    If there's anything I've learned from this video it's that there is NO right way to study for the MCAT. I did pretty much everything differently than what this video suggested and got a 99th percentile score! So while tips can help, the best way to study is what you think will work for YOU.

    I first felt skeptical about using memm since Med School Insiders advertised so much. HOWEVER, I gave it a try, and I can tell any penny I spent on memm is worthwhile. Memm is High quality with accurate information you can study to save tremendous time. I honestly felt that the creator of memm deserves any fortune or praise making MCAT easy to study for. I would suggest trying out their 7 day trial for the Biology subject. I am sure you will love it too!

    In my country there’s no such thing as MCAT but we do have a similar exam called ENURM (like many other latin american countries) that determines whether you get to be a resident or not. I have one year to study. Wish me luck!

    Dr. Jubbal,
    What would you recommend if you don’t have a good baseline of general knowledge from your classes (i.e slacking/cramming). How do you catch up or get that knowledge to begin with?

    • @libbeyhartung2797
      @libbeyhartung2797 2 года назад +15

      I had the same issue from my undergrad, I couldn’t remember hardly anything! I tried a couple of the comprehensive content book sets like the Berkeley review and the Princeton review but they’re too dense, take way too long to get through, and have too much low yield content. I think your best bet would be to use the exam krackers books to learn content and build and foundation, supplement with the memm study sheets and flash cards, and use Uworld for practice questions. Memm is such a great resource 100/10 recommend, you don’t realize how much of the content slips your minds a few weeks after studying it…memm’s algorithm makes sure you don’t forget any high yield concepts! Exam krarckers is also the best for learning the content because the books are less dense, more colorful, and much easier to read, I built a strong scaffold with those books. Taking my test April 8th so we’ll see if it pays off! Good Luck!

  • @ays.939

    Dr. Jubbal,
    I’m a high school senior nearing graduation and one thing I realized I should’ve done when studying was start on the first day of classes (study a bit every day after school, which you touched on in this video). I’ll be going on the premed track in college and while I know this method won’t be enough on its own, is it really a good and sufficient way to study? Do you recommend doing this on that first day of class onward?

    I have a question regarding ti the CARS section. You mention to do a solid 30 min 5 days a week of practice. Does that mean that I would have to do 3 passages a day ? or Do how many passages I can do within does 30 min ?

    I would like to say that, while I appreciate Med School Insiders video. The MCAT is only a small proportion about how medical schools view you. At the end of the day medical school just wanna know who you are as a person and what type of doctor you will be… it has nothing to do with how academically smart you are, or how well rounded you are. It’s all about you as the person. Sure the MCAT does play an important role if you want to get into a prestigious medical school such as Harvard, Jon Hopkins, etc. But I can tell you at the end of the day nobody cares where are you went to school. A doctor is a doctor. Nobody cares if you have an MDJD, MD, DO, Caribbean, etc. At the end of the day nobody cares. There is a lot of toxicity amongst premeds and I guarantee you it’s the ignorance at the end of the day that doesn’t get you into medical school. I’ve known people who have a 3.1 GPA and a 504 MCAT and STILL GET INTO MD SCHOOLS! Stop letting the MCAT define you as a person.
