Alliterative verse has always been a favorite of mine. What I think is really fun is to change the alliteration every line, or sometimes even within the same line... like...
"a pill-popping Texas trucker
hammering hard over the hills"
See how it keeps the mind and ear occupied? It's not just the same sound repeated throughout the entire poem.

I've recently written a children's book from A - Z in the alliteration form. Using at least one line per letter, but most have two or more lines per letter, without cheating by using an a, the, of, at, or any other cheat word. And I told a story, and made it rhyme.
I don't think this has ever been done before. But I don't have a clue how to publish a book. The following lines are not included in my book. But is an example of what I am able to do ...

But it’s a rhyming style. I think you mean assonance, which is usually what people use when rhyming.
