Official political maps of our Govt, always showed Aksai Chin and POK as parts of India, this is nothing new. Similarly, steps like forming J&K and Ladakh as UTs, revocation of Art 370 and reiteration to take back Aksai Chin and POK are all for domestic reasons. What perhaps, rattled Chinese was the steps taken by Govt to improve roads infra near LAC. In that sense he is a great asset to the Indian military & the Intelligence set-up to make up for their deficiencies in understanding Chinese thinking particularly. Pravin Sawhney is a long-standing champion and narrative builder' of Chinese impregnability & infallibility. Any hint of Chinese vulnerability at Doklam is immediately converted into a strategic coup. He is almost Xi Jinping's alter ego. It would do well for the Indian Military to assume everything Pravin says is the truth, for the simple reason, that bench-marking to that level will invest our Forces with extraordinary powers of readiness for battle, far beyond what 'a medium power' (Pravin's slotting of India) requires. It is also a much-required antidote for the jingoistic fervour of others in the digital landscape, who see China collapsing daily.
