Coming off Kristina's 21 Challenge we decided to keep fully raw another week. I started the crust at 8:00 last night. Turned it at 3:00 am, flipped it at 8:00 am, topped it at 3:00 pm and devoured it at 6:00 pm! This recipe is AMAZING. We can't believe the edge of the crust has a doughy feel in the mouth. Sooooo delicious. This is going to be a go-to recipe on pizza night. Can't wait to try it again with another set of toppings. Thank you for sharing your gift. Peace

I added thinly sliced sweet onions to the crust too. Cut them then thin onion rings then cut the rings open so they were in strips like the zucchini.

Also I think the Fries are really good, the Chili, and the bolognese for fancier, my favourite stew, and presto pesto are good simpler ones, and the pancakes and cinnamon buns for sweet treats ahhh so many, all are tasty :)

this is pure genius .. all my other raw pizza crusts fell apart when i loaded them up with delicious toppings, what a flop.. so i was really eager to try this recipe and indeed, the zucchini really does do a magic trick holding it all together.. plus these zucchini bases are low fat and taste good.. the only way i managed to hold pizza bases together otherwise was with lots of chia seeds which i dont want as its just too heavy..

I have struggled so long to eat the pizza crust with nuts, it's good, but it's just too much nut for me. I tried this recipe last year and LOVED IT! I am recently attempting a 2 month raw challenge (again) I am planning to make this pizza recipe again FOR SURE! I over dehydrated it a bit the first time, but it was still so good. I look forward to mastering this recipe. Thanks a bunch!

Wow I just made this crust!! It is the BEST tasting raw pizza crust ever!!! I live alone so I made the crust into sandwich size bread (crust) by cutting it into 9 pieces so I make 2-3 slices of pizza (open sandwich) each meal. Soooooo delicious. Thinking about buying your pizza recipe book. Do you still offer $14.99 special price? Another question is: does pizza sauce recipe in the book include non-tomato based sauce? Thank you!!

I think you will be blown away by the pizza book, honestly it makes this crust seem like amateur hour imho, especially the Mo Corn crust and organic corn is in season...

Great video and that pizza looks so good. I hope this isn’t a stupid question but did you also give the recipe for the tomato sauce that you put on top of the pizza, maybe I missed it but I went back and looked and I still didn’t see it.

Absolutely, great thickeners include dried red peppers, dried celery, celery, carrot, beet, dates, paprika, flax, chia, psyllium husk.
Ohhh I really like all the sauces from my pizza book, the Philly cheeze being one of my faves. Truthfully I also like the crusts in the book much better, they are easier, cheaper, quicker and even better taste and texture!

Dude!!! I am soooo getting a dehydrator. I followed a raw vegan diet back in the 90s for a short time and felt better than EVER. Long story why I didn't continue. Flash forward to 5 or 6 years ago, I became vegan again but after a year I switched to vegetarian. Big mistake. I could feel the difference in energy and mood.... and packed on the weight. But still persisted to eat cheese and cream sauces. BAD JANET ;-) But now I'm ready for only vegan foods again. I thought there was no way I could ever go back to raw vegan, but after finding out about using dehydrators, I'm rethinking all that. I definitely want to transition into it, but WOW... I am so excited to have found this video, your channel, and a few other channels in the past couple days. I'm kind of getting overwhelmed though, so I need to stop hunting for more recipes for now and just start making some of these amazing foods. Cannot WAIT to get a dehydrator and try this!! :-)

nice! i have been thinking about making a crust with blended zucchini, and using chia seeds unblended to kinda 'puff' it up. will try this though. seems great for any type of bread type recipe.

Hey Chris ! Now i just got a dehydrator, and i have found one problemand that is that my dehydrator has a hole in the middle !!
+Nature Boy Vegan Nice! Indeed many dehydrators are made that way and are tougher to make pizzas on. One option is to make 4-5 mini pizzas around the hole.. Let me know how it works :)
Question why every time I make this recipe & mix zucchini and sauce it's so watery? On your video no water is leaking once u put on tray. Thanks in Advance
That is interesting, do you add any salt? Otherwise I would simply add a bit more dry ingredients to your sauce (herbs, sun dried tomatoes) to thicken. It could be the type of tomatoes too, more dense less watery work best. There usually is a bit of water as the sodium from the sauce pulls some from the zuchini, but not a huge amount. Another option would be to make the noodles, spread them out and let them air dry a bit. Hope this all helps!! PS my new pizza book is coming soon with crusts that are much better and way easier!! :)

How do you make the tomato sauce?
I take a vitamix blender full of fresh roma tomato's, blend them with 2 dates for sweetness, a bunch of sundried tomatoes till really thick then pulse in Basil, Thyme and a bunch of oregano :) mmmmmmm sometimes I add a bit of Green Onion and Hot pepper :)

+Animals Are Our Angels more than my pleasure! Indeed dehydration does effect some vitamins and minerals but it depends on the food and how dehydrated you make it. I prefer shorter dehydration times for most things and then accompany dehydrated food with fresh, it's what you do most of the time :)

For those who can't afford a Vitamix, try Montel Williams' HealthMaster mixer.
+Health Nut never tried it but have heard its decent. The magic bullet / nutribullet is decent too for smaller batches.
HealthMaster is 50 bucks online- much better than 300 or 400 for those who want to try a concrete-pulverizing blender before shelling out the big bucks. I have used a HealthMaster. I have a Magic Bullet- great for smoothies for one person. Thanks!

+LovelydayRaw I set it at 130 the first 1/2-3/4 hour then to 119 over night. If I make it in a really humid place I turn it up a bit more.

I'm new to raw food and do not understand why the pizza is classified 'raw' if the crust was exposed to heat. What is 'raw' food exactly?

Generally, food is considered raw if it hasnt been heated above 109 -118 Degree's, afterwhich irreversable damage occurs. Of course whole fresh ripe raw fruits and veggies are the best nutrient wise, dehydration simply offers a variety of flavours and textures without the same damage done with cooking.

+Jenny Rain I have stored for a week at a time, haven't tried to freeze. A 9 tray Excalibur can make 4-5 max at a time. Also depends how dry you make it, if fully then a ziplock, if a little less than a tupper in the fridge. Let me know your experience

@@freyat5660 no prob! It for sure works, ideally you make longer shreds instead of short ones and it does make a bit denser crust but it works!

How often do you incorporate these kinds of dehydrator recipes into your everyday diet? I would be interested to try these kinds of things but don't own a dehydrator and can't see investing in one for just occasional use.
To be honest I usually dont use dehydrated foods (except to thicken sauces on occasion) in my regualr diet. When at the Farm of Life or other events often there are dehydrators to get fancy with. I find if most of the meal is fresh or only slightly dehydrated I feel great eating it even a few times a week. After a busy retreat season I will admit I do enjoy simple fresh foods even more tho :)
