    Great to see you're still at it J...well, your HANDS at least. I was worried about you for a bit. I use this SAME method for making inserts for my Powermatic saw...it works great. I just love how you tell such a detailed story without words...amazing. Hard to believe that all this time I've known you, I don't think I've ever heard your voice...lol. Also, nice shirt...love that pattern on the sleeves!

      I agree, he produces better videos without audio than most RUclipsrs do WITH audio.

    I am confused.
    Is this needed, so small wooden bits can't fall into the saw blade machinery?
    Why was the metal insert made with such a big hole? For safety so wood falls into the hole rather than fly into someone's eye?

    • @BillGatliff
      @BillGatliff 2 года назад +2

      The metal insert works for a range of blade angles and thicknesses. The wooden insert works only for the blade and angle it was cut for.
      The metal insert is for general-purpose work. The wooden inserts are for when you need very clean cuts, especially on small parts.
