The choreography for this scene is amazingly beautiful and breathtaking. I find myself quite comforted by this video when I am depressed and long to see something beautiful.
The classical choreography from Pepita & Tchaikosky does a better job conveying those emotions to me. Balanchine's is just so sloppy, rushed, stiff and lacking elegance. The choreography does'nt even match up with the orchestra, it looks like a child who just decided to pull out some random "ballet moves" while mocking ballet on the playground.

I wish I could dance like this! The ballerinas are so beautiful and they work so hard! Thank you ballerinas and Tchaikovsky for bringing such beauty and grace into the world.
So dainty and charming, like little flowers🌸 You'd never think behind such seemingly effortless grace, years of dedication, practice, precision, blood, sweat, tears has gone into producing such perfection 🩰
Majestic music with beautiful choreography. This is what little ones see in all its glory, & decide 'I'm going to be a ballet dancer'. I see the 'spectacle of beauty' I cannot keep my legs still, the dancer within is instinctual! The triangle, with the choreography, is such a delicate touch and so precious.
I know nothing about ballet, but was awed by this performance. The costumes are gorgeous. The stage setting is stunning. The choreography is out of this world and goes perfectly with Tchaikovsky's masterpiece. And of course all the performers are absolutely fantastic. Such an aesthetic feat. Really looking forward to watching this live in NYC someday.
I know what you mean. I remember sitting in the front row. And I was amazed seeing the orchestra pit up close. The first instrument I could easily see was the harp
I don't think the thumb-downers are people who just don't appreciate ballet. I think they are pros who don't like that the ballerinas a bit uncoordinated. I am not a ballerina, but I grew up with classical music and watched all the main ballets dozens of times when I was a kid. They are supposed to dance like one, not be all over the place. But I am giving it a thumb up for the beautiful music by the eternal Tchaikovsky. He was a basket case but look at the gifts he left behind.
The costumes are something otherworldly! How stunning is the movement in those fluffy tutus! They move effortlessly with the most gorgeous flash of color! 🩷💜
This is by far the best and liveliest rendition I've come across. Absolutely stunning. Each dancer performed wonderfully, especially the soloist. Every tiny move, every facial expression, simply everything was executed with such grace and beauty.
Tchaikovsky couldn't have put one more ounce of emotion into this piece, especially at 3:24- brings tears... These dancers are exquisite and convey the emotion perfectly ❤️

Cgmdwjv idas k eo o
this is the Dance of the FLOWERS not the SUGAR PLUM FAiRY!
@Andrew Murray pretty sure she was just saying that because fairys can fly and she looked weightless yknow?
@@andrewmurray1550 she's the dew drop fairy😊
I think I like the pink skirts the best
Absolutely flawless performance from Ashley. She is an incredibly energetic dancer that I always enjoy watching. Hope to see her performing for a long time to come!💓
Oh my lord that principle dancer is flawless, so sharp.
Everything. Absolutely everything is total perfection. Scenery, costumes, music, performance…..simply beautiful.
I love the soloists athleticism. Really fits the part. Like a flower jumping to life in the spring.
And so nice to see a ballerina with some meat on her legs! Go girlfriend!
Ballerina's by default have the most meat on their legs. They probably look skinny to you because they don't have anything else besides muscle. No fat
@@SS-ui7by ok. The Vaganova girls are so skinny they have no boobs whatsoever. These girls have enough meat to have some boob. And their thighs are thicker than my arm. That's the point I was making. I am a trained dancer myself. Ballet. Modern. Jazz. Musical theater. Single-point trapeze. I understand the point you were trying to make.
@@SS-ui7bywtf are u talking ab bruh
@@simone56689 the comment literally talks about ballerinas not usually having meat on their legs
@@boiledquarterz yea no shit I’m saying it’s not true dumb ahh
Love the lead's energy! Like, so hyper, but in a graceful, ballerina way? It just makes me smile!
This made me really happy today. Just wanted to share that. The music, the dancers, choreography, costumes, nostalgia of seeing this often when I was little... ❤️. I smiled while watching it.
The soloist is wonderful, she has just a beautiful feel
Ashley Bouder is amazing.
Ashley Bouder is just exquisitie. So expressive. And the corps is beautiful, costumes are beautiful, set is beautiful. This is what we want to see in the holidays. Visual sumptuousness and beautiful dancing. Color! Lights! Music! Fantastic.
What makes this video very special is that everyone is very happy and proud to participate in this production. I like this choreography a lot.
5:37 note the difference between the soloist and the corps the ballet - the soloist Ashley Bouder extends her arabesque noticeably longer while the rest of the ballerinas have already stepped into their tour jetés...it's small details like this and facial expressions and character etc. that make the soloist or prima stand out; kudos to every dancer here tho they all looked spectacular
z-arabesque - Mariupol, Melitopol, Herson.

BREATHTAKING!!!!! Every time l see "Waltz Of The Flowers" I remember the ballet lessons l asked for from toddlerhood to my teens that l was never allowed to have. This makes my dreams come true because when l watch this, l am her, on stage, the 17-year-old dancing queen from the 70's & dancing this is my crowning achievement!! For those who could & for those of us that danced in our hearts, this is Our Song!! 🎄💖🇨🇦☘️
😍 Yes! 🩰 Indeed it is! 🥰
The marvellous Ashley Bouder. Her flawless technique, combined with her amazing acting ability, equals an impeccable dance performance. A joyful and inspiring experience. Ashley is superb.
simply one of the most mesmerizingly beautiful displays of athleticism one is ever likely to behold
None other could be more beautiful than this! Thé waltz of the Flowers is the most beautiful of all flowers!
I think this is the best classical song from the nutcracker. It is such a beautiful song.
I’m not religious but I pray everyday I will be in waltz of the flowers and snow this upcoming nutcracker season. PLEASE! They’re both sooo beautiful 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I love how the lil kids are just chilling there talking
It’s a perfect song and this is a perfect rendition. God, it’s just beautiful
Ashley's dancing is fantastic! So sharp and precise and so fun to watch!
Oh my gosh the pink tutus!!!!! So gorgeous! 💕💕
IKR so pretty

😬😬😬 only of you like pink 🙈 If you don‘t, it hurts badly 😬
@@mathildewesendonck7225 whoa I love this song it is amazing. also pink my favourite color :)
I wish I could dance like this! The ballerinas are so beautiful and they work so hard! Thank you ballerinas and Tchaikovsky for bringing such beauty and grace into the world.
That main dancer in the beige was spectacular. Can not begin to imagine how difficult that is to pull off
I saw the full ballet at Lincoln Center when I was 8. Still love the music and one of my favorite memories 54 years later.
I see the 'spectacle of beauty'
I cannot keep my legs still, the dancer within is instinctual!
The triangle, with the choreography, is such a delicate touch and so precious.
such beautiful words!! you're so right!

I remember when I went to see the Nutcracker. Thanks 😊The most impressive thing was seeing the orchestra play live.👏🏻😃👍🏻
I know what you mean. I remember sitting in the front row. And I was amazed seeing the orchestra pit up close. The first instrument I could easily see was the harp
This is just crazy how amazing these dancers are! Even the ones in the back had great character!
The lead girl dances so beautiful she made me smile everytime she came up, love this
you gotta see this in person, look at those flowers as a whole not just a single flower. It's a wonderful experience to attend a ballet concert
Some people didn’t like this. I wish them recovery
They need a covid test because they have no taste
I don't think the thumb-downers are people who just don't appreciate ballet. I think they are pros who don't like that the ballerinas a bit uncoordinated. I am not a ballerina, but I grew up with classical music and watched all the main ballets dozens of times when I was a kid. They are supposed to dance like one, not be all over the place. But I am giving it a thumb up for the beautiful music by the eternal Tchaikovsky. He was a basket case but look at the gifts he left behind.
Maybe they prefer Moscow style, which is more classical
Ballet is such a gorgeous art, I love everything about it
This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen ❤️
Doesn’t anyone else want to be the kids in the back eating food. Lmao
I pretty sure that's fake food.....
Yeah, im a dancer and in stage there’s no real food😅😅
David J. Azcorra Cámara i think if they would be real food they wouldn’t be allowed to eat it
At least I would allow it😂 (everyone is starving in there😅)

The Dew Drop Fairy was absolutely amazing! She was so light on her toes/feet. Wow!! Brava!
The costumes are something otherworldly! How stunning is the movement in those fluffy tutus! They move effortlessly with the most gorgeous flash of color!
🩷💜
I AGREE!!! They all remind me of the Sugarplum Fairy!!!
No me canso de ver este vídeo. Lo amo. Es tan magnífico todo. 😭👏👏👏
The dewdrop girl’s attitude turns are ✨amazing✨
This is by far the best and liveliest rendition I've come across. Absolutely stunning. Each dancer performed wonderfully, especially the soloist. Every tiny move, every facial expression, simply everything was executed with such grace and beauty.
Tchaikovsky couldn't have put one more ounce of emotion into this piece, especially at 3:24- brings tears... These dancers are exquisite and convey the emotion perfectly ❤️
I would agree & absolutely LOVE that beautiful sequence leading up to that with the 4 rows in tangent! 💕💕💕💕
Soo polished & smooth & Perfectly executed!! 🩰✨🩰✨🩰✨🩰
Oh my goodness! I also lose it at 3:24 !!!🤍🤍🤍
I could watch this all day.....😊
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever watched in my entire life.. Makes me cry everytime, because it is just so so beautiful...
I'm very thankful to Tschaikovsky, Balanchine and these great ballerinas! This is the most happily beautiful performance that I have seen in my life.
Gkb shatb
This just brings me so much joy! Ashley is AMAZING!!!
もう何度も観ています💕
バレエのこと全く分からないのですが、メインダンサーの方本当に綺麗な動きだと思います😌✨
わからんのか〜い 笑笑
Can this be even more magical and Enchanting?!
As much as I like the Royal Ballet, I find this version so much more exciting and fun to watch!
IKR?! I love RB's Nutcracker but there's nothing better than Balanchine's Waltz of the Flowers, absolutely stunning.
No he visto un Waltz of the flowers más hermoso que esta versión. No es sólo el montaje coreográfico, sino que siento que cada bailarina en particular de este vídeo le dio magia a esta pieza musical. Hermosas. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩🤩🤩🤩
Ashley is my favorite!!! She has such a confidence with her dances. If you aren’t having a good day, just watch one of her dances and you will feel uplifted.
I am so in love with Dew Drop. Her performance is simply stunning!
