Commander Appo trooper snap out of it .....I use to think that being a good soldier was doing what they told us to do......but were not droids we must be able to make decisions for Ourselves!!!!
The lancers make sense when put on a speeder bike. They can move in quickly and do massive damage to enemy vehicles. The problem is that they had no defense or long range weapons, that just makes attacking them basically just shooting skeet. With more shielding and some long range weapons, they could have been a fierce fighting force
Godzilla00X .....When you apply force to an object, that object applies the same amount of force back to you. There is no way that a human body can handle the impact force necessary to drive a lance through a tank, no matter what universe you are in. Unless one is using a lightsaber, vibrosword, or another weapon that will melt/cut through armor on its own (without requiring significant force behind it), no one is going to damage an armored vehicle with a melee weapon.
Lancers should have been used to harass and attack colums. Hit camps and weakly defend areas. Disrupt communication's. It's poor writing and lack of military know how as to why the Lancers got shafted.
Kayge, they could've done that much better with GPMGs,grenade launchers or bazookas. No matter how they're used, their stupid weapon will always be a major disadvantage.
I'm glad a lot of these channels still refer to legends for their material. Even the Clone Wars micro series still has valid Legends canon. Anakin being knighted for example. Where else do you see that? His adventures in the Clone Wars leading up to that point are documented nowhere else. The new canon is turning out to be an impotent mess, so Legends needs to be revered and must survive
Lancer Battalion troopers were like all other troopers: conditioned and flash trained from birth, given training to follow orders. That was likely the first battle experienced by many soldiers of the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic, so the ludicrousy of tactics and the concept of desertion would have been foreign to you. On top of that, your opinion of bounty hunters would likely have fallen really low if you ever learned that the guy leading the other side's lancers, Durge, was a bounty hunter who hated clones.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.
So... Some these Clones hated the Jedi always.. well Jedi haven't made good generals in centuries by the time of the Clone Wars.. guess the lucky Clone units were the ones under one the movie Jedis. Here's one for you. Is there and Clone units, chip or not, that REGRETTED killing their Jedi an even wish they hadn't??
There was one Clonetrooper (in canon) led by Depa Billaba, who regretted killing his general. The guilt had stricken him to the point that he allowed Kanan Jarrus to escape by sacrificing himself and his men, as a means of making amends for his actions.
Precious Gems The Second yeah think I heard of him.. just wondered, though think I know the answer, if there was any instance where a company or battalion even received the order, carried it out but none of them was eager to do it am even was conflicted or not happy about it.. Of course I think that was what the chip was for.. to force the issue as I'm sure otherwise whole regiments an armies would've thought Palpatine had hit his head on something an totally pulled the "too much solar flare activity your breaking up we can't understand you" routine and just switched it off saying "screw that, we're not doing that". Doubt that ever happened on a large scale just wondered, couldn't help it.
There are not. You are correct. The bio-chips were implanted into the brains of each Clonetrooper, specifically to override their brains when the order would be executed. It is not explained how the bio-chips operate, but it is believed that, after the deed was done, many Clonetroopers felt guilty for their actions and regretted it to the point that it negatively affected their mentality. Therefore, it is obvious that the bio-chips only brainwashed each soldier for a temporary time.
There was one Jedi, but it’s not canon anymore, they shot her up from behind so they didn’t have to look her in the eyes, and they over shot her so she’d die quickly. She was super kind to all the clones, that’s why they regretted killing, I forget her name btw.
X wizytizy X yeah think I know who you mean. On planet Fallucia, Ayala Secura I think was her. Think I messed up the first name but DEFINITELY sure was Secura. Least they tried to do it quick and by surprise. Not sure I'd try to be quite that way as her Clone Commander. Maybe have a sniper or artillery team try in one those ways where it's quick and relatively immediate but guess they worked with what they had at the time
ERIC WANG in the non-canon old battlefront 2, it's showen that they really cared about her and shot so often on her, to be sure she didn't had a long, painfull death. But again, not canon!
The troopers couldn't bear to look her in the eye. They wanted her death to be quick and painless if possible. On top of that, Order 66 overrode most of their thought patterns and it was impossible to resist with those chip implants.
Halopro895 But these Clones are essentially Calvary (Light or otherwise), and the Light Brigade has an Iron Maiden song, The Trooper, so they get a theme song.
Bacara _*puts rug on head_ "I thought of all my men who died under Ki-Adi-Mundi's command and if I'd known that he and his buddies were gearing up to do the separatist's work for them and overthrow the government I'd have him shot as a traitor a lot earlier." _*takes rug off of head_
Opening scene of ROTS, Space Battle over Coruscant. "Clones attacked by Vulture Droids." Anakin : I'm gonna help them out. Obi-Wan: No, they are doing their job so we can do ours.
It's funny because me and my brother sometimes joke about what if Obi Wan was like Zapp Brannigan, and would send in wave after wave of his clones until the droids would reach their maximum kill count, with most of the clones hating him for this.
Jokes on them, as I’m pretty sure that once Order 66 was executed and the war was over, clones got even worse treatment and considered a lower class than humans or aliens.
if you watch the order 66 scene where the marines execute mundi you see one clone at the front hesitate and look to his other clones like wtf are you doing, quite sad actually
This is for Geestlys. The 49th Lancer Battalion was commanded by Major Duron. Duron didnt usually ride speeder bikes, he was more settled at command posts near battles with lancer troopers. Duron was an understanding Major, a nice but strict one. He hand picked his men from the mandalorian trainer, Kilo Skry. But of course, Duron needed a second in command. This second in command was Captain Riclo. Riclo was a lay back trooper, as he talked with alot with their general, Sky Tori. By the time Ordr 66 had come, they both obeyed. Their order was issued on Geonosis, as they were sent there to lance into remaining droid facilities and forces. The moment they got their ordr was on a patrol with Sky, Duron, And Riclo, and a couple other men. They eliminated Sky within a couple minutes. Duron was later to be promoted to Battalion Commander, leaving Riclo to command the lancr battalion. Duron later served as the commander of the 98th Special forces in the G.E. He then died durring a crossfire between a tratior known as ST-571819, or, Kickfar.
Important note for a lot of people. The lancer battalion, was essentially a penal battalion of sorts. For men who failed to show enough motivation during training trials. If a clone showed motivation, even if they still failed, they were given much more appreciable tasks. Closer to the work of 99. Someone needed to do the work of a lancer, for close in precision strikes against dug in heavy armour. The supply of a pistol to troops would have been perfectly fine and quite desirable. But due to the penal nature of the battalion, they were not issued. When used for the right niesh senario, a lancer unit would be highly effective. Ramming an electrolance into the gaps in even a Geonosian super heavy tank can be catastrophic to important circuitry. Surprising or not. Lancers on Umbara would have been a great help to Reduce against the Umbaran armour. They're broken levels of maneuverability and speed would have help save a lot of lives.
well, I have to say one thing about the galactic marines, yes, bacara hesitated, but he didnt hesitate because he liked his jedi but because he hated him so much in this second, also, before order 66 the galactic marines respected mundi, because he had no fear for death and always was the first into battle.
I thought the use of lances was just in response to Durge inflicting heavy casualties with his IG Lancer droids. The lances the clones used were captured weapons. Obviously the lances were some kind of technologically upgraded weapon
@ 3:22 that is a scene from the clone wars mini series the enemy were using droids in speeder bikes with lances and they were decimating obi wan forces so obi wan and some clones mounted up and did the same obi wan is the guy in clone armor with a cape
Also, perhaps you shouldn't throw shade on the lancers if you don't understand why they were used - just a thought. There's a lot of weird shit in war that begins to make some sense when you're able to ask people involved.
STAR WARS!!! The universe where speeder-bike lancers were used in a blaster fight. But the successors of those lancers had blasters built onto their speeder bikes, as well has having side arms on their person, lost to weaponry used that was far inferior and primitive while present on Endor.
I think the Lance Speeders actually could have been brilliant, especially against large swaths of forward marching droids. If they had some forward shielding and the lance had a built in blaster at the tip to fire on the approach the effect would have been devastating. Especially if they equiped the riders with blasting charges to throw onto enemy vehicles as they sped by. Flanking maneuvers would be absolutely destructive. Just a lack of investment and good tactical use was the problem. Even without shields and just the melee lance, if used purely as a flanking force with some grenades to toss as they flew past would be so powerful.
I think you may have forgotten the 327th Star Corps under Commander Bly. They were paired up with Aayla Secura. The 327th was another high strung battalion that went through serious hell during the Wars, last of course was Felucia. On Felucia the clones were low on supplies, got sick fast from new bacteria, constant Ayclay and wildlife attacks, too much moisture for the equipment, and some clones just flat out went mad. Bly and those under him became bitter towards the Jedi due to the thinking not enough was being done, and Felucia was their breaking point. Upon Order 66 bing issued they did not hesitate pulling the trigger. If the Order had not been issued Aayla Secura still never would have left the planet alive.
The clones appreciated Secura and in the original SWBFII game they admired her and hoped that her death was quick. The 327th were not the only unit to battle it out on Felucia, and there is no evidence that any of the clones had went mad either. The war forced many units to fight in harsh environments, over and over again.
Lancer batallion reminded me of those poor guys who died on horseback, charging against muskets and artillery in the Crimean war, I forgot the battle's name tho
I'd try surviving only to have an excuse for being dead because my whole squad just literally died and try Living the same life that other clone did in the clone wars
Fun fact, the Jedi Order hasn’t fought in a major war since the now non-canon Old Republic era. Because the Mandalorians were separated and weak and the Sith were destroyed because of this the Jedi have no leadership skills
They were probably more tense with their birth born commanders. Ozzel from ESB in the comics used to send in his clones into slaughters WW2 russian army style
327th star corps. They respected aayla but they were sent to some of the most hostile and hazardous planets and became very desensitized. That's what they shot aayla so much even when she had fallen

Least they tried to do it quick and by surprise. Not sure I'd try to be quite that way as her Clone Commander. Maybe have a sniper or artillery team try in one those ways where it's quick and relatively immediate but guess they worked with what they had at the time
I didn't think the clones ever had a choice when Order 66 happened, but I could see these ones feeling no remorse when they came too.
How about the 327th battalion that killed aayla secura
ERIC WANG in the non-canon old battlefront 2, it's showen that they really cared about her and shot so often on her, to be sure she didn't had a long, painfull death. But again, not canon!
345831671036 wait a second I thought the original Battlefront 2 was Canon before Disney came
Commando 723 yes, it was
Commando 723 that's the point, before Disney
2/3 units on here aren't part of the new (inferior) canon. This channel's safely in the Legends category.
That feeling when the silent clone trooper in the back didn't holster his blaster.
It bothered me how quick the troopers killed Aayla Secura. According to the old EU, she was nothing but kind to her soldiers.
wdcain1 they wanted her to die quickly and without pain
Anon Anon yeah but they continued to shoot the body XD
Vader Plays in order to give her a quick painless death
Vader Plays To make sure she wasn't still alive and suffering.
The troopers couldn't bear to look her in the eye. They wanted her death to be quick and painless if possible. On top of that, Order 66 overrode most of their thought patterns and it was impossible to resist with those chip implants.
Even I feel bad for these clones.
I vote we rename the Lancer Battalion to the Light Brigade. All in favor?
How about Bonzai Battalion?
Great poem
Halopro895 But these Clones are essentially Calvary (Light or otherwise), and the Light Brigade has an Iron Maiden song, The Trooper, so they get a theme song.
Suicide Squad. It fits.
Aren't brigades larger than battalions? Hence the Special Operations Brigade?
Bacara _*puts rug on head_
"I thought of all my men who died under Ki-Adi-Mundi's command and if I'd known that he and his buddies were gearing up to do the separatist's work for them and overthrow the government I'd have him shot as a traitor a lot earlier."
_*takes rug off of head_
if I were a clone I would be kicking ass
true
Khinson12 you deserve a like for honesty.
Opening scene of ROTS, Space Battle over Coruscant.
"Clones attacked by Vulture Droids."
Anakin : I'm gonna help them out.
Obi-Wan: No, they are doing their job so we can do ours.
You cant blame them
"Execute order sixty six."
Clone: "F***in finally!!"
Jedi: what was that?
Clone(while taking aim): oh, nothing.
Nice vid
Oh yeah yeah
It's funny because me and my brother sometimes joke about what if Obi Wan was like Zapp Brannigan, and would send in wave after wave of his clones until the droids would reach their maximum kill count, with most of the clones hating him for this.
Rip in peace
Supreme Games rip is the short form of rest in peace
Lol this comment makes 0 sence
I know
Supreme Games Then, you’re an idiot for adding “...in peace” after “R.I.P.”.
Rest In Peace in peace
Jokes on them, as I’m pretty sure that once Order 66 was executed and the war was over, clones got even worse treatment and considered a lower class than humans or aliens.
4:08 pretty much shit
If I found out I was gonna be a lancer clone I’d start practicing my “Tenno Heika Banzai”s pretty quick
You don't bring lances to a blaster fight.
But they didn't bring lances to a blaster fight, they fought droids with lances...
True but why? It's a futuristic galactic war ffs, not medieval times.
You're right, they should get rid of those stupid laser swords too!
the clones were probably like
"finally order 66 is happening, this dude sucks"
Lancer * sir the droids have massive cannons *. General * grab your lance and prepare for a charge *
if you watch the order 66 scene where the marines execute mundi you see one clone at the front hesitate and look to his other clones like wtf are you doing, quite sad actually
Congratulations on 300k
I thought the use of lances was just in response to Durge inflicting heavy casualties with his IG Lancer droids. The lances the clones used were captured weapons. Obviously the lances were some kind of technologically upgraded weapon
@ 3:22 that is a scene from the clone wars mini series the enemy were using droids in speeder bikes with lances and they were decimating obi wan forces so obi wan and some clones mounted up and did the same obi wan is the guy in clone armor with a cape
Obiwan led the lancers at one point and only General I know...was seen in the original clone wars series and pictured in your video.
1:26 “only sith deal in absolutes”
Reminder to join Geestlys Gmod Rp ( I’m a Admiral on there, it’s pretty fun)
Also, perhaps you shouldn't throw shade on the lancers if you don't understand why they were used - just a thought. There's a lot of weird shit in war that begins to make some sense when you're able to ask people involved.
STAR WARS!!! The universe where speeder-bike lancers were used in a blaster fight. But the successors of those lancers had blasters built onto their speeder bikes, as well has having side arms on their person, lost to weaponry used that was far inferior and primitive while present on Endor.
Lances: Because it looks cool and even better when animated
That filter at 2:56. Love it, but make sure to turn the volume up!
Did any of the Clones regret killing the Jedi after they saw the result of the Republic turning in to the Empire?
Keep up the great work!
The war forced many units to fight in harsh environments, over and over again.
imagine they all didnt even have the inhibitor chips and just did it anyways
4:29 id probably die before i could figure that one out
No one:
Clones:Switching sides
Had I known what the Jedi were plotting, I wouldn't have waited for Order 66
Actually Bacara did hesitate and think for a sec, it’s said in multiple descriptions in books and I’m pretty sure the card game by Konami
Geetsly’s my list for this video is
3: Faye
2: baracca
1: neyo
Fun fact, the Jedi Order hasn’t fought in a major war since the now non-canon Old Republic era. Because the Mandalorians were separated and weak and the Sith were destroyed because of this the Jedi have no leadership skills
They were probably more tense with their birth born commanders. Ozzel from ESB in the comics used to send in his clones into slaughters WW2 russian army style
The lance battalion: oh F**k why did I bring a lance to a gun fight
327th star corps. They respected aayla but they were sent to some of the most hostile and hazardous planets and became very desensitized. That's what they shot aayla so much even when she had fallen
No, they shot her to ensure that she was killed quickly and that her nerves were fried. Bly and Secura were quite close.
The art at the start is amazing
Not sure if you’ve done it before but you should make a top 10 best looking Armors within Star Wars
Galactic Marines are on here, calling it now
looks at the lancer batalion....
RANSA GA SHINDA
I'd be both excited and scared at the same time
I would have thought that Blys battalion would be on there since he hated his Jedi
At 2:59 it sounds like you’re being teabagged.
2:55
Geetsly gets kidnapped by Cyka Blyat and Tripaloski but he keeps the audio on so he can post the video
Yeah if I were a clone in these battalions I would want to do order 66 and great video.
“War, war never changes”
