I love your videos!! Could you do one for people who can’t choose their schedule? Maybe how to apply your tips when you can’t control your work hours, or when you only have half an hour to eat and can’t relax anymore until you get home at night. I don’t even relax in lunch break because I have to eat with other people and as an introvert that drains me. And then when I get home I have to take care of stuff at home like cleaning, cooking, laundry, organizing, etc. I also can’t do the pomodoro technique at work, I just can’t take those breaks. Any tips on how to balance that? And how to do restorative tasks when you don’t have days off? I work two jobs and I used to have only Sunday mornings off but I had to catch up with laundry and cleaning. Maybe you have some tips for how to apply all this with less flexibility? Thank you!! I love your videos 🥰
Planning accommodations for both your aspirational self and your potato self is so important. Another thing I've found is how common to imagine an impossible aspirational self, which ends up being self-sabotaging. For example, my clients tend to have an aspire toward being a person who is able bodied when they actually have chronic illnesses and disabilities. Measuring themselves against an able-bodied aspiration holds them back from being their ACTUAL best selves. Great video as always. Thank you!
GREAT VIDEO MICHELLE!!! YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!! I NEED TO SPEND TIME READING MY CAR & TRUCK MAGAZINES. SPEND TIME MAKING UPGRADES TO MY NISSAN FRONTIER. SO I WILL LOVE LIFE AGAIN. AND WORK ON MY BUSSINESS. OTHERWISE I WORK MY LIFE AWAY. WITH NO RESULTS AND NO MOTIVATION. JUST WORK AND SLEEP. HOW DULL IS THAT LIFE. I AM CREATED FOR SO MUCH MORE!!!
I stopped thinking about time as linear and now I have programed myself to believe I manage my day to achieve the best I can do. It's worked. P.s. START A PODDDCCASSTT PLLEASSEE 💛💛💛
I love and needed Step 1!! I suffer from severe chronic pain so I am going to start doing this with my pain levels! I feel frustrated when I can’t do anything on my Level 9-10 pain days (which have been my normal days the past couple years) and this will help eliminate the crazy expectations i have sometimes!
*I know you are tired.* *But so they are.* *One more step.* *You didn't come this far to only come this far.* *The dream is still there.* *One more step.* I believe in you, keep going. 🖤
I love the idea of scheduling high and low energy tasks according to your energy levels in a day and to make sure to do some energizing tasks as well - but: I have absolutely no power to decide what I want to work on next in my job. As that should be the case for many poople, maybe you could consider to give some advice for people who cannot structure their own work day?
Getting to know yourself, what works for you and what doesn’t, it’s key. What works for one person may not work for you. Discover what really works and pushes you to get [it] done. From a self love content creator to another creator; beautifully said Muchelle! ❤️
Enjoying this shift in the productivity world that is kinder and more accommodating to the human experience. ❤️ we should work with who we are instead of working against ourselves. Habits are morally neutral until you assign good and bad to it. Enjoyed the vid 💯
This really resonated with me. I'm self employed and work from home, which is such a privileged position to be in but it does mean that you have to be entirely self motivated; apart from client deadlines there is very little external accountability. My sleep and energy levels are soooo up and down at the minute. Previously I would have got up later than I planned because I had a crap night's sleep and procrastinate until it was to late to get anything done without working late and risking another crap night of sleep. Now on days like this I just do *something* because something, no matter how small, is better than nothing and gets me a tiny step closer to where I need to be. This whole video is full of great advice and I love the idea of the if-then approach, as well as batching tasks by energy levels. Great advice 👍🏻
This video came at the right moment. I'm gonna implement planning my day around my energy levels, rather then what I think I should do first. So slow mornings, and productive afternoons. Also I love the idea of restorative work. I'm gonna totally do that.
@Sophie S 100% agreed. I‘ve lived and worked in several countries and this is not just a US issue for sure - although you‘re right that the lack of social security is particularly difficult in the USA. Although “productivity gurus“ all seem to fall into this trap that you mentioned, at least the ones that I‘ve been watching - which doesn’t mean their content is not useful, but it’s definitely less relatable to the “average joe“ per se.
This was so helpful! Thank you :) I just quit my job to pursue starting a business and creativity full time, and your channel is so relatable and inspiring! Thank you for your fantastic and aesthetically pleasing content :)
Omg, Thank you soo much for this this my Lovee !! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THISS !! This is so beautifully explained !! I really needed thiss babe !! I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH MY ANGEL !! SENDING YOU LOADS OF LOVEE, BLESSINGS AND HUGS !! ❤️❤️❤️🦋
Identifying what matters the most to you is definitely important when it comes to time management. That way, we can know what to put our most time and energy on. Great video! :)
I love your videos! I can tell you put a lot of work into them and they take a lot of time so thank you so much! You make me feel like I can do things even when I lie in bed all day, and after I watch one of your videos I feel super motivated and I actually get up to do stuff! ❤️
Hi! I love this topic, it's something that I need to figure out a little more in my life. I honestly feel like I'm really tired most of the time, and it's pretty hit or miss on if doing something "productive" will strain me further or help energize me, I've been having some trouble figuring out which tasks do what for me. I'll be sure to watch the "when" video you linked, I think that will help me think this through!
This video is worth it but only for an entrepreneur or a creator. As an average job working person mostly your boss decides what you have to do that day, They don't think about your energy level or what shit happening in your life. How much you feel low if your boss wants it immediately you have to do it. That why most people pissed off after their job and find escape after job hours in alcohol or smoke.. I wish every company consider this. Nice video.
What do you advice for people that have a couple of days of low energy tasks followed by many days with high energy tasks? Because of nature of the projects, I can't change that structure. Sure, there are some low energy task during high energy fases, but not that many. And after 6 hours I just can't think anymore, but I have no 2 hours of low energy task
Good question. I feel like some videos like this are geared towards the self-employed. A lot of people don't get to pick what tasks they start their days with.
I thought the same. I love her videos, she makes great context but she seems to speak faster every day. I played the film at 0.75 speed and it was much easier to follow. Slow down Michelle!! And keep the good work :-)
There was a bit of a delay this week but we're here - enjoy - I appreciate you v much! 🥰
It’s totally fine!
Appreciate you more
This video is a masterpiece, so beneficial, thank you Michelle ❤️

So in love with your content, it’s been invaluable for me as a mentally ill young adult that really struggles to be “Type A”, thanks Michelle!
This makes so much more sense than *just* focusing on the time.
Your advices and tips are just so good and unique every single time!!
It's really tough when you can't pick your own hours or your breaks.

Amazing video..thank you so much! I often don't plan in the days when things go awry and then get frustrated when I am burnt out..makes complete sense
Great points thanks. Sometimes deadlines etc. just doesn't allow the flexibility but I think at least most of this can be done.
Love the idea of ranges for goals when you feel different.
Hi just stumble upon your channel and finding the answer that I need. Thankyou sooo much.
Love this! I like the timer technique on tough days when I feel like I just need to "get stuff done" but don't have a ton of motivation.
This was so helpful! Thank you :) I just quit my job to pursue starting a business and creativity full time, and your channel is so relatable and inspiring! Thank you for your fantastic and aesthetically pleasing content :)

Hello, I loved the video a ton, the input and the aesthetics are amazing. I just feel like it is a little bit too dark in terms of lighting.
100% my usual dslr was malfunctioning so I’m using a different camera and lens here - hope to get the quality back to normal soon!!

I thought the same. I love her videos, she makes great context but she seems to speak faster every day. I played the film at 0.75 speed and it was much easier to follow.
Slow down Michelle!! And keep the good work :-)
Hey, you’re pretty and your videos are amazing but you talk too fast
This is an amazing video!! Thank you!
Such great advice ! Defo love the tip on having different levels of goals if you’re not feeling as energised!! Will absolutely do this !!
