Crop and complied ages ago with my crappy PC, since Warcraft III was actually my favorite game back then
(yeah I do missed 2 in game cutscenes so please forgive me ^_^;)

Uther is not a good mentor, he just tell Arthas what should do but never try to understand what Arthas is thinking about.
I think velen or tirion would've made a better mentor.
Hard to Believe, but Arthas is more nice with his comrades as an undead.
Considering his "comrades" as undead don't even have free will
possibly one of greatest story in gaming history. too bad ilidan vs arthas fight animation was so lame... it deserved to have long cinematic fight since it is one of most iconic fight in history
MindaugasLegend It was actually planned to be a full cinematic, but Blizzard didn't have time to finish it properly, they wanted to publish the game as soon as possible.

+MindaugasLegend it was lame in a way that as a playable hero, Arthas sucked bit donkey balls, plus in the story line he was weakened...I HATED that hero he was the worse, theres no WAY he would have beaten Illidan, especially not with one blow

The Warcraft movie should've been about Arthas!
The movie was fine. They were smart to start with the early lore and introduce how Orcs and Human relations began. Going into a universe without easing into it and throwing a crap ton of characters and names that haven't even been well established to a new viewer yet wouldn't be good because literally only fans would benefit, and even then it wouldn't be great because it'd be more of a fan service thing rather than a competent movie. There were two more movies planned but the higher ups nixed that possibility.
Maybe the part 2 of movie is about Arthas

a little different, Anikan was "seduced" into the dark side (tricked) while Arthas fully gave in because it was all part of his "ends justify the means" mentality.

Rein of chaos and frozen throne are timeless. Good old time.
Kind of weird, Arthas was a holly paladin and became all the opposed to that, unholy a wretched merciless murderer.
The encounter with the sorceress Jaina, kind of makes me reflect, she is walking with a future villain.
Arthas was never evil. As Jaina said, he did what he believed was right, he just got played by the dreadlords and Ner'zhul. The main turning point was the purge of Stratholme. What he did at Stratholme was the main thing, which scarred his spirit forever.
One plot hole is that Jaina was with him, I mean, they could've contacted the Kirin Tor, not do this...slaughter...
Great story in overall. Hopefully, we will see it someday as a movie or series
Arthas is a legend, he alone brought WoW greatness, I legit cannot see a more fitting character than him. He is the most established character in terms of all qualities and his story actually makes sense (unlike whatever the hell happening now in shadowlands lmao)

9 years later and the original cutscene of the end of arthas's unholy crusade has degraded very badly that the original one is salvation

Arthas as a character (both human and undead), along with the storyline and his stature, is truly amazing. Would love to see a film about him!

Came back to watch this legend's story after the *atrocity* which was the Shadowlands ending.
I quit WoW per warlords of draenor, but watching shadowlands videos didnt make me wanna to resub ^_^;

Back when you can tell the difference between gameplay and cutscene.
Compared to the 'Illidan's Story' video, this one is really sub-par. A lot of important interactions like with paladins, Antonidas, Sylvanas and first encounter with Illidan are missing. Still a very good compilation, and as far as I know, the only one of its kind.
Oh man this cartoonish graphics and yet every time I replay it I enjoy great story and voice acting.One of the greatest games of all time!

A village being completely deffenceless impossible, they should have sayed nearly defenceless since a common militia would be no match for an invading army.
wow, now that i read 30% of the book i realize the meaning of the "Prince Kael'thas. I havent see you since....." and the "Consider this payment for Quel`Thalas....and other insults"....so blizzard had that part of the lore as backup for the main story of the game, amazing.... (fuck my english)
Arthas the most fleshed protagonist in fantasy ever - "the road to hell is paved with good intentions."
The day of the Wotlk expansion reveal and the trailer slowly zoomed in on Arthas with that soundtrack I jumped so far out my chair I could see the fucking wall of china
Great video, too bad you skipped the fight between Arthas and Uther. It is one of the most iconic moments in this story, and also heartbraking.

Man, after reading the book, I realize how much they left out. I honestly LOVE Arthas and his story. It's so rich in lore and I just love it.
+Scotty Septim They didn't leave anything out. The book was written after the events of WC3 by Christie Golden. THIS is how the story should've been and not with all the sugar coating bs she added to the lore.

Uther's death isn't in a cutscene - rather a fight in the campaign itself. It's a rather difficult one at that.
Just drown him in ghouls and then send Arthas for the final blow. Hilarious. It fucking takes forever tho, one sturdy bastard. They just wanted to give him a heroes death.
well some people say that the orcs are hardheaded oh well the humans are more hardheaded than the orcs thrall and grom immediately followed medivh instructions to go kalimdor and the humans decide to be some spoiled brat and stays to protect their lands

I don't know if I should feel hate or pity for Arthas...... He tried so hard to people only to fail and become the very thing he set out to destroy. Then he murdered his own father and destroyed many great kingdoms. I'll go with what uther said "Arthas I dearly hope there is a special place in hell waiting for you Arthas"

Looks a little bit like it's one of the flying critters, although it's hard to tell. It looks glitched out.
It's a pity you didn't include the closing cinematic of Strahnbrad. It showed how much Arthas actually cares about his people and sets his motivation for the rest of the story.

Hell I still play that game after leaving wow for years, it will always have a particuliar ambiance and gameplay that makes it immortal.. Best RTS ever made, I'll still play 10 years from now! thanks for the video :) and yeah, King Therenas was probably the worse king ever, dismissing proof after proof of the plague, and asking for more proofs after admitting the theres a conflict (see intro video).. he's like these cliché asshole police captains in action movies who take nothing seriously and assume bullshit instead of investigated and take precautions to prevent the worse

Oh yes its right : Medhiv was not elected as a warden by Kirin Tor , but it as herited full power of warden by his mother , yes ... But we also know Kirin Tor have accomodated themselves of this fact and recognize Medhiv like the real warden but they have no control over him
