Yuko is still active with her other band Hanafugetsu, I once heard her in an interview say that she had the idea of Wagakki Band to try to make the traditional instruments more relevant to a wider audience as people taking them up was in decline. She has also released solo work such as the song Campanula released a year or so ago. Whichever way you cut it she is an incredibly talented woman
And they are giving back to the traditional instruments and crafts field by putting out donation boxes and running donation campaigns to save dying trades - the koto, the shamisen, the fans, the umbrellas, the culture etc. It's so amazing and makes one respect them a lot, that they don't just do music, but actively set an example and lead the fans to do good things.
I remember one more thing. Thugaru-shamisen was used to be played by groups of blind travelling musicians in Tsugaru region. They invented that very unique style.
Howdy Smitty!! Wolfpack's here. Your reaction is always great and fun. I love it. Didn't I tell you about that banjo like instrument Shamisen? That type is called a Futo-zao (or sao) which means a Fat- rod. The neck is thicker than a regular shamisen, and play style is called Tsugaru-shamisen. Tsugaru-shamisen is a lot quicker and wilder than regular sophisticated city style. Yes, Tsugaru is a region in the northern tip of the main island of Japan and very remote from the center of Japan like Tokyo and Osaka. Just think of Montana USA. Alaska is Hokkaido Japan. I don't know much about the singer Yuko Suzuhana. I only know she has a couple of enchanting eyes and a very pretty woman with great talent as a musician and as a performer. I know her this much. She was brought up with Japanese traditional culture like Shi-gin (old poem recital with melody), Ken-bu (traditional sword dance), Bu-you (traditional dance, "you" is not pronounced like English you, should be yo and u), and also western music like classic piano.....and of course no one can be kept away from rock the music of Satan. Then here's Yuko.
The pan flute! I remember those commercials. I believe he was Zamfir - master of the pan flute! The names of the Japanese instruments: Banjo - Shamisen (shah-me-sen) played by Beni Flute - Shakuhachi (shah-ku-ha-chee) played by Daisuke Sideways harp - Koto (koh-toe) Kiyoshi Huge drums - Taiko (tie-koh) Kurona
English subtitles for WGB'S song can be found on the YT channel "CC W"! Also the lead singer of WGB has an official YT channel by her name "Yuko Suzuhana" just search her up on YT. 😃 ruclips.net/video/Q2meWkWqc-I/видео.html This is the Link for Tengaku! It won't get block cuz it was uploaded by WGB vocalist Yuko Suzuhana on her yt channel!
The video that was blocked, was exactly this one. I believed videos from Yuko's channel won't be a problem, but there you go. I saw the other day a reaction to another video from her channel, vocaloid cover too, but not well produced video. Is this the problem, the production? Because this was the only difference with "Tengaku". Both are made before they sign to avex, otherwise "Tengaku" would be uploaded on their channel. If the reason is the author of the song, then...but both were on Wagakkiband albums with avex, do they have different copy right owner? ..ugh i can't. It seems only well produced music videos (on Yuko's channel and avex) + certain concerts get blocked. The latter don't even survive a fan upload on youtube.
@@ohcomeongetoutofhere ohh... I see! Thanks for informing. I was of the view that the videos from her channel won't get blocked 'cuz I've seen few individuals reacting to her videos. But I guess if the MV is under the Avex production then it get blocked ... 😅😄
I don't consider Yuko a rock vocalist. This is the most rock band she had. Perhaps her solo album is rock-ish, but not more than Wagakki band's music. Her projects before that were Hanafugetsu and Asty (all female trio, piano and violin). Knowing Yuko like Disney music and prefer the ballads of Wagakki's catalog, i have a different feeling of her as a musician and vocalist. But of course, technically she can do wider range of music.
Not one of their songs but they make it their own. Many Japanese bands are notorious for copyright strikes. Many record companies sign up to an organisation in Japan that actively pursues copyright on their behalf. RUclips have to act on their instructions. Over the years I have seen various American reaction channels get completely taken down even after a year of being active.
Well hopefully with the changes that RUclips has put in recently with copyrights that won’t happen to this channel. Time will tell of course. I actually have a strike that will fall off at the end of the month, but I have heard that some Japanese companies are strict. Worst case the video will just be blocked in Japan. But I hope not. Fingers crossed I’ll be here for a while

so sad, traditional Japanese music mixed with modern are insanely good, why its declining though?
