    • FINAL FANTASY VII REMA... -~-
    Song- Sleeping at Last- Chasing Cars (Cover, original by Snow Patrol)
    A Small tribute to Arthur Morgan and Mary Linton.
    During her youth, Mary was in a romantic relationship with Arthur Morgan and the two were deeply in love, but it would ultimately fall through due to both Arthur's affiliation with the Van der Linde gang and the prevalent disapproval of her family, particularly her father.
    At some point afterward, Mary eventually married and took on the name Linton, but her husband had passed away from pneumonia, leaving her a widow. To make matters worse, her family grew to be dysfunctional as well. Her brother Jamie, had joined Chelonia, an infamous fanatical cult. Her father, gradually became more withdrawn and verbally abusive to his children, growing more and more dependent on alcohol, whoring, gambling, and has begun pawning off much of their family's property.
    Events of Red Dead Redemption 2
    Horseshoe Overlook chapter
    Mary contacts Arthur for the first time in many years. She pleads for his help to convince Jamie to leave the Chelonians. Arthur is apprehensive due to poor relations with the Gillis family but was admits that he was at least on good terms with Jamie. If Arthur accepts, he successfully chases down Jamie, convinces him to leave the Chelonians. He then brings him to Mary at Valentine train station. Mary and Jamie board the train to return home and Mary thanks Arthur for his help. After this, Arthur laments how he feels both elated and foolish for how Mary can manipulate him and resigned to the fact that he wouldn't be able to refuse her.
    Saint-Denis chapter
    Mary later asks Arthur for help with her father, much to Arthur's ire. Mary begs for his help and tries to justify her father's poor treatment of him, but Arthur angrily points out that Mary's "pure life" hasn't fared much better either. Pointing out Jamie joining the Chelonians, Mr. Gillis' deeply hypocritical and deplorable habits, and the fact that she was now begging him for help. If Arthur accepts, he brings Mary to Mr. Gillis, who verbally abuses Mary before storming off. Arthur and Mary follow Mr. Gillis to an alley and discover that he was pawning off a brooch gifted to Mary by her mother. Mary angrily confronts her father, as Arthur goes to take the brooch back from the buyer. After Arthur gets the brooch, he returns to the alley and finds Mary sitting down dejectedly, who expresses indifference to wherever her father went.
    After the situation with Mr. Gillis, Arthur offers to take Mary to the trolley. On the way, Mary asks Arthur if they could go to the theater together instead of as friends. If Arthur accepts, he takes Mary to the theater and the two begin to warm up to each other and reconnect. After the performance, Arthur takes Mary to the trolley. As they reach it, Mary laments the deteriorating state of her life and asks if it's too late for her and Arthur. Arthur admits that he does want to run away and be with her, but he also states he doesn't want Mary to get hurt, he has people in the gang to take care of, and that they need money. Arthur promises that as soon as he can get the money they can run away. The two-part ways again for the final time.
    Arthur receives a letter from Mary, enclosed with the engagement ring he gave her many years ago. In the letter she says her goodbyes to him and that it was time to let each other go. She acknowledges that Arthur is unlikely going to ever leave his life behind and apologizes for how their relationship turned out. She hopes that the letter can be passed down to another couple in love in order to help them too.
    Mary's final words to Arthur can be one of the lines he reflects upon during his last ride.
    Some time later in the epilogue, she visits Arthur's grave, quietly weeping for his loss.

    Ya know no video game has ever made me so emotional, no video game has ever left such a mark on me, no video game has left me feeling lost without it, no video game has given me so many memories, so much joy, so much anger and heartbreak, I cry so easily whenever theres any sad edit about arthur or rdr2 in general like it actually hurts dude, idk what rockstar did but God they did something
    And arthur, oh arthur. Never have I loved and cared for a video game character as deeply as I love and care about arthur, idk what it is but hes a beautiful character, this story is a goddamn masterpiece, arthur is literally the best protagonist gaming has seen, red dead redemption has a special place in my heart and tbh it's been a month and i still cry extremely easily, I'm still attached and I will forever be. This edit is beautiful absolutely heartbreakingly beautiful I love arthur and he had such a hard life I look at mary and the gang and I think God I wish u couldve gotten the life u deserved arthur, I am still broken over the ending, but in general well done also not to mention it was a slap in my face and in rockstars and the rdr2 fans that rdr2 didnt win game of the year honestly it hurt me even more
    But we did take home alot of awards and that's what matters and adorable gem of a man, roger clark got the award he deserved, his performance as Arthur was outstanding I've never felt so connected
    Again well done, love your edits keep them coming

    Arthur is one of the most intricate and unique characters I've ever played with. Players become so emotionally invested. You can feel the pain Arthur bears, you can hear it in his voice. And as arthur tries to change and deals with his demons...you feel it right there with him. This game was beautiful, it was a story I can read again and again. It was powerful...it is never too late to do the right thing and turn your life around. And to make the best of what little time we have left, because anything can take it from us. When Arthur died, it broke my heart. The world needs more men like arthur.

    The fact that Arthur's dying wish was to face the West and watch one last sunrise (to remember the good ole days) is profoundly meaningful. It's chocked full of esoteric profundity.
    The sunset denotes the end----- a fast-approaching impending darkness and gloom-------a darkness that overcomes and chases out the light.
    The sunrise denotes a new beginning-------the all-consuming influx of light...the dawn of a new day-----a day that penetrates and chases out the darkness.
    It's not that Arthur didn't get what he wanted--------by an unseen force-----his expectations were exceeded.
    This is what's on John's grave-marker: "Blessed are the peacemakers"------[for they shall see the Kingdom of God}.
    The John Marston that we've all grown to love wouldn't be the man he was if not for Arthur. Arthur was the chisel that fashioned and formed John. Even in death: we see a bit of Arthur. For better or for worse: all of us are influencing someone. I know he's just a video game character------but Arthur Morgan has made me want to be a better man. In that, he's so much more than "just" a video game character. Arthur Morgan transcends the medium and has supplanted himself in the deepest recesses of our soul. That's no small accomplishment. Even if I never played the game again: Arthur Morgan will always be with me. His ghost is a welcome reminder that integrity and truth is all that matters. It's more important than life itself. You can take my life----------but death won't rob me of the truth-laden integrity that perpetuated the death.
    We all gotta live for something. If you're not willing to die for something---------then you're not living for anything.

    this was so perfect. i am so emotionally invested in this story. and in arthur. im sitting here sobbing because i can feel the pain arthur bears. and how he was so complicated, so intricately sewn together due to years of savagery and pain that he endured, yet so simple, he needed love, he needed security, he needed someone to rely on like everyone relied on him. playing as arthur i have never experienced something quite as emotional. so much joy, anger, but also heartbreak. my heart breaks for you, arthur. you deserved so much more than what you got. the worst thing is that he died on his own, in so much pain, as a ghost. it feels like no one suffered from his death but he was more man than any other he dealt with. the way he changed and evolved. the things he went through, all to die alone. at least he watched the sunrise.

    Arthur Morgan is the most well developed game character ever made in my humble opinion....and am I the only one that has figured out that Javier is Jacks real father???

    • @Outrigger200

      306Nick jack is pale, his poorly grown mustache doesn’t mean he’s the son of Javier

    • @306Nick
      @306Nick 6 лет назад +1

      If you antagonize jack as Arthur he’ll say “ya know you don’t look much like a Marston, maybe a little Williamson or Escuella”
      Also in the first Red Dead Redemption theres a part where Dutch tells John that the whole gang had Abigail and he was the one dumb enough to marry her.
      John will always be jacks true dad, but biologically I’m not sure it’s so.
      I may be wrong, but I’m intrigued at the least.

    • @oussama93
      @oussama93 6 лет назад +1

      @@306Nick Yeah, but what Arthurs does to jack is ANTAGONIZE. Not perse telling the truth. If you try to antagonize someone, you'll say anything to rile them up and what you say may not be the truth.
      And your point about Dutch may be true, but there is no certainty.

    • @306Nick
      @306Nick 6 лет назад

      Oussama Ezzaki %100 agree my man, it’s not certain it’s just a theory. I knew other people would have insight into it which is why I came straight to this video and posted that lol.
      Regardless, John is his father. My mind always goes to the gutter, and questions everything lol.
