I am currently in medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin! I used Kaplan to prepare for my MCAT, and it helped many of my aspects of studying - it is great that you have a discount code for students.
I wanted to go to med school but i am realistically not smart enough. I took a diagnostic just our of curiosity and only got a 493. I am testing in the 80th percentile currently on the LSAT soooo that is probably the route I am gonna go. Just wondering how much did Kaplan improve your score and where did you start out at?
@@shawnt5205 Hello! First off - kudos to you for going through the process at all - it is rigorous. Also congrats on the LSAT score! As far as the MCAT goes, Kaplan improved my score by about 30 points. I took a few practice tests with them and my scores went up a bit with each test. I really liked that the course let me focus on areas that were weaker and I could choose to not spend as much time on the concepts that I did not feel that I needed more help with. I started off not scoring well at all, easily bottom quarter percentile. Kaplan helps you figure out how the MCAT likes to ask questions, since that is arguably what makes the exam the hardest. Let me know if you have any other questions!

This review was very thorough and it helps make an informed decision on whether or not to invest in this course. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge! It's really great how you showed us the platform of the kaplan course, how it is utilized, what the live sessions look like, the comparison of all the packages and your professional opinion about the course. I really want to go to the UCF medical school! It is in my area and is nearby a children's hospital. This is especially helpful as I'd love to go into a pediatric specialty!
