I was there, in Vegas, when they won their last Major. It was the only time I ever attended a CS event, but man, it was spectacular! Sat behind Neo's wife in the Polish section. *grown man tears*
In Vegas, it wasn't major. But it was big big torunament that's for sure, where VP plowed Astralis for taking shit on Twitter after major that took place in Atlanta.
I remember how people were saying how Astralis deserved that win. They sure did, they've put a lot of hard work into their team, no doubt. But on that day, they've wounded the pride, spirit and legacy of VP, and I wish that could've been avoided. VP realized that they've grown too old and younger players are just better than them, despite their tremendous experience. They were simply faster, with better reflexes, not having much to lose, and better coordinated as a team. What angers me the most, Astralis went to dominate in next majors, even back to back. If they lost that day to VP, they'd come back a year later and nothing would happen. However, for VP that match was everything. Life sometimes just isn't fair. VP definitely deserved more to get that 1st on that day, if at least for the last time before retiring.
@@_Killkor to be fair, while a loss in such fashion must've definitely hurt, they literally stomped astralis the next time they played against them. what's the most likely cause of the team's demise is the mercedes which was promised to taz of all people. pasha said in an interview that it obviously hurt them, they all thought "why is it just him that gets a reward?", and neo specifically was said to have been really saddened by that occurence. pasha went on to say that neo basically outright told them that he lost his drive to play, and since he was their brains on the server, you can kind of see why it all went to shit from there

I'm Polish, but that's not why I loved VP. It was the individualism on a scale not seen in any other team. Especially Snax crazy ideas that somehow worked... mostly. Pasha's sneaks and knife kills. And the range of their highs and lows made watching them very emotional experience. At times, they played like noobs. Moments later, they beat Fnatic full buy with hard eco. There are better teams in teams of strategy or technique, but I don't see any other playing in that kind of emotional and spontaneous game in major tier.

after when vp won the major, they started doing bad not because they didnt frag enough, if you did your research, youd know that taz got gifted a mercedes and no one else did in the team, so there relationship was ruined after that, cause the team members didnt like him after that, and the rest is history.
