If not, arguable THE BEST EVER. Jericho called him the Wayne Gretzky of wrestling. Kurt Angle said nobody else he worked with would bring it like Benoit did. Hunter had so much respect for him that he put him over at Mania 20 and at that time it was rare to get a clean win over Hunter. Benoit is possibly innocent too.

    • @Expose-All-Lies
      @Expose-All-Lies 11 месяцев назад +9

@akgstone I agree with everything you said except the possibility innocent. This case was thoroughly investigated and that was the conclusion of the cops and investigators. He had no enemies and ALL his fellow wrestlers liked him. Never heard another wrestler speak bad about him.
His finishing move was the flying head butt off the top rope. And he probably did that move thousands of times in his career. And he always made it look as real as anyone that ever did that stunt. If Jake the Snake had 3 concussions a year wrestling, Benoit probably had 30 a year. His brain was mushed and he snapped. Sad, but true.

@@Expose-All-Lies There's no denying Benoit had CTE. No doubt there at all. But let's look at some very very eary suspicious things.. The alcohol cans laying around, the extremely awkward text messages Benoit sent with his address. Chavo said Benoit would never do that. The Dogs being accidentally left outside. SULLIVANS AND NANCYS 10 YEAR DIVORCE ANNIVERSARY HAPPENS ON THE DAY EXACTLY!? Some weirdo posting Nancy passed away on wiki.. they never found out who. My Theory: Kevin Sullivan got his revenge. Benoit had his doors open so there wasn't forced Entry. Too bad no neighbors had outdoor footage. This was a hit my friend

He never connected on the flying head butt and neither did dynamite. If you watch closely their hands are covering the bumps. If they actually connected neither man would be able to walk out of the ring. Nancy's sister said Nancy was in an abusive relationship. Go from there.

I remember watching WrestleMania 20 as a young kid & I remember seeing Chris Benoit force Triple H to tap out in the middle of the ring in the main event to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Then, I watched him celebrate his win with his best friend & WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero in the ring with confetti falling down, which became my all time favorite WrestleMania moment. Back to Benoit, he truly was one of the best wrestlers I've ever seen in my life. It really is a shame the way things had gone down. I'm not making any excuses for Chris & I'm not defending him by all means. But he too was suffering & I know that deep down, he loved his family & he wouldn't have done the things that he did if he had a normal & healthy functioning brain.

not just the diving headbutt which he went to the limit with but that 3+ german suplex set he would do you have to think is repeated head trauma in quick succession.

Chilling to think about how eerily quiet the inside of the house was, prior to the neighbor/authorities discovering that crime scene. Only sounds that would have been heard during that time, were the periodic muffled sounds of dogs barking in the yard, and the occasional scratching at the door, begging to be let inside.
Those same sounds, surrounded by that silence, that ultimately went unnoticed until the neighbor showed up and opened the door to the house.

@@matthewbowman9472 I agree with you, Matthew. When I had read what Jaycee said, I could tell that she thinks a bit like myself, for her to have said what she did.
I just didn't know if I "wanted to go there" in explaining what I have also believed......in the sounds and in the ether of that abode during those 48 - 72 hours before a living person walked into that home and discovered that scene.
There are *two different ways* one can look at this IMO. #1 - If it all went down *EXACTLY* like they believed it did.....with Chris being the one responsible.
But even *MORE* chilling and terrifying would be Scenario #2 - If Chris didn't do this. If he didn't.....I believe there *were TWO OTHERS* involved.
When this had went down and I learned of it. FYI - I knew of the dudes name, I knew he was a wrestler.....but I had never seen him etc. I stopped watching wrestling around 86-87....maybe a tad bit of 88 and that was it. But when I learned about Benoit and the back story of Sullivan etc. etc. - something....I don't know....I just didn't believe Chris did this the way they said.
I'll just leave it at that. For now. Maybe tomorrow or later, I'll expound a bit more on it. But indeed, I can *PROMISE* you this much, Matthew. You wouldn't have even wanted to have been sitting even one step inside of their fence on the early evening/late evening of the first life lost.
If you would have just been sitting on the ground inside of their fence line when this started.....no matter what scenario truly happened. You or anyone would have sensed and FELT and possibly *seen* 'things' encompassing (IMO) the outer borders of that abode when the killing started to happen.

Do you actually think that Benoit was this wild, concussed psychopath who was a murderer (that the media portrayed him after this crime) while he was wrestling weeks or even months before the incident in June 2007? He was not. The brain can go into that mode instantaneously and you will have another tragedy like the Chris Benoit one, if it even was him, which I still have my doubts. Nobody knows the whole story but triggers have been known to set people off. Being a professional wrestler has it's pressures of course. Raising a child with disabilities is joy but much stress is involved. Stress and also demands on Chris both physically and financially. Woman or Nancy was a star in the business at one point. Very much involved with top stars. Flair, Sullivan, Benoit, she was as popular as any valet or female manager in the business. Other popular women in her position, Elizabeth, Sunny, Sable, and others, none went off married, had a son with a disability, and then found themselves stuck at home with a full time traveling wrestler/husband. That got old. Let me say this, as sweet and kind as everyone remembers both Chris and Nancy, they didn't treat each other that way. They put demands on each other. You can imagine what those were. Wasn't a storyline storybook marriage, white picket fence thing. Maybe in the beginning but the newness wore off. You have to love the whole person not just part of them or just the good times or the sex. Chris did not run things in WWE but rather he was a thing. A commodity, for the business. Nancy was now a stuck at home off the road mother of a sweet son with a disability. Along with Chris' undetected brain and other issues something gave way that got beyond the personal control he was willing to exercise. A combination of things. Nancy didn't deserve this but she ended up part of the pressure and demands she made. Their son was sadly an innocent victim of course, kids most always are. Divorce, etc., kids suffer. Adults have wants and needs and they often stop putting their children first and themselves come first. Drugs, alcohol, a part of an adult coming first. Ask slick Ric Flair if his family or wrestling came first. He laughs about all his ex-wives now. Can't put a finger on one thing, more of a build up over time that reached a breaking point. But, in retrospect there were obvious signs. Describing your spouse as acting like Hitler is very well one of them IMO.

It's just a very sad thing that happened. I just looked at Chris Benoit as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time who had a Hall of Fame career ahead of him. I know I'm probably gonna get a lot of heat for saying this, but I don't think that he knew what was doing until it already happened. I'm not going out of my way to defend his actions, but Jake said it best here, his brain was scrambled. I'm not saying that to defend his actions by all means. But deep down, I know that Nancy & Daniel would still be alive today if Chris had a normal/healthy brain. Plus, a lot of wrestlers have gone out & said that Benoit was not the same again after Eddie Guerrero passed away in '05.

I think the time Eddie Guerrerro died, it broke down Chris mentally and in a huge way. Probably a massive use of roids and look at the last few flying headbutts he performed. I thought in-ring seizures were totally real at last.

He did it bro. He was well liked by all the wrestlers and had no enemies. All the brain damage he accumulated over his wrestling career is what made him snap. The freaking flying head butt off the top rope 100's and 100's of times screwed up his head and made him snap. If someone else were to had killed him, his wife and his kid, the police would have found the murderer. They said all the evidence was that it was a murder suicide. Sometimes police lie, but not in this case.

Cris Benoit was at the Lakewood Mall signing autographs in a comic store in 2005. I was excited to meet him waiting in line. But it cost $35 dollars to meet him. I wasn't sure if I could afford to spend the money at the time so I stepped out of the line. I can see Cris signing autographs too in all his glory. Then suddenly something took over me. I had this strong urge to write on a piece of paper with my name on it and number saying, If you like some good spiritual knowledge call me." But I never made it to him so I left the mall. Some time later Cris killed his wife kids and himself or was murdered. It always weighs on my conscience that happening.

Brain was scrambled but it's not evidence that he did it and can't be used in court of law... Its as good as claiming someone murdered someone because they only had one eye ball... I'm not saying he didn't do it because he sure on the hell could have but I get sick and tired of hearing that he did this because bod brain damage when there are so many other pro wrestlers and athletes who have had many concussions over the years just like Chris and never killed a single human being...

Benoit was one of the most likable wrestlers in the history of the sport. No one would have done that to him, his wife, and his kid. And if someone would have tried, there would have been signs of a fight. He probably had 100's of concussions in his career. His brain was gone. It sucks to admit, but he 100% did it. He just wasn't in his right state of mind.
