Secret Santa surprises woman whose car was totaled when a driver crashed into a home

- The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift $500,000 this holiday season! Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and wants to help as many people as he can.
We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances.
Rachel Verdel's car was totaled when an SUV ran off U.S. Highway 20 and into a townhouse in Rexburg. Rachel is single, from out of state with no family nearby and is trying to work and go to school. She has no other form of transportation and now has to ask for rides to and from work, school, the grocery store, etc.
Rachel is an innocent bystander whose car was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She only had liability insurance, so her insurance company will not replace her vehicle, and the person driving the vehicle that hit hers did not have insurance.
Secret Santa decided to give Rachel an early Christmas gift and sent the East Idaho News elves to pay her a visit with a special delivery. Watch the video above to see the surprise!

It's interesting how deserving people never know how to act when they're given something. I'm happy that this secret Santa is fixing this.
There are secret Santas everywhere. Maybe the gifts aren't always large or expensive, but there are generous, kind people everywhere who give and share with others.
It’s typically people who don’t get many breaks in life, things tend to not go their way. It’s really nice to see that change ❤
Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a Secret Santa in every state? I love the joy they are bringing to so many people that struggle one way or the other.
I think there is, you just have to be unfortunate enough to have one. I don't want one because the chances are slim. But I do appreciate these video and the workings and blessing of someone who can give. My wife always tells me that I give stuff away like im rich. I give stuff stuff away and buy stuff for people who needs it. I was just in the dollar store toady and some young chickee walked up behind me with razors (to shave her legs or what ever else) and I kept sliding her razors towards my stuff and she kept sliding it back to her. I winked at the cashier and slid it forward again and the cashier rang it up "on accident" and I paid for it. The girl looked like she was 14 years old because as I was getting my truck "on route" some lady walked up and asked if I bought it for her, I honestly said mam it doesn't matter. Happy New years and drove off. Im proud of myself of my wife being mad or just bringing to my attention I blow money like im rich. Im not richI have a heart. I don't want praise I just want people to know there are secret santas and people who just wannabe.
@@robertmason7553 , nothing like blowing your own horn. But maybe buying razors for a 14 year old girl to shave her legs "or her whatever" wasn't the best choice. Good thing you didnt respond to her mother, she could have been about to read you the riot act. 😅😂🤣

That’s so awesome! I know what it’s like to have a totaled car and someone without good insurance. I had 2 totaled cars when somebody hit my mom while she was driving and both times it wasn’t her fault. Luckily my insurance covered everything but the deductible because the second time the person had F rated insurance and they never paid. Secret Santa is amazing.

Its so beautiful watching these videos. I get chills and all choked up. I love giving to people. I have always been that way. I dont work and times are hard but if I have $20 in my pocket and thats all I have I will still
give to people. Not because I want it back but because it truly makes me smile and fills me with joy. I have always said that if I ever become financially stable in a way that I can help others I soooooooooo WOULD. I dont need to be rich, but just to be okay and not have to worry.
