I appreciate what you do man. Your contribution to the Mpc community is a great addition. Cuz I have yet to share my plug-in perspective on the MPC. Because a lot of ppl sleep on the plugins as far as what’s shared on in the MPC community. My opinion
when you have strong belief about one thing its hard to see the other opportunity hopefully people see thats the point of this video, getting rid of hard belief to becoming more creative
I’m saving up for the MPC key 37 to have 3.0 and keeping my One+ on 2.0 😂 I thought I was the only one thinking that glad I’m not! will deffo cop the Ebook 🔥👌

I just bumped into your video and you know what your talking about and your straight up telling the truth even though it pinched a lil but those are the facts and i respect that!
Drop the next tutorial ebook. It doesn't matter that MPC 3.0 is coming out. 1) You've already did the research and hard work to create another volume in the series, so finish what you started. 2) There will always be a need for the knowledge of how to use MPC 2.15, and you are a major source for that information. 3) It doesn't matter how much you like MPC 2.15. MPC 3.0 is coming... You're going to learn and teach that software update, too!!! You probably already signed up for the beta test version 😅😅😅 4) When you take all that You've learned and apply it to MPC 3.0.... Continue your tutorial ebook series... Salute 🫡... dope video and beats. Keep Grind'n Jack.
It depends on how you use it. You can’t expect to have clean stems when the original sample has a lot going on. And the plugins to clean it up helps. Great video!! The newest beat on my channel was made with stems.
It's coming bro...I don't have the force (it's MPCs 16 pad ,4 bank layout across the whole face) but a guy from Akai said yesterday that force users are getting their update very soon
I mean ...they are dropping the 3.0 update which is basically the force UI which many folks bought for that DAW style standalone ...for that feature alone
As far as I always agree with you and respect your opinion, the standalone stems quality is way below hybrid stems, Serato Sampler, even free AI stems online services and mobile Koala Sampler.
The stem software all depends on how clean your samples are. I own various stem sep software and some sound better than others especially if you use. Splice sample for ex. It will come out clean but on the other hand, an old soul sample from vinyl might sound compressed, sounds a little Lofi. I used Neural Mix, Izotope RX 11 and Serato stem sep
Nice nice. 💪🏾🔥 The 3.0 looks visually amazing but I’m still keeping a 2.0 workflow. Mpc is still a computer at the end of the day so all this is expected.
MPC Stems are very, very bad quality compared to other apps. My mind set won't change that lol r I stem out on PC and sample from there. much better qualify and equally fast. Good tutorial though.
I think the source of the sample is key. I stemmed some WAV and MP3 files and there is some phasing depending on the recording. Vinyl is a different story. The quality of the stems are much better on vinyl. Especially older material. I’m assuming the recording process back than was different in terms of EQing and filters. BUT stemming digital music can be a hit and miss depending on quality.
Bro you're generally right. But if you compare that joint to any other "stems" software, it's severely sub par. It's not about wether it's crap or not, it's that it sucks compared to other options. But you right tho, it's the driver not the car.
I never said stems were good either. The point is that things are only as useful as you make them. Many people are too attached to their own convenience, which doesn't challenge them, and to their rigid beliefs about the right process, instead of focusing on the outcomes they can achieve.
Ima just open older projects on cpu and do standalone stuff on mpc untill cpu come out if I really needed to I’ll just export from 3.0 to 2.15 on cpu if I open a 2.15 beat on 3.0 I will click save as so I can still open on 2.15 but it won’t have changes it’s ways around it
Okay I get what you’re saying . I hate complaining about 1st world problems but stems isn’t as good as the desktop software. Logic on iPad does a really good job . Mpc standalone struggles a little but I expected it with 2gb of ram
Thank you for a great video! If I still want to use the desktop version JUST for the stems separation and continue using everything else standalone, what would be the best workflow to achieve this?
I’m not mad @ MPC, and I’d imagine uncompressed samples would yield better stem separation, but it sounds like trash. But I just use Serato Studio for stem separation. Problem solved. Then dump it all on a thumb drive and hook the MPC up that way. Respect to you though, G. You absolutely polished up that electric piano to a shine.
Serato sounds better for separation. Very few creators get into the coding side of things, but if Jae did he would see the algorithm Akai is “leasing” is in fact one of the worst “separation” algorithms out there….
This still in Beta. They won't get rid of it, they'll keep both workflows. This is why it's not out, they wanna hear the feedback. And enough of us have said, yea the update is cool BUT can you not get rid of the old workflow (or certain parts of it). I'm sure they will give us what we want in the end.
to me i wish they kept the same visual aspect but im up for the change if its actually a better workflow specially a linear arrangement can definitely be a game changer if done right
Bruh I can have the most trash setup and unhook everything and make a fire beat yes it is you, if you are professional you suppose to make everything sound good with what you got, people are just garbage.
