Big blocks with blowers, Twin Turbo’d LS’s, 4G63’s? - All having their cards to play in this game, they stacked up against each other fighting the struggle of trying to keep just a little more traction than the guy in the other lane. 4g63s are great little engine's have one in my 63 falcon. It's weighted very nice for the street, it only weighs 2100 pounds and it's all steal and glass

Want to see that white DSM and white fox run again. Those DSM's were mean. AWD is always going to be hard to run with in the 1/8th
the more slippery the better for them BUT AWD is hardly an advantage in most situations, using all the energy available to plant the rears is the best option for drag racing, leave the awd for Rally racing

Eclipse GSX a few of them weren't street I know, but thebonly reason the dsm didn't have huge tires because awd and the Camaro f bodies had just radials so they were street and some of the fox bodies

I love imports I drive a mazdaspeed3 but v8s are where it is at, the tq is the diffrence

I clicked bc I saw the 2g DSM. Glad to see they held their own. I feel like the white 1g ran better than the red one but no doubt love dem dsms
The auto's are generally faster modded. My buddies auto 1g would always beat my fox from a dead stop. He also had a knarly 4000 stall torque converter so he can really load that thing in 1st. But once I had a transbrake and a 3500 stall in my fox. It was close. Depending on how good the road is.

It's street racing though, and he broke the rules. Doesn't matter if he was going to win, he jumped the light. So he loses the round. His fault. Yep he would have won, but he messed up.
it was equal, his jump distance matched the end result distance just watch for yourself, the real difference is grip with the rwd muscle cars, if they could get good grip they would get faster times than the dsm

red dsm was damn impressive for using what looked to be the stock 5 spd. but that white fox body hooks amazing. dialed in perfectly. if they were at a drag strip im pretty sure the fox body would be faster than the white auto dsm.

So if I make the awd system work in my foxbody with a regular 4x4 setup from a Chevy truck. With 4.50 gear ratio. I would smoke the shit out of them DSM. But than it's on the street. It's not at the track.

Ramon Naturally aspirated motors work based solely on cranking compression and atmosphere, well among other things. But the point is, Natural atmosphere has a major effect on a non turboed motor. Generally speaking, a naturally aspirated motor will lose about 3% of it's power for every 1000 feet of elevation it climbs. On the other hand turbo motors, (and supercharged motor for that matter) create their own atmosphere. At maximum boost, the motor has no idea at what elevation it is working.

Sorry to break it to you domestic fans but the white DSM was the legit winner out of all these cars. He never jumped the start on the semi final, it was a PERFECT start but it was too close to call for human eye at the moment. On the replay you can clearly see it was a superb jump, just in time the light came on.
