Hi Friend During kingfish season wire is a must for me . Yes strikes are fewer however without wire the success is 50/50. The big ones tend to take the whole jig and during landing time , when they make one last turn in the backwash they cut the monofilament . I lost many big specimens over 10kg mark that’s why I use steel and now I get bitten of rarely . The jig is DUO copy chrome 40g . @@angleralton Incredibly strong rod with that 15-50gr cast action. I want to buy 1002HH model, i think it would be able to handle even big fish from the shore.
@@varalicardrina yea, it’s strong but this model is for light shore jigging . I caught many fish in 10-15kg mark and works well You must choose the model that suits your type of fishing .
