@@MintJoyPictures The key to getting into Fighting games, is to use training mode to master inputs. You don't need to master inputs when playing casually, but doing so allows for more variety and flashy combos. I recommend Blade Strangers or Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix as a starting point.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is also a Crossover like 4 arena ultimax especially because of 3 reload. Although Persona 3 has an amazing story, it's just not completely over because the main character still needs to be saved and Aigis still hasn't gotten her happy ending. @@MintJoyPictures Plus Aigis from a story perspective would be able to relate to Sumire’s loss of a loved one since she would know how it hurts to lose someone you cared for deeply like how she lost Makoto all those years ago. I disagree with not including the P3/4 cast. For a lot of people, the appeal of a potential P5 Arena game is bringing back the older characters and seeing how they’ve grown since. PQ doesn’t count to me since everyone forgets everything and the interactions we do see feel too… “ideal”. Everyone is immediately friendly and immediately on the same page. One of the things I really liked about Arena was how much it involved the real world and real people, along with how Naoto was actually investigating Mitsuru and how they were initially at odds with each other. That idea could be pushed even further with the PT’s, since they distrust authority figures and would falsely believe that these people use Personas to do evil things. While the Shadow Ops might be concerned with how publicly they flaunted the collective unconscious and brainwashed people with their heart changes. It could also address the plot hole for why the Shadow Ops didn’t get involved during P5. There’s no way Mitsuru doesn’t get a massive shadow reading from Tokyo and later from the Jails. Naoto would probably very easily deduce the identities of thieves and possibly the true thoughts of Shido, who’s benefiting the most from the shutdowns. Yu should have seen through Yaldy’s disguise if he ever interacted with fake igor. There’s a lot of ground for a story and a villain too since P5 had all that cognitive pscience research going around.
I know Atlus canceled it but a Persona series Party Game would be more appealing for me. Not only can it be silly and include Characters from every single game, the franchise needs a game that normies can jump into without being caught up on the lore. I think the current spin off games suffer from having to cater to gamers that have already finished a 70+ hour JRPG. If we had a game that was a celebration of the franchise while being “Mario Party but Anime,” Persona fans would be able to share a game with their friends and family
True, plus it’d be hilarious to see Ryuji saying “What the Eff..?!” to Ken by stealing the equivalent of a Mario Party star from him on turn 8/10 or seeing Joker and Sumire go against Kotone and Shinjiro in a 2 vs 2 mini game. Y’ know, just some good old fun non canon fun with the entire Persona cast.

I mean, Catherine had a Persona 5 crossover event before, so why not have Vincent make a guest appearance in a Persona 5 title? Especially since in this hypothetical game, all the characters are practically adults at this point.
This is a very interesting take on what a new Persona fighting game should be. I personally would rather it play more like Arena so my skills I've built up transfer better, but you have some good ideas in here. My dream game would be something like Street Fighter 6's World Tour mode. In that, you can walk around the world with a custom character, fight any NPC to level up, and learn the moves of the Street Fighter cast to use with your own character. I think that would be the best way to merge the life sim portion of Persona with the fighting gameplay to create a better experience like Strikers. Imagine Joker being able to walk around Shibuya and meets a random person has a dark aura around them. They have some sort of mini palace or shadow afflicting them, and Joker + the Phantom Thieves can jump in real quick and fight the shadow to rid them of the curse. It can be a copy of the other characters to teach new players their move sets without having to get curb stomped online. Joker himself can act somewhat as a customizable character, since he can switch Personas. He'll have his own move set, but will also be able to use the moves of the other characters in the game to create an interesting campaign experience. (In multiplayer, he will just have his base move set.) Going and doing different things around the world map can unlock new moves for Joker to use in battle, and perhaps even social links with other characters will allow him to use their moves and Personas. There are a lot of details to work out, but I think that would give a lot of content for casual players to enjoy and add replayability since the game won't just be a visual novel like Arena and Ultimax. Sadly, I don't even know if this spin-off is a possibility anymore... I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I would like to see a direct sequel to Strikers where the gameplay is similar to what you see in Baldurs Gate 3 with a cover system like in Tactica. That way Persona 5 is at least a trilogy. (minus Dancing or Tactica)
At least in this hypothetical finale to the P5 era, it would actually show each member of the Phantom Thieves in their adult lives either in college or in the work force trying to live up to their promise after defeating Maruki that they’ll go through life no matter how tough it get, however adult problems are SIGNIFICANTLY harder than teenager problems. It would show us truly how far each member has come since their adventures as Phantom Thieves in high school.
They could pluck him from an earlier part of his journey before he becomes the Great Seal. I can only imagine the older versions of SEES seeing their former leader in his high school self while everyone else is an adult or almost becoming an adult in Ken’s case. I can only imagine the shock on Makoto’s face seeing the older versions of his friends in this potential fighting game.
If i had a hand in the Roster, I'd add Guernica from the P5T DLC, that way Tactica gets 2 character with her and Toshiro, Strikers get Wolf & Sophie, and Royal gets Sumi & Maruki. As for story, Maybe some new villian drags Guernica into the Metaverse and Brainwashs her like Jerri did and Guernica is anagonist for a small period of the game, but during the midway or endgame she gets fed up with gets brainwashed and brakes free via a Persona Awaking and joins the Phantom Thieves.
Plus it would be touching if Guernica after snapping out of her brainwashing remembers Joker and Violet and comments how they’ve grown since they last met in the DLC story for Tactica (Figuratively and literally lol). If they make another p5 spinoff, I just want them to include Sumire/Violet. She's my favorite character and I'm sick of her getting shafted in spinoffs.
Yeah, Sumire had so much of her marketing go towards P5R and she gets shafted in future games. They didn’t do that to Marie from P4G so why not do the same for Sumi? Even with the Strikers members like Zenkichi and Sophia? Makes me wish that she was included in Tactica as part of the group considering at that point, the game takes place pretty close to when Joker JUST gets out of juvenile prison and goes back home.
I'm all for a P5 sequel to tie in with P4 and P3 and the lore built around all 3 but I'd rather not have a one on one fighter like Arena but rather a genuine game where all characters get free reign to interact in an open plot similar to Strikers which I think is the more likely scenario. P3 and P4 are very well equipped for that style of game and actually allowing the WC users to properly make use of their abilities I just think would allow for a more mechanically enriching experience. It really says a lot about P4A's own mechanics that it's own tutorial has the lowest achievement/trophy percentage of most of the ones in the game. That said, Joker was initially intended to appear in Arena Ultimax so it most definitely can work.
I quite like the ideas being put down here, but I don't think we need cognitive versions of the characters outside the PT's, they can just be the real selves and they are here just because they want to help their friends. That motivation of helping friends is more understandable than cognitive copies not having the delevopment or have that be carried over would feel hollow towards the fans of those characters.
I think you did a pretty good job with this concept. I really love Smash Bros, I’ve gained hundreds of hours just playing Ultimate with my friends at school. While I do think platform fighters have a lot of combo potential and usually have a wider audience I still would really love a P5 anime fighter. P4AU is probably one of my favorite fighting games to this day(Labrys is so awesome) and I would really love if they could make a P5 anime fighter(I would kill for a game that I could main Ryuji, Sumire, and Sophia in) Either way I still would buy either a P5 platform fighter or traditional anime fighter any day
I agree that Smash is way more fun then traditional fighting games, but “platform fighter” really isn’t a genre. It’s just Smash and Smash ripoffs. But even still, lots of people love P4A, and replacing it with just another Smash clone would make lots of people mad. Also since Joker is in Smash, ripping it off wouldn’t be the best idea.
What? That's like saying all fighting games are just Street Fighter rip offs because it's the most popular. Or that all JRPGs are just Dragon quest rip offs because it did it first.
@@Doc27901 Alright that’s a valid point but Smash’s original idea is way too unique to be a genre. Fighting games aren’t Street Fighter ripoffs because it’s an obvious concept that can be brought in so many different directions, for example Smash, which takes it in a very different direction that’s very complex and had never been done before. And RPGs are even more different, with everything within it. For an example, the movie Shrek is a comedy movie. Imagine a bunch of companies started making movies about ogres going on adventures to save princesses with wisecracking donkeys. They could also say “that’s a genre”. But it’s not. It’s an idea for a take on a genre. Same way Smash is a fighting game, not the first game of a genre. And games that take that unique spin on the genre and make it their own are rip-offs. Plus, have sprouted seen any of the platform fighters? Most of them are crossovers (I wonder why), and all of them are just Smash but worse.
@@thecatinthehat125 There is over 50 platform fighting games not including Smash bros titles. It’s just that the most well known ones are cross over titles because they get the most attention. But there are ones that do different things and are well beloved games. Like the Powerstone games. I do agree with you though that it would be better to keep any future Persona fighting game like the Arena games.
knowing atlus instead this would be a strictly p5 related story, only vanilla story, vanilla characters, and theyre taken to an alternate timeline a month after the events of persona 5 and it wont be a traditional fighter or a platform fighter, instead it would be a mario party game with a lot of dlc which are just ocs
P4AU looks like a really good game but it's dead online, I don't really like going into a discord to find a game or learn that's the main reason I don't play it. But any sort of Persona 5 fighting game I'll play any day of the week.
Ngl I don't want a P5U. I hate that they made P4U a sequel to the anime, rather than the game with "Yu Narukami" getting his anime personality instead of being able to shape it like in P4.
@@backupschmliff1156 it’s better they canonize a, and need I remind you, well liked version of the character who can interact with the rest of the cast and characters for the story. It would be awkward if the producers remained mostly silent especially when having to interact with others in their arcade modes or storylines. Besides the idea that Persona protagonists are completely blank slates isn’t really even that true to begin with. There has been an underlying personality to each of them even in their original games. Things you can perceive from their dialogue options and the narrations explaining how the protagonist reacts to things or insights on their thoughts.
@@oreotaku4017 Never said they were a blank slate. Their baseline personality represents the themes of the game in some way, and allows that aspect of yourself to be expressed. It gives the silent protagonist more flavor than you would find in other games. That's why MegaTen games are so much better than the rest. However, that does not mean that they need to be fully voiced. It makes it feel awkward and out of character, and makes you have no role in the story. The P4U duology and P4D's story was so incredibly boring and longwinded because it was endless amounts of dialogue with meaningless choices. Unlike a lot of new fans, I don't want Persona to go the path of LITERALLY every other JRPG. It's the last bastion of silent protagonists outside of Dragon Quest, which doesn't even service the silent protagonist well. Silent protagonists is part of what makes MegaTen games so immersive and special, especially Persona games, as they are supposed to be YOUR journey through that character and those themes. Ugh maybe gatekeeping is good. Otherwise, anime fans will try to hijack the series and beg ATLUS to turn it into a watchable anime, rather than an game with an interactive story. Afterall, those complaints about silent protagonists didn't start until P5, with all those people who watched it on RUclips instead of playing it.
@@oreotaku4017 I should add, I wouldn't mind if they did it Persona Q style. Where there are three paths and the protagonists only talk in the other two. I just don't want to sit there watching a story with writing that is nowhere close to being on par with the games, with zero interesting visuals besides static environments and lip flaps. Persona 3 and 5 Dancing had nothing interesting going on in the plot, but I was able to finish it because they still make you feel involved. If it was just boring cutscenes of three people talking about nothing and you just watching, that would be horrible. Less is more. Characters in ATLUS games being written in a realistic way, lends well to silent protagonists, because it's likely you've had interactions with people like that before. Unless you had only one or two friends, then maybe you wouldn't be able to relate.
To be honest, I don't want a fighting game for Persona 5. With the spinoffs it already has, P5's roster is its most unique and already ambitious. Yeah, it had the dancing game and PQ sequel, but it gave us a proper sequel in the form of a hack and alsh by the name of Strikers. It has a mobile game which is Phantom X, and it recently gave us Tactica, a tactical RPG. There's really no need for a fighting game spinoff, especially with how already packed the spinoff roster is. We can save that for Persona 6.
sorry, persona 5 does NOT need a fighting game. while its cast of characters would probably fit well in a fighting game environment, persona 4 got a fighting game because atlus wanted to make some sort of cheap sequel and frankly just okay reskin of blazblue. if they wanted to make a persona 5 arena, they definitely would've consulted with arcsystemworks to help make that too and it ESPECIALLY doesn't need a platform fighter
This is so ambitious, it feels like it would be the climax of everything built around the P5 universe, overall, too good for Atlus to make it (They're scared of money)

P4AU is probably one of my favorite fighting games to this day(Labrys is so awesome) and I would really love if they could make a P5 anime fighter(I would kill for a game that I could main Ryuji, Sumire, and Sophia in) Either way I still would buy either a P5 platform fighter or traditional anime fighter any day
Atlus shouldn't made a Persona 5 fighting game by now
I don't think I'd buy it without p4 or p3 characters
Too cool of an idea for Atlus to do I fear
I agree that Smash is way more fun then traditional fighting games, but “platform fighter” really isn’t a genre. It’s just Smash and Smash ripoffs. But even still, lots of people love P4A, and replacing it with just another Smash clone would make lots of people mad. Also since Joker is in Smash, ripping it off wouldn’t be the best idea.
Smash is a party game genre not a fighting game genre
@@oreotaku4017 I can agree with that.
you COOKED
I HAVE NEVER HEARD SOMEONE SAY ARSENE LIKE THAT BRUH
iirc P5 Arena has been in talks for a good while but is currently stuck in development hell
qwe need ken and koro to come baaacckkk
knowing atlus instead this would be a strictly p5 related story, only vanilla story, vanilla characters, and theyre taken to an alternate timeline a month after the events of persona 5 and it wont be a traditional fighter or a platform fighter, instead it would be a mario party game with a lot of dlc which are just ocs
P5T failed its expectations and already knowing how Atlus wants to move on
0:51 hey wait I recognize that edit
I would love to characters from persona 1 & 2 for DLC.
Elizabeth’s quest to save Makoto Yuki needs to have a conclusion, hopefully a happy one
I read it as PSA
P4AU looks like a really good game but it's dead online, I don't really like going into a discord to find a game or learn that's the main reason I don't play it. But any sort of Persona 5 fighting game I'll play any day of the week.
At this point I don't even want it anymore. I just want 6. Make the fighting game spinoff for Persona 6 instead.
Send this to Atlus plis 🙏🙏
I'll be honest, I am tired of P5 spinoff. I am burned out of the Phantom Thieves. I just want P6 already😭😭
I know I'm gonna get some flack for this, but I hope P5 Arena doesn't get made.
yeah at this point it's better to just wait for P6
If they make a fighting game, they better put in counter strike as a track
I beg you to please research pronunciations for some words😭 (Yusuke, SEES, Arsene, etc.)
Ngl I don't want a P5U. I hate that they made P4U a sequel to the anime, rather than the game with "Yu Narukami" getting his anime personality instead of being able to shape it like in P4.
L take
@@oreotaku4017 Silence background NPc
We can save that for Persona 6.
we don't need another persona 5 spin off please for the love of god
I''m sorry this is a great video and everything but the start made me extremely mad
sorry, persona 5 does NOT need a fighting game. while its cast of characters would probably fit well in a fighting game environment, persona 4 got a fighting game because atlus wanted to make some sort of cheap sequel and frankly just okay reskin of blazblue. if they wanted to make a persona 5 arena, they definitely would've consulted with arcsystemworks to help make that too
and it ESPECIALLY doesn't need a platform fighter
