  • Continuing our look at how things are improving at the local level all over Croatia.
Not so many people visit the City of Heroes, Vukovar, apart from on November 18, Vukovar Remembrance Day, which is a pity as there is a lot going on in the city as it continues to recover after being decimated in 1991. A look at 10 ways Vukovar is improving.

I have relatives in Vukovar, been there in the 2022. I was pleasantly surprised how well it looks. The Danube promenade is amazing. Vukovar was the richest city in ex Yu, no wonder it's developing this well, Osijek is close , only half an hour drive . And the restaurants are amazing. Overall a very nice city .

It improves with every visit, and it seems busier each time. The restaurants were all full on my last visit. It is great to see.

Finally the people are slowly realising that there is more to Croatia than just Dubrovnik, most countries always start promoting the capital city first unlike what happened here with Dubrovnik sadly.
1000 people visit Zagreb and 999 will return , sadly the same can't be said for Dubrovnik with over tourism, all of Croatia is wonderful and great delights awaits all, love Slavonia, well done for your content of bringing all of this wonderful country to the masses.
Remember turn right instead of left you may meet friends for life or at least have a wonderful experience, happy travelling.

Yes Zagreb has really grown on me these last few years. As for Slavonia - have you ever met anyone who came away disappointed?

Vukovar was always cleaner and more orderly than other cities. I remember when we would come to sports competitions, unlike our city, in Vukovar they had always a great infrastructure

ive said this and ill say it again... we need Brits immigrants asap... give them a house on island or seaside and we will have much more benefits than that house with property would cost. Thank you Paul.
disclaimer: not as a tourists, u Brits kinda go crazy on vacation. 😂

Not the best advice ask Magaluf !! And Benidorm we do not want this kind of environment, sadly Brits only want the sun and cheap beer , ideally a wetherspoons , this would be paradise for Brits.
