Ripping It Down And Starting Over

  • We decided to rip off the wood we put on the shipping container. After putting the rough cut board and batten on the top section, Dylan didn't like the way it looked. Instead we ripped it off and added a lap siding. However, not without a little bit of saw milling of course, because we ran out of rough cut lumber. That small change made a huge difference and now we can continue to work and create our dream homestead! Speaking of dream "modern" homestead, we had a crazy wind storm come through that knocked over a large oak tree. We used our Kubota tractor and chainsaw to clean up the yard.

This new side of you two is so refreshing. You teaching her is so fun to watch and she is doing so well learning and doing. I’ve been one to do all of our outside work, but a life changing surgery I recently had where I had to go to Emory University in Atlanta and we live just outside of Dothan brought me to teach my wife how to use the zero turn. She picked it up in 5 minutes. Now she is doing all of the outside work while I recover. I am so proud of my wife as you are of Molly. We just celebrated our 38th anniversary. My wife wants to know if you have a baby registry started yet. Can’t wait for the next video.

We’ve been having so much fun creating this new content and showing more of us working together! I (Molly) LOVE our zero turn! It was a bday gift Dylan bought me because I was so excited to cut the grass when we first bought our house🤣 Here’s our baby registry, but in no way feel any pressure to get anything! www.babylist.com/list/baby-molly-strachan

ALWAYS love it when one of your videos appears. You two work so well together and show how rewarding hard work can be. I like the 2nd attempt with the boards horizontal. Molly is an expert on that tractor but it is time for you to take it easy on all that lifting for awhile :)

*Dylan, Girls can do anything 🙂BTW, you are a very good teacher... taking your time to explain the mechanics of how it all went together. Plus when you do it yourself as it is explained, things sink in better to the brain. Molly well done you are hard working and so willing to learn.... you two work so well together 🙂.*

I know what that's like when something just doesn't feel right. Even though it was extra work, it was worth it to feel good about the job. I think everything turned out good in the end.

As a person who does 99% of the repairs at my house - live alone - I am a firm believer in couples cross training in everything. That means both ways. No his and her jobs that the other should not have some serious experience in doing. I am impressed with you two.

Too bad that you had to rip it down again, but at least you didn't finished it first, then take all down. Always a bright side to a problem. It's nice to see that you will acknowledge that you have a kick-ass wife, never take her for granted. She is smart, good sense of humor, hard worker, willing to learn, attractive, and the mother of your child. I'd say you got yourself the best life partner you can ask for. Wiating for the next vid.

Now, if you look what you had before looked really good and it didn't have gaps in between where you got the angles. The board's angle that downward angle. You got a gap in between on the ends and bees and wasp, and get upper in the attic area that you got made up her. Now you're gonna have to figure out how to seal the holes and the ends up. And make it look good
