I had an MPC 1000. With the horrible stock pads. I sold it and I switched to Ableton. I will never buy another AKAI product again. But now I discovered Koala Sampler. I now have the best MPC ever made
@@johnviera3884 it’s nice to find the gear that works for you. Most of these samplers are like marmite, you love them or hate them. I’ve said it many times but there is no best.. just what works for you! 👍
Koala is literally one of the best things to happen to beatmaking and sound design PERIOD! Especially when it comes to the 404 mk2 integration. My old mpc will always have a specail place in my heart. It's just at the point that any reapairs would cost more than what it's worth.
@@nkosiedwards3796 He keeps leaving that same comment on videos about the 1000. Apparently he had a blue one with bad pads as his first MPC and let one bad experience ruin his use of a great line of samplers. Also, if he's been making music since 1992, why would he wait until 2005 to get an MPC? He should try a 2000xl instead of hating.
If they were free from MPC stuff you won’t pay import tax. But I would love to know as I have nearly ordered them a few times and they ain’t cheap when shipping is added! 😢
I love that you keep doing 1000 videos! There arent many videos about them, and you are very knowledgeable.
@@js78910 thank you! 👍

It's interesting to see how the pad assembly looked on the old blue ones. I was luck enough to avoid it. I really want some of those fat pads.
@@jamisondonald384 definitely worth it. I love the feel of them. 👍
@@nervouscooks argh, $50+ though

Thank you! 👍
I’m planning to do the same and ordering pads from mpc stuff, question tho, what did you pay for import tax/fee?

you don't need the fat pads, you need the fat samples
