- Honest Review: Can Am LinQ 23 Gallon Trunk Box
There are not a lot of videos about this trunk box so I thought I would share my thoughts on it as of now. I will make an update if the need arises. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Excellent Video! I bought this based on your findings. Only thing not mentioned is for kids and shorter teens/ adults the front facing padding is mounted too high. Go to local hardware store and get two sheets of 3/8" hard foam with backing tape. Mount below the OEM foam. Also, to determine what you need to install this BRP Cargo box on your Can-Am Outlander (covers all the different BRP racks) go to instructions.brp.com and type this (Instruction Sheet Part Number in the PART NUMBER (SKU)) in search box 487801657 to get instructions.
Good thing to add. I will pin your comment so others see this.
I’ve been looking at this box for my 570 Max.. Nice review... Thanks :)
Good review, mate!
My 32gal/123 liters worked good . No crack or damage yet.
Jerana 911 That is good to hear. Do you feel the latches are holding up OK?
Would this box be able to store a husky 55 chainsaw, oil and gas and tools?
8/10. Would watch again. JoeyO... FACE!
Latches are fine if you are a mellow rider. I have one on my max and it has never come open when riding with my wife. When I ride without her I ride hard and it has opened many times on me. Usually when doing rough terrain fast. I have lost clothing and other things as I go on long rides.
It has stood up pretty good. I have had it 6 years. I was surprised because it’s pretty flimsy and the latches look weak. It’s a good trunk but if you ride hard it will open on you unless you make some modifications.
Looks good
Thank you.
Thanks for the informations about the box. Is it possible to put two helmets in it and can you lock the latches?
I would say helmets will not fit in the box but the larger one can store 2 helmets from what I understand. The latches do have a place for locks.
NewZona Rides Thanks for the Information. I think the bigger one is a bit to huge for the xt 570 max i am interested in. I think your box fits best to this model. Enjoy riding, like your videos of the trails, wish that trails would be offered sometime in Germany. :-/
What mount and GPS do you use that was briefly in the video? i have the exact same atv and just bought the same storage box, great video very helpful.
I don't remember what GPS I was using in this video but I only use RAM mounts. They make a bracket for most of the most popular GPS units. I have been using them for 20 years now and they have never let me down.
@@NewZonaRides Awesome thank you, very helpful.
@@nicolehayden3145 Always glad to help.
Nice video do you have a link to the plastic links that go on the frame?
Here you go: amzn.to/3r42ZsC
If you have the plastic racks it connects easily.
I’m about to buy the same box. Did you have to open up the rear hooks so they can fit on the rack properly? My hooks don’t seem to fit all the way into the rack bar.
No. Mine fit perfectly.
Same here, fits perfect without a hassle.
Is your box still good for dust? If I'm in dusty conditions trailing pretty far behind another ATV mine gets pretty bad inside. I have to take everything out after the ride and clean it. No way I would have any camera gear in there. Everything looks like it should seal but it does not. Just curious. Mine also rattles a bit at the back. 2021 Max XT.
Never had any issues. I still use it now on my new Maverick Trail.
Install a rubber gasket.
I couldn't see from angle but how much over hang was off the back?
There is no overhang. It fits exactly on the rack.
I am thinking about buying this box. How is it doing long term? I am next door in New Mexico and love desert riding. We have similar landscapes to trail ride through. Thanks in advance on the question.
It's still on my machine now and its holding up great. No problems.
@@NewZonaRides Great. Thanks for responding. I just bought the box and look forward to installing. I've really enjoyed your videos. I have watch many today. I hope to get an SXS in the future. I imagine it is a better upgrade as you have expressed in your videos.
Thanks again! Have a nice weekend.
Still using mine. No problems! I ride all year around in Michigan. 100% Satisfied!
do you think you could fit a helmet inside it? either a normal helmet, a pop open helmet or an half helmet?
No I don't think so.
@@NewZonaRides ok. thank you for answering though.
Have you broke off the straps? If so what did you use to replace them?
They are still holding up to this day.
How is the box holding up? Would you suggest going with it? Thank you!
The latches are the only thing I don't like. That being said they have not been a problem. If you want a box that fits perfectly I would say get it. It is holding up.
@@NewZonaRides Thanks for the reply!
Had this box for six months now. No problems. DO NOT BUY THE BRP 32 Gallon Box (many people reporting cracks in plastic and cheaply made for the money). 100% happy with mine (and I bought it based on this great video)!
Ok Darth Vader
Is your box lined with something? I see some sort of blue liner in one shot?
Yes. I stuffed a camping sleeping mat in there to pad the bottom. Makes less noise. when stuff is moving around.
Does it lock? Easy off means thief life made easy.
How much was it 😂
The box is ok. The latches suck. They bounce open. Carbeaners don't help. Actulally the latches broke off.
brian budge I agree. The latches are crap. I am going to replace them with something else when they become a problem.
They do suck. Worked at SK Northwest and they were all returned!!!!
