    Awesome tutorial! I was just struck with inspiration about two pieces of amethyst that I have that pair together to make a nice arrowhead-shape, wanting to make them the "center-stone" on a circlet. I've made wire-wrapped pendants before, but never rings or circlets, but I think I should be able to modify this tutorial to work perfectly!

    Beautiful! Do you know a good way to temper the whole thing (after shaping it and all) so that it's not so easily bent?

    • @FantasiaElegance
      @FantasiaElegance  4 года назад +3

      Thanks so much! You could try hammering the circlet on a steel bench block with a rubber mallet, prior to shaping it around your head. I do not know any way you could feasibly harden it after shaping. I usually just rely on work hardening the aluminum wire prior to making the circlet (by flexing it back and forth between a cloth in my fingers).

    How do you measure your head to make sure the crown fits? Also this was a very very helpful tutorial thankyou♡

    • @FantasiaElegance
      @FantasiaElegance  4 года назад +3

      Hi Adel! You can measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure, or if you don't have one, wrap some string around your head and then measure that string length with a ruler/yardstick. But if you make this circlet as described, it should fit the average adult head with no issues. Since the back is open, you don't have to get an exact fit like you would with a full band/crown style.

    How do you measure for the actual head? I'm not quite sure how to measure for my head as mine is very small and my friend wants me to make one for her and she's got a larger head

    • @FantasiaElegance
      @FantasiaElegance  4 года назад

      Hi Natalie, for reference, my head circumference is 21.5 inches in diameter, and this design made as shown fits me with a gap in the back of about 6.5 inches between the ends of the circlet. I think it would comfortably expand or shrink to fit larger and smaller head sizes plus or minus up to about 3" from mine - so anywhere from 18.5 to 24.5 inches. The circlet will just have a smaller gap in the back between the ends of the circlet for smaller head sizes, and a larger gap between the ends of the circlet for larger head sizes. If you're worried about it not fitting, you could always add or subtract a few inches to the length of the wire you cut.
