So happy brother Al is getting all of this attention.
This is the beautiful thing about sampling. Now more people know about this classic!
0:29 kendrick's sample to 6 16 in LA.
I'm a hip hop millennial but I remember, when I was a young child, that my parents used to play Al Green in the tape deck in our old car when we'd be going out of town. Love & Happiness is one of his most popular songs but I've always loved it.
This guy just makes me cry when I hear him. There's no one who's voice moves me like his does. And I grew up in and around music in the 1960's.
Feel the same way love me some AL😍
Trust me I feel you 💯
Same! Grew up on the 80s & 90s My Dad played it
His voice breaks your heart.
The type of music that feels like warm arms to hold you and protect you and love you.
Al Green brings life to music.
Shay shay that's the gift he shares with his fans all of us.

Hope you are still with us Dear Lady
Uuuhui 😮x😂😂😂
I was down and out living in my van until Kendrick brought me here back in 2024 and now I own a Fortune 500 company and have a thriving family and work life balance.
This is also the original sample of Big Mike's song PLAYA PLAYA on Rap-A-Lot records back in 1994. Check it out. Coincidence that Kendrick would use a sample that one of J Prince's artist used? Hmmm 🤔
Manifest it, that's what I'm talking about! Don't forget to come back and read your comment lol.
Kendrick has an old soul , 2 legends
This song of Al Green touch my heart, especially going to Branson Missouri with my sister Latasha Dale Warren, when going through Arkansas to Branson Missouri you need to play Al Green all the way through, it's all good. Thank you Al Green for making feel loved and want to live in truthness.
I love your mi

I remember my Mom playing this on the vinyl album, she still has it… over 50 years later. 🙏🏽 #2024 😎 Thankyou Kendrick. 🎙️🎚️
I'm glad more and more people are actually going back and figuring out where samples are from. That's one of the most beautiful thing about hip-hop, that for awhile has been forgotten about by fans. Always love figuring out what my favorite tracks start off as.
Summer sunset on the deck, sky all purple, orange, wind blowing softly leaves rustling...a glass of chilled wine and some Al Green❤
That's sounds so sweet and beautiful altogether .
One of these nights🍹🍹 So I'm My Feelings💕💕💕

Thankyou to my momma for having such good taste ❤
A legend. Let's run the views up as deserved
This is just a phenomenal song and Al Green doesn't get the flowers he deserves. The GOAT OF SOUL
They used to call him the "crowned prince of soul."
It’s cool Kendrick got the younger generation playing this song 🔥🔥🔥
This song puts a silly smile on my face. This song reflects an era that was simply beautiful. Al Green sang that too, Simply Beautiful.

Say That !
You better go to your room, with that smartness!
Been bumping this joint before 6:16 in LA haha
Al, love is a wonderful thing, and you sang this song so wonderfully.
"Wetted my pillow but uh, ya see, I don't uh, I don't mind." That was a Baptist preacher cadence if there ever was one!! His future job was predicted!!✝️❤
That flow with these lyrics is crazy
It’s just spot on! Now run and tell that!! And you know this! AWB (not Average White Band neither!)
I thank my uncle fred Newell for playing al green, Bobby Womack, Bobby blue bland on those road trips to Milwaukee and Chicago. The music education was a blessed event.today these songs havent aged I have but the memories of Al green singing to us as we cruise in that triple white Lincoln w/ the suicide doors and drop top! When being black meant more than to us then, and the music always made us feel like we have to share it and have a spontaneous party and everyone chipped in,when love was real and these brothers helped us express it through their songs! Man have we lost our way!! Show more love today, take hate and bury it! Listen to the message" oh what a wonderful thing love is"!!
KENDRICK BROUGHT ME TO THIS CLASSIC

Still rocking this after all these years. Early 70s.40 plus years later. This is still that shit
Say that stuff!
Oh my, if this song don't make you feel like you just want to tell your woman how much you love her!!! Road trips with my uncle fred to Milwaukee and chicago in that drop top Lincoln, man I miss those days of discovering, feeling so proud to hear this music playing on that 8-track, and being young and not a care in the world!! "A seventies baby 4-ever!! So,so, blessed!!!
Simply….. AFFECTIONATE AND BEAUTIFUL ♥️💕❤️💋💋💋🙏🏿💋
I’m not a seventy’s baby but Mr. Green truly does it for me! Amirah Watkins-Brown
Kendrick is bridging generational gaps. I still remember when Teena Marie sampled this when she signed to Cash Money back in the day.

RIGHT ON !!!!!!!!!!!
I remember my mom and dad playing this LP, when it dropped in 1972. They divorced a year later. They never realized the impact this LP had on me, as a 7 year old. I treasure it so much, to this day. Al Green is just a pure Soul singer. Even when I was in my twenties, his music consoled me.
Happy Birthday to the Jolly Green Giant! 75 years young & still able to sing these gems in the same key! The undisputed male vocal champion of this world- still. Thanks so much for that game changing audio body of work provided by you, the greatest rhythm section ever- the Hi Rhythm Section- & the fellow genius who laid it all down- on 4 tracks(!)-Mr. Willie Mitchell (RIP).
Let’s get it to 2 million.
One of the greatest singers that ever lived. My mama and daddy us to listen to this music and now my kids and grandkid listen and know all the words.

Omg every word is true walking the floor This song sounds like Yesterday I wish I could see him in concert again One day 😂💕
Sometimes God do something special how wonderful love is
Best way to start a day with a coffee and this masterpiece. 6:16 AM, Shanghai, China.
Thank you Kendrick!
My favorite part about sampled music is that it opens me up to hearing music by artists I have never heard of. This song is beautiful.
R & B in the early 1970's was incredibly good!! LPs produced during that period were done with such care, precision and quality! Al Green, the Stylistics, Main Ingredient,
Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, the Spinners and so many others, produced albums where literally every track was so well done! They didn't believe in filler tracks and
we continue to benefit from their diligence 50 years later! As far as I know, this selection was never a hit, but you can't tell me it couldn't have been!!!
Yes it could
Yes it could [2]
Grew up with Al green every weekend barbeque and Al lovely
Yes Indeed
TY KENDRICK, This is ART, HI FROM PERUUUUUU

Man shut up, you lying mutha f....! Al did not hang out in no damn Detroit fool! Al is from the deep south dummy, and know this for fact because I TALKED to Al when I was doing executive protection inside is home! So stop it!
GOD MY CONFESSION IS YOURS!!!
No one interprets a song like Al Green.
Al Green is one of my all time favorites. I used to listen to him on repeat as a teen. Nice to see his music has been sampled. Lamar has good taste.
I believe God ordained Al Green to sing to us about love and making dreams come true, love is the greatest thing .❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅
😅
Glad KDot introducing or reintroducing many to a timeless classic and legend
