story is so funny. I love your vlogs, thank you for adding so much to my day
Hi Tina - another wonderful video. Love seeing all your projects! Sat here with my cuppa Sunday morning and enjoyed spending time with you. You always inspire me to get my stitching out - but my knitting and sewing draw me away.. I did want to ask if you ever read (I actually listen) to Jessica Redlands books? I love all the authentic English references to your culture - my cuppa is from those books - we just say cup here in the US. I’m enjoying the Hedgehog Hollow series. We don’t have hedgehogs here in the US so really loving the stories. Thanks for continuing to share your crafting life with us all - so glad you decided to keep making videos! Becky
About to watch this but wanted to say I get so excited when I see notification of your flosstubes- I don’t watch many but yours I always watch! Love your mice by the way!!!
@@crossstitchingtina7300 absolutely not!! I’m wishing for another today!! Loved it. It did give me a giggle and the Velcro had me shouting “don’t do it Tina!!” Have a lovely Sunday Tina!
every time i see your long dog it makes me want to start one, I just started a smaller monochrome in the same dmc you used for it 🤣 I use lakeside a lot, there are bargains to be had on fabrics and other things in the clearance section, I've had a few lovely bits from there.
Funny story about the tape measure, lol! Yes, brilliant - I like the idea of using Velcro for the Long Dog sampler! It would definitely be a time saver for future cleaning! I didn't see any ads.
Hello Tina - oh my i love seeing when you have a new video. Oh so funny Gary would not use the Unicorn tape measure!! Hilarious. Congratulations on Long Dog finish, yay 🎉 And fyi - I do not see Ads in middle of the videos
On the LDS, could you use upholstery pins/tacks? I’m unsure how firmly the velcro is going to hold the piece. I like that you have already thoroughly considered your choices about not framing the piece… my main concern is that normal household dust will ruin it, but you have solved that issue already with your idea of taking it down and washing it. great job!
Go for it😄!!! You are all rooting for you, I’m sure! And there’s an end, I’m sure, at the end of the beads tunnel, yay! Oh and I had to laugh every time you talked about your online training: I couldn’t agree more, poor you🤣🤣🤣
I think after all the hard work and time that it's taken to stitch Templar I would have it professionally framed, I know it's expensive but well worth it to show off such a stunning piece of stitching.
I didn’t get any adds on this video Tina. Your tape measure story was so funny… that’s something my husband would do! lol enjoy your stitchy time & look forward to seeing you soon 🪡👠
Hello Tina, lovely to see you again, funny story with the measuring tape😅. I am always afraid of using velcro, I would only do a few stitches and take good care of the corners, it is such a beautiful work!!! I look forward to see how you do it. I started the ‘shell we dance’ this summer. The mice are sooooo adorable. Good luck with your work for school. Bye, have a lovely weekend, Love from Belgium, Lieve (btw: I had no ads)
Hi Tina no ads at all. Love all your stitching and I think the velcro idea is good as long as you can pull the work taught all the way round. It may look distorted if it's just small strips of velcro every couple of inches or so. I've never done it, so could be wrong, just trying to picture it in my head. Anyway I know this channel is for cross stitching but I just wanted to mention that there is a new Marlow murder club book out if your not aware. I came across it while looking for reads for Christmas gifts. That's one that's going on my wish list thus year😂
(Non glare glass would work for your Templar.) And I do understand the impact of the images colour and texture of the cross stitching 😊 Templar is fabulous and fascinating. I would totally enjoy looking at and touching the Templar (without glass) mounted on canvas 😊
Always nice to see you here. Re Velcro: I think it will work, Tina, I've successfully used an adhesive hook and loop tape to attach a large needlepoint canvas to scroll bars and a table frame. Got it from Amazon, so many options. Re ads: I hates 'em, so I pay for Premium RUclips. If that wasn't a choice, I'd watch very little YT.
Thank you for your thoughts. We don't watch anything live on tv , 10 minutes an hour of ads is really annoying. 1 hours TV is reduced to 50 minutes without ads 😁
Hello Tina! I understand your feelings about large cross stitch pieces, I don’t do any large pieces - no more than 120x120 stitches! How about using a carpentry stapler to attach your piece to the frame & miter the corners? That story about Gary @ the measuring tape is a hoot! Men, gotta love’em!! Take care. I saw no ads.
Hi Tina. Beautiful stitching! Especially love the mice. I was going to suggest a wall hanging for your sampler but I see someone else has suggested it. But your Velcro idea is ingenious💡😀. Best ideas always come at 4.00 in the morning don’t they. Have a great weekend. ps No ads came up 👍
That is just too funny about Gary and the unicorn measuring tape! Because of course a "manly" one is more accurate. 🦄😏 About your Long Dog, Karla Being Crafty has used hobnails (upholstery) to attach cross stitch pieces to frames. She did have a bit of trouble with one or two nails not wanting to go into the wood in a particular area. The effect on the FFOs was quite nice, though.
Tbf the fabric tape measures can stretch with use, so the metal "garage" tape measure is better for when you need to be exact! Do I always use a metal tape measure though? Absolutely not 😂
Thank you so much for your content! On the Templar have you considered flat tacks and mitered corners? Just a thought but velcro should work even with mitered corners
I love the Tarot Card one just thinking as you said in the video not into hands you could add a bead on one of the fingers. The Xmas boot I finished mine last year and my sister has it as a cushion it was a really fun one to stitch. I was watching a video of a woman making her cross stitch finishes into a wall hanging. All she did was add fabric and ironed on interfacing to give fabric extra stiffness and folded over the edges and put a curtain pole through the top, I have to say it really turned out well. No advertisements came up while I was watching your video. I have watched other peoples videos and there were a lot of advertisements to the point I gave up watching.

Hi Tina, thank you for the video, the otter looks really cute. By the way, no ads came up for me (I'm in Australia, I don't know if that affects it at all).
I think velcro is a great idea, except for washing it. The velcro could damage the fabric or the stitches. As for the corners, you could miter them like making a bed or wrapping a present. If you just fold down and then across, it will be bulky and not lay nicely. Good luck!
Was that a Good luck you're bonkers 🤣 Yes I agree washing with velcro would be a delicate exercise. Careful handwashing would be needed. Thank you for your thoughts 😊
I'd staple the Long Dog if it were me. Velcro and stitching don't mix well, too much risk of it catching on the stitching. Staple it or nail it to the frame 😊

Hi sorry it's 401 😊
Yey I have it😂
If you use velcro, you will have to be careful when washing. The velcro will catch in your threads.
Excellent point ,thank you
Velcro is a BAD idea. Please, order a nice frame. You have put too much work in to the Gorgeous piece to half way finish it.
I'd staple the Long Dog if it were me. Velcro and stitching don't mix well, too much risk of it catching on the stitching. Staple it or nail it to the frame 😊
Staples is what I was thinking also and the warning of the Velcro when washing comes to mind also.
Good points, thank you
