I saw Miley and Melanie's backyard performance several years ago and was so thrilled with it that I went back and found all the Melanie songs I grew up with and loved so much. I'm truly sorry to hear that Melanie passed. She brought such joy to so many of us. Fifty-two years ago, on a Friday night during a light rainfall, I had what I can only describe as a religious experience during Melanie's performance at the Woodstock Festival. I was fifteen and not on any drugs. I'm sure that I was not the only one. A half-a-million people there and you could hear a pin drop that night.There was no rowdiness or people screaming during performances. .Melanie, if you ever come across this: Thank You.

Melanie! I grew up in Massachusetts and in about ‘98 my moms friend Laura Dickey showed me your music. Laura is from Texas. She ended up doing my hair for my prom. All these years have passed (I’m 30 now) and your music STILL touches me. Your voice is gorgeous and STRONG. Just like you. I love you Melanie!
Born in '67 and don't quite remember Woodstock, but I love and listen to all of Melanie's songs. Always too good. Your Woodstock footage gives me goosebumps. Pure talent!
