    I have 9 out of the 10 books you've shown (don't have the House of Secrets 92). Most of them are raw and not graded, but here's the thing----I bought them waaaayy back in the day for only a few bucks and they're all in very good shape. For a regular comic collector and not "investor", guess I'm doing okay. Love your channel and how you break it down. Keep on keepin' on, bruh.

    Hey mate, talking of investments. I see you’ve got a marvel feature #11 CGC 9.8 and a flash comics # 16 CGC 7.5 (both relatively close in price, roughly $600 difference in price?
    So taking into account the obvious grades difference, which would be the better investment comic to buy?

    This is a tough one because a few of your books had characters that had movies or Netflix TV shows over the past 10 years. So that’s why they’ve jumped so much. Do you think that characters like Ms Marvel or Punisher will keep up with this pace? Looking for honest opinion and not dumping on the video as I thought it was good information.

    • @ComicBookInvestments
      @ComicBookInvestments  3 года назад

      Well look at wolverine. It went sky high. So even if they don’t have a movie. Like ghost rider they will still go up. Because the character itself is popular. As long as the character themselves are popular they will continue to go up over time

  • @KozysGhost

    This is a great list/video but being “experienced” and in this space, this could also be a list of the best comics to consider selling. Is it probable a 1,000+% return repeats another 1,000%+ return? Maybe, but I’m seeing A LOT of spec in this space lately which reminds me of some other bubbles. I’m in for the long haul but for some of us cash is only good when its in your account. My only caveat to that statement is that silver/bronze are special. Other vids/pods/shows have more recent titles where MILLIONS were printed but are trading for thousands. For us, having some solid bronze or silvers slabbed is a 100% long term winner. But if you have some lower graded raw’s I would think about selling into the demand. Just one man’s opinion!

    • @ComicBookInvestments
      @ComicBookInvestments  3 года назад

      I agree with you on the modern titles. There is so many out there but its all supply and demand. Like ultimate fallout 4. I can't believe that is still going up. I honestly don't think UF4 will hold its value in the long run, meaning next 5 years. But maybe 10-20 years it will still have lots of value

    Just remember what they say in the investment industry. Past returns are no guarantee of future returns. And for all of these comic winners there were also comic losers in the last 10 years. Those people that bought Western Comics would be lucky to break even in the last 10 years. Just saying. But yeah it would have been nice to buy these 10 years ago.

    • @ComicBookInvestments
      @ComicBookInvestments  3 года назад +1

      @@ComicBookInvestments also this entire list is Marvel Comics. And the reason they did so well is because of the movies TV shows. But 10 years ago the people that bought DC bronze Comic Keys have not done nearly as well unless they bought certain Batman books. But that doesn't mean Marvel will outperform DC in the next 10 years. We assume they will but things change. Back in 2008 people thought that housing prices could never go down nationally and yet they did.

    Imagine comparing a highly speculative market and short term investments like collectibles to an actual established market like s&p, stocks and index funds.
    This is the actual dumbest advice and opinions I've seen on youtube for sure. Tell you what, you invest all your money into modern comics, and ill invest mine into s&p and real estate. Lets see whos on top in 40 years lol.
    Anyone remember how the western market was beating the stock market?! Wheres that at now?

    • @ComicBookInvestments
      @ComicBookInvestments  3 года назад

      The comics in this list aren’t modern. They are Bronze Age. Meaning they are from 1970-1984. And they aren’t speculative either. I shy away from those. Hulk 181 first wolverine has been super popular and always increasing in value. Comics are a great investment. Sometimes better than stocks or real estate. That is the point of my channel. To show people that. An action comics #1 in pristine condition coat you $300 back in 1970. In the 1990s that same book would be $50,000. In the 2010 it would be 700k-1million. Now it’s 2-3million. And it all started at 10 cents! My point is comics are real long term investments. My top 10 shows that by showing the last 10 years and how much they have gain. Speculative markets don’t have 10 years of history.

    • @OrphanCrippler1
      @OrphanCrippler1 3 года назад

      @@ComicBookInvestments Except action comics and other golden age comics are an eatablished market alongside antiques. Theres also only around 1% of them that are worth actual money, but you people dont pay attention to that aspect do you? Bronze age are considered modern by market standards when talking about the actual investable aide of this. This is why people like you should stay away from giving advice and hyping this market up without doing your research.
      Collectibles have NEVER retained value permanently. If you need evidence, go look at the antique and collectible toy market currently. Its crashing, hard.
      The same toy market people thought would be around forever.
      Its evident you have no idea what a speculators market is.
