HI Tina, Just found you again, I am subscribed but none of your videos were alerted to me, sorted that now. Regarding stitching in a hotel, I found a great small neck lamp that has a usb charger, I use it for when I am in hotels and it is great! It is lightweight around the neck, I have tried many different ones but this one is perfect, does not have magnification so that maybe a problem, however the lights have three settings on each side so I can see easily. Love the mice pattern, the colours are lovely.

every time i see your long dog it makes me want to start one, I just started a smaller monochrome in the same dmc you used for it 🤣 I use lakeside a lot, there are bargains to be had on fabrics and other things in the clearance section, I've had a few lovely bits from there.

Tbf the fabric tape measures can stretch with use, so the metal "garage" tape measure is better for when you need to be exact! Do I always use a metal tape measure though? Absolutely not 😂

Templar looks amazing. On a frame is a great idea but I have no suggestions for you! No ads 🙂

Hello Tina! Always slow with commenting but at least I do in the end 😜 So yes, I think the old canvas is a great idea for framing your Long Dog finish and the Velcro idea is brilliant 😃 I use foam board to mount/frame most of my stitching. Of course sometimes I finish them differently, in little or bigger pillows etc but foam board is my first go to solution. I like the normal frames but they are really difficult to storage when you don't have them decorated, especially the big ones, plus that they can cost much more 🖼 I like a lot the shoes patterns from Bothy Threads too, especially the Christmas one is so posh and impressive 👠 I hope you'll get in the right mood to finish the Snow Queen because she looks really amazing and you've done most of it and it's a lot of work ❄ Have fund with your crafting and everything, till next time 😍🧵🪡

Thank you so much for your content! On the Templar have you considered flat tacks and mitered corners? Just a thought but velcro should work even with mitered corners

Velcro is a BAD idea. Please, order a nice frame. You have put too much work in to the Gorgeous piece to half way finish it.

Velcro genius idea!

On the LDS, could you use upholstery pins/tacks? I’m unsure how firmly the velcro is going to hold the piece. I like that you have already thoroughly considered your choices about not framing the piece… my main concern is that normal household dust will ruin it, but you have solved that issue already with your idea of taking it down and washing it. great job!

If you use velcro, you will have to be careful when washing. The velcro will catch in your threads.

I'd staple the Long Dog if it were me. Velcro and stitching don't mix well, too much risk of it catching on the stitching. Staple it or nail it to the frame 😊

Hi Tina no ads at all. Love all your stitching and I think the velcro idea is good as long as you can pull the work taught all the way round. It may look distorted if it's just small strips of velcro every couple of inches or so. I've never done it, so could be wrong, just trying to picture it in my head. Anyway I know this channel is for cross stitching but I just wanted to mention that there is a new Marlow murder club book out if your not aware. I came across it while looking for reads for Christmas gifts. That's one that's going on my wish list thus year😂

Just sharing Tina I have a very small project bag for simple knits featuring various cats wearing glasses 😅😂 I adore whimsy 🎉 The cats bring me joy😊

That is just too funny about Gary and the unicorn measuring tape! Because of course a "manly" one is more accurate. 🦄😏 About your Long Dog, Karla Being Crafty has used hobnails (upholstery) to attach cross stitch pieces to frames. She did have a bit of trouble with one or two nails not wanting to go into the wood in a particular area. The effect on the FFOs was quite nice, though.

I think after all the hard work and time that it's taken to stitch Templar I would have it professionally framed, I know it's expensive but well worth it to show off such a stunning piece of stitching.

Hello Tina! I understand your feelings about large cross stitch pieces, I don’t do any large pieces - no more than 120x120 stitches! How about using a carpentry stapler to attach your piece to the frame & miter the corners? That story about Gary @ the measuring tape is a hoot! Men, gotta love’em!! Take care. I saw no ads.

I love the Tarot Card one just thinking as you said in the video not into hands you could add a bead on one of the fingers. The Xmas boot I finished mine last year and my sister has it as a cushion it was a really fun one to stitch. I was watching a video of a woman making her cross stitch finishes into a wall hanging. All she did was add fabric and ironed on interfacing to give fabric extra stiffness and folded over the edges and put a curtain pole through the top, I have to say it really turned out well. No advertisements came up while I was watching your video. I have watched other peoples videos and there were a lot of advertisements to the point I gave up watching.

Always nice to see you here. Re Velcro: I think it will work, Tina, I've successfully used an adhesive hook and loop tape to attach a large needlepoint canvas to scroll bars and a table frame. Got it from Amazon, so many options. Re ads: I hates 'em, so I pay for Premium RUclips. If that wasn't a choice, I'd watch very little YT.

I think velcro is a great idea, except for washing it. The velcro could damage the fabric or the stitches. As for the corners, you could miter them like making a bed or wrapping a present. If you just fold down and then across, it will be bulky and not lay nicely. Good luck!
