      Yes, I've not bought any product from Boots since their Christmas advert. They are probably trying to show they care for our farmers to make up. The damage has been done. When will their next woke advert be I wonder. Go woke go broke.

      @ there’s no denying that the supermarkets gouge the farmers, I’m happy to pay more, and in fact I do, I only eat meat which I get direct from a farm.

      @@mikecrimlis3366I lived in the Fens, I saw fields of onions turned back into the ground. Why? Because they were the wrong size for the supermarket. I’d stick my neck out and state, 99.9% of Joe Public either slice, dice, chop onions when cooking. Size and shape matters not.
      It’s the supermarkets.

    Obviously they’re only backing the farmers for self-serving reasons but that’s not important. What is important is that more and more important voices are putting pressure on this vile government. (I make an exception for the Co-op as I do feel they at least have some principles).

    On the eve of Brexit Britain should have ramped up everything branded with made Britain, farming output should have double, British beef , British lamb, British pork, British steel brand should have been pushed as the best in the world, our exports today should be double if not tripled if it wasn't for those holding Britain back, with let's go green and go broke.

    Conned with the charge for carrier bags though .
    Supermarkets began using Biodegradable bags that were clearly marked as such until the charge was imposed .
    Appears that they went back using standard plastic bags .

    I do find there is a degree of irony and hipocracy here from the supermarkets. I applaud their stance against the governments inheritance tax on farms, but just remember the big supermarkets are screwing farmers on pricing day in and day out.
