Well not that simple. We are talking about the reels that make possible the Big Game on light tackle. Daiwa Saltiga 18k + Centaur 84M ( the Combo weights 1,5 kg and allows you to fish on 130 Lbs class)
@stew-03 if it's possible buy Saltiga since is smooth and very hard. Is very good for tuna I have 2 now, 18kh y 18kp. PE#6-10. and both catched fish Up 80 kilos even more. You just change.
What I like about the Shimano drag sound is that they made it so it reverberates and resonates within the spool. Most other reels just click for the sake of clicking.
Thank god for Daiwa fanboys like me that they've seemed to copy that super audible and tactile sensation of the Shimano drag on any Daiwa models from 2023 and newer.
@@xplicitfishin I have newer model Daiwas too. Not the higher end ones though. The lower end ones have a big more clink than before, but they're not as loud or chimey as Shimano, unfortunately.
lol yeah right how could you take a gosa over a twin power that’s insane I have both an a Stella the gosa is nice but it can’t compare with the twin power or Stella sorry
Anything with that metallic bell-like ping most definitely, but as many have stated, any reel drag getting peeled off is one of the greatest sensations
@unni.m1959 imo, even though I don't have a 2K combo, there is a difference. I upgraded from a 30 dollar Shimano FX to a 200 dollar Shimano Stradoc CI4 like 10 years ago. The FX gave me 3 good years, but the Stradic is still going strong despite fishing it in conditions way beyond what it was meant to do. For me, it's about dependability and durability. A higher end reel will remain smooth and dependable for many years if you take good care of it.
@@unni.m1959it’s usally much lighter and depending on how bad your combo rly is much less clunky. And the reels will handle the elements like salt water and sand better. I’d recommend an ugly stick tiger elite and a good real something with lots of dragm and pretty smooth I use Kast king sharky III or kask king megatron. That combo is about $150 a rod spooled with braid and we’ve used them for almost 6 years now on our boat and they have caught a 45+ inch striper and a 42 inch snook and there still running good. Their reels definitely aren’t anything special. But for $50-$60 bucks your getting a reel much better then a cheap $100 penn or Shimano. 30 something pounds of drag on there 6000’s 10 bb. For the price and what you get it’s wanna of the best combos. And the tiger elite rod is much nicer and lighter than a normal ugly stick. For me that setup is perfect about 90% of the time. Id only get a $300 reel if we were offshore fishing for like tuna or if I surf fished frequently. I’ve used nice Shimano and diawa stuff and I have 3 custom rods I’ve built but seriously all you need is the combo I stated above and I guarantee you’ll be fine. If you wanna splurge, splurge on the reel, get a nice Shimano.
@@unni.m19591k combo isn't all that high end, definitely still in the range where you get significant return for your money, a reel with top end components will be 400-600, really good rods start around 250, in the 500-1000 range is where you will probably find your dream. The reel is more important for landing fish though, if you really fish hard you will know the difference but to be fare most never push their tackle enough to find out, but if you do... basically high end reels land fish other reels can't handle, high end rods are able to be good at helping you fight the fish while being great casters and just fun to fish, though that only matters on PE6 and above, below any rod that casts the lure will be able to land the fish cause you're strong enough to max it out even if it doesn't really support you, usable low3r price rods always sacrifice to be able to do it all, while true high end ones(when I say high end I mean actual high end stuff, not marketed up mid to bottom tier gear) while being a bit of a compromise excel at both
That really depends on where you're fishing and what baits you're throwing. The 7' would definitely not be the best choice. The 8' could be if the fish are close enough to shore, but longer is probably going to be best. A St. Croix Seage or Legend Surf would be perfect with a van staal VR150 or 200
The one that sounds like how a bicycle bell ringed on a brisk Christmas morning would sound if my father loved me enough to get me one…or, u know, come back home? It’s been 8yrs, Papa??? I miss you 😔
I have a Team Daiwa Advantage from around 2010 that i have consistently praized as the best drag sound iver the years. It has that hollow tinny sound similar to the Van Staal
Tbh my favorite sounding reel is a light reel. A lews mach. The whole waterfront knows you're on. Anybody know of and other light reels that have a loud drag? Looking for a new one...my clicker ran out and I lost the piece
Is making the sound off the spool the thinner is louder and the thicker one so much quite. The spring in side is different also to change the sound. 🤔 I like a thick spool and a strong spring in side the drag to click loud.
Lots of good sounding drags there I like the authority, twin power, saltiga, vanford, spinfisher, spheros and saragos. The saltiga was very unique compared to the others deffently liked the deeper more solid click.
Twinpower and Feshwater Stella and especially the Van Staal X2 were my favorites, though in real(reel) live I adore the saltiga drag, that said the Spinfisher VI and Saragossa were strong contenders too
I was smiling throughout the video then I realised how simple we as men are, simple things make us happy

That van staal x2 made me feel something special brother
Anything with that metallic bell-like ping most definitely, but as many have stated, any reel drag getting peeled off is one of the greatest sensations
I like the ones that sound like a little kids bicycle bell. It makes me feel young again.
Ayo.
That price tag will too 😂
I love the sound of any drag being peeled off. But those van stalls sound the best
As long as it’s working and smooth and you catch a big one, they all sound music in ya ears!
Well said bro 😅😅
It's doesn't matter how much money your reels cost, expensive or economy,as long it catch and land some fish 🤣🤣
Van Staal, Spinfisher and Seragosa sound like bells, one of those
Really like that VSv2. Sounds like an old-timey telephone.
"ILL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK!"
Sold!
The first van staal lol I love a bell tone
I love it when a $30 combo out fishes the people with the 3000 dollar combo
As someone never used such high price fishing equipments, I'm asking what r the advantage a 2 , 3 thousand dollar combo bring ?

It's all fun and games until salt water splashes into the housing, or you hook a big pelagic. Cheap reels aren't bad, they're just easy to break.
Love that metallic drag clicker!
Saltiga and Twin Power are best
Saltiga , what a beautiful music ❤️
Saltiga! Premium clicker sound!
I love the drag sound on Shimano reels
I'm an Okuma fan, but that Van Stahl X2 is like music.
Would like to see some line wrapped around and pulled, tends to give them a better sound. Hands down I like all the shimanos and the saltiga
The comment that i was looking for. Hands absorbing sound of reels
Shimano Saragosa SW sounds good followed by the Van Staal X2
Diawa saltiga nothing like landing a cow ( striped bass ) and hear that drag screaming best gear ratio too
I like the stradic drag sound... For real..
DAIWA ALWAYS DAIWA!!!
all the shimanos are great, twin powers are the best i think.
Van staal hands down, spinfisher second lol
I second that one, subtle just enough to know a fish is taking your line!
That Shimano bell sound is beautiful.
I'm a shimano guy but the staals sound amazing!
Which reel would be the best for big beach snook and tarpon ??? On a 7ft rod or should I get a 8 or 9 ft Rod let me know a good setup plz

That Van Stall X2 was something 😮 man oh man I enjoyes this video
That Saltiga was pretty crisp, like a bike hub.
That daiwa ballistic sounded so good for some reason
That van steal x2 sounds really nice
They all sound amazing.
Damnnn, i hope someday I'll have the money to have one of thia reels ❤

Shimano Stella ❤🎉
Daiwa Saltiga ❤🎉
Man I gotta say that new Penn authority takes the win with the Saltist close second
All the above ...
Tight lines 🙏
Stratic was sexy but I feel like the first van staal had more stability and solid life partner vibes.
Do this with baitcasters/ line counters
My personal favorite for drag sound is the daiwa accudepth, its just so iconic
I like the noise of the van stall the third one he showed and the twin power XD and saltiga
That van staal sounded sick
Penn Wrath II is forever a core memory for me lol
Congratulations brotha!! The last fish I caught was a 52 pound striped bass…on a 4000 sized reel!!
I have a Team Daiwa Advantage from around 2010 that i have consistently praized as the best drag sound iver the years. It has that hollow tinny sound similar to the Van Staal
Vanford has to be my favorite when you have a big fish on it’s so freaking loud
The VanStaals sound like they are made of the hardest metal, for what it’s worth
Any drag for me , I love that sound , means a big one on the other end RIPPIN' line, no better sound 👍
Tbh my favorite sounding reel is a light reel. A lews mach. The whole waterfront knows you're on. Anybody know of and other light reels that have a loud drag? Looking for a new one...my clicker ran out and I lost the piece
Are there any spinning reels with a clicker sound when you’re reeling? I know Mitchell made a real years ago that did that.
caught between the VSX2 and the Saragosa for me
Most satisfying sounds in the universe😊
All the Shimanos sound good. I have every one of them. Daiwas to quite. Vs probably 2nd best , Penn 3rd , daiwa 4th

SALTIGA ALL THE WAYYYY
Saragosa
I literally bouythe shimano nasci because of how the drag sounds. Love it
I can't stop watching this. It's hypnotic 😅💪 🎣
the first one is just make eargasm
Bet you can make a Christmas song with all those sounds
All of the above

The diawa saltigo just sound like it’s from and old clock from and old video game it’s so nostalgic
Lots of good sounding drags there
I like the authority, twin power, saltiga, vanford, spinfisher, spheros and saragos.
The saltiga was very unique compared to the others deffently liked the deeper more solid click.
I’ve always loved my Stradics. I especially loved the Ci4s.
Saragosa the best drag sound..😊
Van stal vs 😂 the timber on my bike😂😂😂
I’ve always used older gen spin fishers for mackerel fishing and that noise is amazing and my favorite

That last one 🎉
The TwinPower XD for sure!
That last shimano was krazy
Van Staal sure knows how to make a reel man
Twin power just hits different
